Well, thanks for the share, m8.... =/... but I think that only 1, 4, and 7 are worth something and I am not even sure about those...
4 is definitely good though

If you look closely each tag has particular techniques that can help new commers and a lot of people around.

 It's not about emulating the tag, Rain, it's about using the techniques they offer, as VampireHSS put it.

EDIT: Plus, we're aiming towards a broad audience with our resources. Some of these use more advanced techniques than others. New users of Photoshop may not understand the more complicated stuff as well.

Photoshop, however a lot of techniques provided in those tutorials can be used in Gimp.
The first tutorial can be fully followed in gimp.

every tag is better then what you have made, so don't knock it, kthx.

All theese tutorials were written for photoshop. The first one can be fully followed on gimp. Not sure about the others, though.
