What do you think about factions as they are now?

What don't you like about factions right now?

I'd like to see what the community thinks about factions as a whole.



I'll answer the questions I made.



What do you think about factions as they are now? Factions are alright. It's cool that we have groups of people trying to work together to achieve something greater.

What don't you like about factions right now? Factions could be a little more organized. The Notebot does not scroll down either.

Is there anything you would like factions to have? I would love to be able as a leader, to write a message then have it boradcasted to all faction members. Just at the time of the screen where it will say, Update in 10 minutes and stuff.

Anything that could be improved? Faction competition and HQ features

Is your experience in factions good? Yes. I enjoy being in factions.

Whats the best part about factions? The people in them. (Sometimes)

Whats the worst part? The way some people run them. All these requirments. Being a member I feel like if I go on vacation for a few days I will be kicked. That's a horrible feeling to have. I hate it, and so do others.

Have you ever made a faction? I have made 37.

If you have what was the hardest part? Getting members to participate

Was it rewarding? All in all, yes I think so.

Who I think are the leading factions---
1v1-Royal Legacy and Immersion Relics
2v2-Spartan Warriors and Super Latinos
Jug-Neds, Eddeye, and HAX

What don't you like about factions right now?
Disloyalty :P

Is there anything you would like factions to have?
"Jump to player" feature

Anything that could be improved?
Flag system

Is your experience in factions good?
:D YES. I love HAX and I think we are all a family

Whats the best part about factions?
Being part of a group whos there for eachother

Whats the worst part?
Disloyalty :P

Have you ever made a faction?
Indeed I have

If you have what was the hardest part?
This past weekend with the epic was between HAX vs Eddeye

Was it rewarding?
Indeed it was, 2 jug dailys and a WD

What do you think about factions as they are now?

I think they are a little hmm, desperate for wins but some factions like HAX or my own (The chosen legends) seem to treat their members as family

What don't you like about factions right now?

What i just said, their thirst for wins

Is there anything you would like factions to have?

Jump to player function

Anything that could be improved?

Yes, the notebot system, i like to be able to make some messages undeletable and the scroll function

Is your experience in factions good?

Nope, ive had the worst, but my newly made faction seems to be giving me everything i ever wanted


Whats the best part about factions?

A sense of family and having a home

Whats the worst part?

Disloyalty


Have you ever made a faction?

Yes, got it to level 7 and then got tricked out of it to join some other guys faction....

If you have what was the hardest part?

Finding time to get on for dailies

Was it rewarding?


At the moment yes, it lets you know many people

What do you think about factions as they are now?

well i been in a few faction so i think there are 4 types of faction. 1) crazy for wins faction(something like the 1st dixie chicks there was a daily 2v2 requirement) 2)semi-crazy for win factions(well these factions go for medals on certain days and player in the faction must do a certain number of wins during the day) 3) chill faction (basically u just log in chat with faction mates,do some npc and log out) 4) teaching faction( a faction dedicated to teaching noobs)

What don't you like about factions right now?

well the 2v2 faction scene. Y because if u see a faction mate on the other side 2 things come into your mind 1) should i dc 2) should i ask faction mate to dc. it is unfair and frustrating for other players caught in the cross fire. losing a partner in 2v2 is well annoying. imho faction mates should not be able to battle each other.

Is there anything you would like factions to have?

yes. a feature which does not allow faction mates to battle each other in 2v2/1v1.

Anything that could be improved?

the flag system. it is boring and basically not many factions care about flags

Is your experience in factions good?

as i said i have experienced 4 types of faction. i liked being in a win crazy 2v2 faction it fun when it lasted. just do not like the fact that all the influence gained in a faction before the influence system was made was not recorded. but yeah all in all i had a good time in factions.

Whats the best part about factions?

friends,chatting with faction mates

Whats the worst part?

Disloyalty,faction jumpers (jump jump jump)

Have you ever made a faction?

yes. on my alt XD using credits and it is still there but very very inactive

If you have what was the hardest part?

well my faction was just there to teach noob i recruited low lvls and gave them tips on how to npc ect ect. hard part bout that is low lvls sometimes do not understand and do follow the tips u gave them

Was it rewarding?

oh yes some noobs became better and it felt gr8 helping them.

