Valencia: Nice of you to join us, «Player»!
«You»: Sure thing. Soooo... now that I'm here, mind if I ask what's going on?
Mercuria: You don't KNOW? Valencia, you are a wily one.
Zephyros: Valencia and I pooled our knowledge and clues and finally discovered the treasure hoard of Alquemada.
Zephyros: As... distasteful as I found her proposition, the chance to finally take the last few steps here was too good to pass up. People have been crisscrossing the globe looking for it for 400 years!
«You»: Interesting. So who was this 'Alquemada' and why is his treasure so special?
Valencia: Alquemada was a prince, one of King Alteon's ancestors, who was one of the greatest THIEVES in history!
Valencia: Over 50 years, Alquemada sneakily stole small portions of his family's treasures and hid them away. He took so little at a time that no one noticed.
Valencia: He never got to become King himself, since he died before he could. Something about being 'consumed by roaches', according to the histories.
Valencia: Eventually, rumors of what Alquemada did began to float about. What made his treasure hoard legendary is that it became gigantic, one of the largest...
Valencia: ... and that because he collected the treasures over such a long period of time he managed to come across many very rare and sought-after items.
Valencia: This is potentially the MOST VALUABLE TREASURE HOARD EVER!!
«You»: And you all thought that I would be naturally inclined to want to help you steal this treasure?
Zephyros: "Steal"? Don't look at me. I'm here to catalog this and try to make sure at least SOME of what once was lost STAYS found instead of disappearing into some collector's vaults.
Valencia: Hey, a girl's gotta make a living somehow!
«You»: ................
«You»: So... VALUABLE, eh? Sure, I'm in! How do we get into the cave? The doorway looks blocked by a 20-ton rock right now.
Mercuria: Leave THAT to my fire!
«Mercuria melts the rock with her fire»
«You»: First time I've seen someone melt a giant rock door down. Nice!
Valencia: After you, «Player».
«You»: After me--? Ohhh... NOW I know why you wanted me to come along. *grumble*
«Scene: Inside the cave, filled with treasure!»
«You»: ....Pretty....
«You»: Let me just grab a piece of that gold to see if it's real...
Valencia: Wait-- Let me check for traps first--!
Zephyros: No, wait--!
«The far wall opens up, and dozens of Hoardmasters come out, led by a golden one»
Hoard Guardian: YOU TRESPASS UPON OUR MASTER ALQUEMADA'S TREASURE. YOUR LANDS ARE NOW FORFEIT, AND WILL JOIN THE REALM OF OUR KING!
«You»: What?! I never signed anything that said that! Besides, it's not technically my land! I'm still paying the mortgage!
Zephyros: Slooowwly..... sloooowwly.....
«The others slowly back out»
Zephyros: Now RUN!!
«They run»
«You»: So let me guess... We were taking the ultimate risk by going after the ultimate reward? Man, why couldn't Alquemada have just left something NICE for whoever found his treasure?
«You»: Like some flowers and a greeting card? Or cake? Everyone likes cake! Hmm... though I guess 400 year old cake or flowers wouldn't be the greatest.
Hoard Guardian: DID YOU NOT HEAR ME? YOUR LANDS WILL BE OURS!!
«You»: And did you not hear ME? You're going to have to take that up with my banker, and I'm afraid to ask for a refinancing, let alone refuse to pay, so you really should reconsider.
«You»: Besides, I have a few thousand friends who might say otherwise. We're going to ROCK you, even more than you already are rocked!

Someone has awakened the golems guarding the fabled Hoard of Alquemada by trying to steal the treasures hidden within. Whoops! But these "Hoardmaster" golems are a danger to us all: They're scouring the countryside destroying anything in their path, and conscripting all the local golems as they go! Are YOU a hero who will stand against them?

Zephyros: Not so fast. Before you start swimming in the coin, remember our agreement. Without my translations and key your map would've been useless.
Valencia: Well without my map your key would've been collecting more DUST than a dead language, just like everything else you find!
«You»: You know, I was thinking... I didn't even know who Alquemada WAS! So... How about we DONATE the treasure to our local schools?
