I hate to say this, but I'm disappointed with some weps falling into obscurity.

Take the infamous Vendzookas. I still remember when these were released, the old forums were still in use, and it was all the rage. Today, in battle, I have yet to see any Vendzooka.

I guess you could say it's because of the prices. It offers too few stats in comparison to other auxiliaries, such as the Serpent Striker, the Serpent Blaster, and other ones. It offers 5 less damage than the aforementioned auxs. The stat placement is just horrible.

But the one thing that really appealed to me was the looks. I really liked the vendzooka series, I had previously bought one, and then sold one later on. Still, I can't still shake the feeling that a great work of art went to waste.

Anyone else think the devs should introduce the next OP wep? Evolved Vendzookas?

Please input your ideas, not only about the Vendzooka thing, but about weps that are equal or more expensive than weps in the same category, but suck more.

This is what started enhancements. During the Chrstimas event I was hoping they make a Frostbane V2 or something so that players with the old frostbane could upgrade it to something usable. But they didn't, and instead of doing that, they made it a perma-rare instead of a seasonal rare. So I accidentally sold it thinking that it would be an outdated seasonal rare.
This is why I'm trying so hard to convert my remaining varium into BP points so I could turn the rest of it into something I actually would enjoy. But the dang help team don't help much and instead they give even more varium to people who claim to have lost varium and just rip them off.

As the max level increases, new weapons have to be released to satisfy higher damage. The vendzookas are good for level 30's but not great for lv 34s. Also the vendzookas are not the most easily located weapons in Delta V.

Evolved Weapons offer a sense of familiarly. For example, the "evolved" frostbane reminds me of my not so powerful frostbane. I get to feel like I'm wielding my old favorite wep, just a better version.

@Battle Elf you have a point the so called safe haven in the desert is one of the least known areas in all of Epicduel and it is also the home of the Vendzooka's

But yeah alot of really cool weapons are now for show, frostbane, azreal, bunnyzooka, they are weaker then their counter parts but some of the most technically skilled weapons we have when it comes to looks

This is why the enhancements should have been done on a level base rather than a stat base.
Then it means you pick the weapon you want and you can level it up for a price. (Keeping the same stat arrangement, just with more, of course)

I agree completely. This would solve enhancement over priced and over powered problems. Plus, you could use your favorite gear forever, even if its a level 1 item! Imagine players on the leader board with aprentice staff or basic club.

The best part about this: epicduel would still get as many buyers because the cost to upgrade your weapon would be around the cost of buying a new one anyways.

The problem: how to introduce this while not ripping off players who have already enhanced max level gear. If the coding is easy then i say just refund all players who have upgraded their weapons, remove all enhancement slots, and put in a system where all weapons get an enhancement slot for each level below your characters level.

So... why dont they make the enhancements like AQW i dont like AQW much but i like its way to enhance .... lvl 30 vendzooka enhanced to lvl 34 POWERFULL!!

according to Cindy a thought back in alpha/pre-alpha, it has been awhile since i read the comment ok, was to buy your gear then buy your power for said gear but the idea was scrapped along the way from Alpha to Delta.

Also no I cannot reference you this comment because the topic that it was in is from right when LB took over as head mod here or right before he took over so it is long deleted

Vendzooka's are shockingly amazing. All the pro's had them.

i definetly would like enhancements like they have in AQW.
they could be separate enhancement types. that make ur weapon a lvl 34 standard.
the problem is, drawing a line.
a line that means if this should be allowed with rares.
rares like founder armor which is lvl 25 and is the armor with the most stats in the game so far. would be extremely OPed at lvl 34.
unless, they dont give it any more stats at lvl 34 and maybe just 1-2 resistance.

this would make weps more usefull.
and specially let everyone choose the wep the like by looks.
like frost bane, frostbite, frostbolt and many more awesome looking items.

and if ED did consider this. i would take the time out of my days to make a spread sheet for each items lvl by lvl and how much damage and stats would advanace by, aswell as requirements according to current lvl cap gear. (for example lvl 34 weps tend to have on average 34-36 stats and 34 damage, along with a big requirement on a stat or several low requirements.

In terms of vendzookas? It's of little importance to me whether they evolve or not.
The evolution of gear is happening already. We saw what happened to the bunnyzookas and frostbane.
Although I welcome the evolution, I still miss the old feel of the art. Don't get me wrong, I love where we're heading,
artistically speaking, however I still miss some old gear.

Unfortunately, there is either two different types of players in this game: Those who live in the past and play with outdated/under powered gear
for whatever reason. These will be left behind. Option B is for deciding that it's time to move on and get the best gear available.
I wish it wasn't this way, but I suppose it is.

well this would also work for non vars who already have their items fully enhanced.
imagine a non var buying a lvl 32 frost wep (frost maul or something like that)
and lvl 35 soon comes out and a new better maul comes out.
that non var would have to buy that wep again and enhance all of it again.
with this system however.
that non var wont have to pay for enhancement again.
he can choose an item by looks.
and basically help lower the gap between vars and non vars.


NOTE:
putting separate enhancements like the ones in AQW where it makes ur wep higher lvls
would also let the old art that NW put hours into not go to waste at high lvls.
