Do you think any old players will be coming back in Omega?

I haven't been playing epicduel lately for the past month or two. I'm planning on playing again in omega since I've seen how long they are spending on the release. They keep on saying they're planning on making this the best release ever. Are any of you planning on returning, or do you think old players will return in Omega?

Remorse is coming back ;) YEY! I wish I could add her ;/ But her friends list is full.

And other players, I've seen alot of Beta people (Founder & beta that I haven't seen much before) etc. AK Flasher and some other people.

Yup I think alot will come back, If Omega is a success, players may stay ;P.

Let me tell you this:

If they are informed about Omega, likely yes for trial.

If they are no longer informed about EpicDuel (or AE in general), then no, Omega will have no effect on them.

But, to answer the thread question: Yes, indeed. Old players leave because they get bored of the game. If they hear the game is entering a new phase and their are some major changes underway, many will return to try it out.

I've seen many old players returning, because they heard of the Omega Release.
I wasn't playing for quite few months.
But I have now returned.......

I believe I'm one of those old returning players you're speaking of .

I have became a bit more active within EpicDuel around early December only because the news of a new phase intrigued me immensely.

Unless you're from beta, then I wouldn't count you as old, considering you haven't experienced the best phase there has been.

I returned right after a ban, then my brother snuck into my room and thought this dude was giving "free" varium and got my account given away >.> Would that count as retired? The ban lasted a year and I was way too lazy to do anything about the "hijack" until after 6 months :/

^My beta account was disabled for around a year as well because I was very gullible as a 13 year old :P

 @Helper depends what part of Beta you joined in because the last leg of beta isn't much different then now. Stat spammers and players abusing builds to make every battle boring

I will give Omega a shot but it has been like 100+ days since I actually sunk some time into this game

I joined exactly the minute ED merged with AE, I guess around December 09 - March '10

i actually joined during beta times, a few months before enhancements were thought up. i created several characters and tried
all 3 classes. i got a crap win % on my first few characters, including the mage i leveled up to 31 before i decided that 50% rate
just wasnt what i wanted to have on my main character. then i created the character i use to this day, now named Renegade Reaper.
i changed names twice, only once by my choice. unfortunately, i didnt get the beta cheevo on Renegade Reaper. i didnt care about
achievements back then. i had a great time playing through beta days. then enhancements came and i, as a non varium, was NOT
happy. i was happily killing varium and non varium players left and right. anyways, i will happily keep playing this game, and i hope
that other founder/ beta players will join us in trying out omega.

 @Helper if you can get on the master account for your beta character it will tell you the exact second that you joined

People don't need to know the date but the time is just proving my point

But I would count gamma characters as old because 6 months and this game starts to get old in the current system imho. The wars are fun though but they are few and far between
