I have thought of this idea cause of my friend smokingaces he thought of tradeing or selling your items to other players of the game. This would encourage people to get rares or items and sell or trade them to other players who need them. I really think they should put this in the game cause its a great idea.

The staff didn't like this idea over at the other forum because they were concerned with the hackings of Diablo the PC game series.

Yeah this was shot down on EDF but even still i support the idea as long as varium gear cant be traded or sold without varium(thats prolly something that made teh devs shoot it down)

heres the thing about it, i like trading, but the staff cant find ways to prevent "hackers"
so people who are scared will say no.
i gave many ideas to aqw about ways to prevent hacking for trades.
but people still kept saying no.

You'd get way more of a deficit than profit by doing that, Shredder.

Unless you didn't need the Limited Rares and you've already accumulated a ton of credits.

I for one am in Complete Support for this. I've always wanted the physical Bunny zooka ( I have the energy one just I couldn't get a card because they were available in canada )
I'm sure that if they decided to implement this it wouldn't really ruin anything. If someone gets a bad deal it's there own damn fault. You should always analyze something before doing anything and anyone who thinks other wise should punish those who would love this feature.

SUPPORTED

Exactly people should always know what there in for before doing it. If this was put in the game it would be far for people who missed rares or didnt get it.

but limited rares can lead to inflation due to them being unavailable anymore so u cld charge 10x the amount for armor or smthin

Could fuse Runescape's General exchange with a bidding system. Meaning a item is placed in a exchange system so everyone can view it and people can bid on it.(It would have a set duration ofc like 4-8hrs or something) This would benefit the player and the Dev's because the player could sell a valuable item for a good price and people would be buying more Varium to get these items.

zman2 you have to find someone fool enough to buy it for 10x what you paid and people will prolly buy the cheapest they could get it before your 10x so it forces sales to stay low while still letting the buyer get a profit

Or if you chose to buy it at X10 then buy it. No one is forcing you. No limit to trades and if your lucky you can get 10k varium for something only worth 2k because people might want it that badly. One thing for sure tho Is Founder, Alpha and Beta equipment should not be trade-able, gamma stuff is ok because it's sell able as well :P

I played runescape and that bidding/trading system was aswome you could get things for cheap or skyhigh prices but it was worth it

the idea would be great, but hackers would just see it as a way to get something out of hacking accounts. they would hack someone and send all there stuff to there hackers main account.

@OWA
thats one of the things i suggested, no one can make trades with another account if both are logged on the same IP and computer.

How bout, you gotta be at least 500 yards away from the person you want to trade with. And for trades there is a special passcode.

One way I've seen before is use a little scale before you trade telling you if the trade is fair. If it's too far off then it won't allow you to trade. If it's decent and reasonable then it will. Therefore fixing the fairness a bit.

For the hacking situation; maybe have you authorize the trade with a secret questions/password only you should know(obviously not the same password you use for your account). Thus the hackers won't be able to trade off all your items into their main account.

Clever idea, This would work. But I see a problem with this whole idea.

someone has access to say 3 computers, does the surveys, thats alot of free varium. Then transfer it all to one character.

As mentioned in the posts above, we can solve that with the IP solution. No one can trade with each other if they have the same IP address.

As i said 204, 3 computers=3 different ip's on 3 different accnts.

hence would not solve the problem

for eg. public net café's and library's

edit again: P.s i have ask before for trading to be implemented on the old EDF and they said no. reason why is because it would take away too many paying customers.
