spoiler:
I absolutely love small quests like this that really characterize the Hero's relationship with Draco. They always cement the two characters bond with one another and the care they have for each others well being is always depicted as something that runs deep even in these little quiet moments. However, this quest has also been yet another indicator that the Hero isn't necessarily doing the best when it comes to caring for their own health or at the very least scratches some deep rooted problems they have when it comes to being the hero in Greenguard. Which also another aspect that I appreciate when it pops up because it shows its not something they're the best at confronting, at least not all the time. Whether it be our fear of being frozen, our fear of that we will fail in keeping the innocent alive, our fear that we may not be a truly good hero that solves problems, and of course our perpetual fear that we could lose those closest to us are the little things that add up together that remind us that in spite of all that we have managed to rise above in the past those concerns do drive us to an extent just as much as our desire to help others. With that in mind, it does make me feel kind of bad for Draco because they are the only ones in a position to know on some level that this is somewhat getting in the way of the Hero properly taking care of themselves everyday and while they can talk about it with those that can speak Draconic, like Elysia, they aren't always in the best position to talk to hero themselves about it. It also doesn't help that even people like Elysia that can understand Draco can't really do much but offer a bit of words here and there because at the end of the day all of our friends have their own responsibilities to take care of and so they simply don't have proximity to get a good read on the situation nor they can always just drop everything to see how we're doing either not unless the signs of something being really wrong start to show. Taking that into consideration and its not hard to see why Draco is so frustrated with the situation we're both in as a result. But enough doom and gloom, our dragon gave us a plushie and we gave them a new hat and that is adorable! Also did we know Cysero understood Draconic? It's not surprising that he understands Draco either way, but I can't recall if there was time he just straight up understood what a dragon was saying beforehand.
