Hey guys I have noticed that more than one bounty hunter are goin away from the normal defence matrix strength build. I have noticed that some are using there gamma bots more and that they are utilizing more def and res, specialy tech at very high lvls wich is needed for bot and not relying much in str or supp. They are getting tuffer and also they have evolved. What do you guys think about this. Any comments?

Yup I agree because +5 focus builds are oped. My defense bounty is seriously useless against this build. I tried str build but it seriously failed against +5 focus bh.

BHs with defense matrix?! Aside from that, you're right. I'm a BH and I once used a 6 cheap shot, focus 4 build w/ acolyte blades. and I also saw dex BHs recently. Multi-shot and stun grenade are their primary offensives

5 focus dex bh are the deadliest. rember they have max sa and high dex wat does that mean blocks more blocks and more blocks. robot block, strike block and the they gain more hp when thier robo hits ya.

^@ luna, It may seem that way luna, but from a BH view. Dex BH have high dex to actully hit opponents eg. a BH (yes BH sometimes fight BH :O) not to block, as focus BH have alot of moves which is destroted by luck. They can alos be defeated easily with alot of non bloackable powerful builds (eg. sup mages) and it may seem like they block everything but having made such a build they are realiying on luck, and we all know how messed up luck can be sometimes.

 My Defence and Resistance are quite low as my Support is high, but i have level 4 Reflex and level 5 Energy Shield to counter for that.

@remorse So are you telling me high support with high str bh build can defeat +5 focus? Since gun improves with str and aux, rb and es improves with support do you think it can ruin +5 focus build since if you got smoked you can counter it with rb?

a simple lvl 2 energy shield destroy's a mages malf.
making the gun and aux hit 10s

@Midnight striker , Yes it is possible a high str high support build can beat 5 focus builds, imagine this emp first (they usally start cause of support theirs a nice advantage) what do u know they can't RB or heal :O, then smoke then gun thn aux then mascre. seems fairly reasonabale to me?

@goldslayer, you know its not that simple supp mages usally last alot longer to most likely get a seocnd malf in or a nice rage aux, not to mention thier amazing abilaty to crit at the worst time. Im not saying 5 focus cant beat mages i know for a fact they can , im saying if you put the bulk or your stats into dex rather thn tech and sup then the points wasted on relieying on luck coulnt have been spent more afectivily on things like improving enrgy shield so they actully hit 10's

Um, I don't think BH's are changing their strategies.
There are really, if you look at it in my point of view, two sub-builds.
Strength....and 5 focus.
So, they aren't really changing their strategies, but rather, it's been like that for a long time.

Thats because Gamma bot is OPED and killing the other builds , like i said 1 day(if it continue like this in Delta) every1 will use 5 Focus.

While creative builds fighting with skill , stat and weapon requirements , 5 focus doesnt effect from anything, they dont even need to arrange stats for weapons :/

It's either me or BHs are possibly going back to the old builds at early Gamma. High Dex Stun Granade + Multi Build. If you ask me, I'd rather use a High Dex Venom Strike + Multi build.

5 focus gamma bot bhs with EMP wreck me 100% as a mage. i basically need to block them or I lose, and likelihood is im gonna get blocked myself at least once.
reroute is nice but when you lose 30+ energy it can wreck your offense/defence.

So yeah good bye balance build hello high sup and str build? I think this might work but the problem is that, its hard to balance dex and tech for bh if I'll make this build.

they set up their energy shield to cost 13 energy.
this allows them to use energy shield 4 times if they use 53 energy.

I'm confused. Is this thread about BH's changing their strategy and builds or is it just another whine thread about how BH's are OPed with Gamma Bots?

Let's get something out in the open so there is no more confusion. BH's always have used DEX to their advantage. We are the class that can best manipulate it via reflex boost and smoke screen. We are the class that benefits the most from higher DEX. Shadow Arts enhances this by giving us additional blocking % and raising stun resistance. With the exception of SA none of this is new. High tech BH's were unusual when Founders armor was popular, mainly because Founders gave +7 resistance. With the advent of competitive armors with DEF's of +8 or more, higher tech builds became not only useful but popular. Without the new armors, these builds would not be as effective.

The tank focus BH with decent support can be very effective. If you're having trouble defeating that build then add more DEX. That is the BH killer. All Gamma bot attacks, cheapshot and strike are all blockable. Do unto others as they do unto you.

 My gripe is not with any class being overpowered at the moment or the limited amount of build opportunities. It is with the RNG that seems to have changed quite a bit since Titan removed the focus from damage....

I noticed ...

We need to remove focus and agility so we can create fun builds for the new classes...
I don't use 5+ focus as a BH...I find it useless for me....I like to be creative and not boring. If i use 5+ focus i don't max the passives.. ..I put 5 Multi SHot and 7 blood 6 Shadow arts and 4 EMP and
3 Stun gren.

 I've always been a bounty who has gone on the attack. Full passive full smoke. Then they bought out shadow arts and I augmented my stats with that too. Best way to down the 'over powered' merc so many threads are dedicated to. And a gamma bot works a treat. And why not eh?

Not really. I havent been running into a lot of BH recently in 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2. I know dont why.

bhs have changed some of there builds in a way but a bh has a handy cap to. called malf from a mage and bunker blast from a merc. most bhs have now gone to a def game untill the 3rd round. bhs best weapon to stop mages and mercs is emp.. most the time if u look 3 moves ahead in the game emp stops mages and mercs.

we will see what the boys from ED do with new update and still ppl will cry about the classes being under powered.
and l hate to say but mages will cry the most.

l like bh now l was a mage for a long time remb there are 2 kinds of bhs the claw bh and the sword bh, both play the game not the same way

 Mages do have right we have been ask for loop back ever since was taken. We suck in 2vs2 were completely useless. When was last time when mage won 2vs2 badge and was at lvl cap. Last time I remember was 6 months ago.
