I've noticed that when an ArchKnight posts somewhere other then their original Forum, they don't have this sign ( ), is there a reason why?

 That symbol indicates someone with forum powers, and Archknight privileges are limited to within specific forums.

The sign denotes a forum in which the person in question has Moderating power. It doesn't have to be an ArchKnight; the Knights of Order, for example, have the symbol in the AQ Bugs and AQ Game Balance Issues forums, but nowhere else.