What do you think about factions as they are now?
Factions are ok,but from the last few that I've been in some of the leaders could be a bit more focused.

What don't you like about factions right now?
When members are inactive for long periods of time.

Is there anything you would like factions to have?
Something along the lines of faction tournaments apart from the Legion vs Exile influence data that really serves no function IMO.(Think I'll post in the suggestions section to further explain)

Anything that could be improved?
Not anything that comes to mind really.

Is your experience in factions good?
Yeah, I always like to fight to help out.

Whats the best part about factions?

A group of people fighting for a specific cause.

They are pretty much meaningless. A faction that is level 1 is equal to a grand champion faction. Being in a faction do not add any perks to a player (except the 2 small cheevos that can be obtained).

What don't you like about factions right now?
See above. Why no scroll bar on the faction boards ?? Where is the revamp promised ?

Is there anything you would like factions to have?
See above.

Anything that could be improved?
See above

Is your experience in factions good?
I had fun fighting for the 2 cheevos, fired a couple canons. Thats it

Whats the best part about factions?
Bragging rights maybe ? The fact that you can be closer to your friends.

Whats the worst part?
Crazy requirements.

Have you ever made a faction?
Yes

If you have what was the hardest part?
Paying the varium to make it.

Was it rewarding?
In terms of game play, no. But of course I made friends and had fun for a while.

A bit boring. They need something to make them more rewarding and entertaining.
What don't you like about factions right now?
Flag system, lack of benefits for older factions, lack of value for factions.
Is there anything you would like factions to have?
Faction wars/raids, a way to jump to other members, HQ decorating options.
Anything that could be improved?
Yes. ;)
Is your experience in factions good?
Yes.
Whats the best part about factions?
Social interaction.
Whats the worst part?
Stagnation.

Yes.
If you have what was the hardest part?
Keeping members active/finding active members.
Was it rewarding?
Not really, no. It was rather depressing after a few months.

What do you think about factions as they are now? dont really know, haven't played in a couple months.

What don't you like about factions right now? i like how they changed the wins to influence in the player meter (dont mistake this for the faction influence, its not that one), so that it accounts for 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, and juggernaut wins as a whole. however there should still be a way to track wins for factions who want to see how active a player was.

Is there anything you would like factions to have? many things, for starters, more rewards based on faction lvl. as of right now, a lvl 1 faction is the same as a lvl 13 Duel Masters faction in terms of rewards for putting time into the faction.

Anything that could be improved? the one above. the WD system, it should have never been changed from the one in beta where 2 factions, 1 from exile and 1 from legion, received WD. instead, it should have been called Alignment Domination.

Is your experience in factions good? yes, with factions it was good, sometimes bad, but for the most part good. i think the bigger issue is how others look at you for being in a certain factions.

Whats the best part about factions? a group of friends striving for more and more success.

Whats the worst part? disloyalty, inactive mems, hatred from other factions/players

Have you ever made a faction? yes, it was called "The Legion" i made it back in beta a couple hours after ED merged with AE.
altho i wasn't the leader, i guess u could also say i made "Control Alt Death" since i was a founder, and co leader since its birth.

If you have what was the hardest part? for The Legion, it was recruiting, most active members went to factions like Legit, TSAAS, and i know there were more active factions (in 2 vs 2 theres was one called something horses, and i believe dixies were around during that time aswell). the most i could rely on in terms of being active were friends from AQW that hopped over to play ED.

in CAD, well im not sure if it was very hard, but my part was doing the strategy stuff (dailies, flags, future, etc), pulling in the numbers for whatever, and making builds for members that needed them.

Was it rewarding? in terms of ingame things? not even close. but i did have fun with my friends and faction mates.
if ur asking in terms of dailies/flags/WDs then i guess it probably was.

Boring, I dont feel connected with any of the members of any factions, factions dont have any war or something like other games and for me they are very boring.

What don't you like about factions right now?

There is a max. amount of members at any faction level
There is nothing exciting about it, only an achievement you can get

Is there anything you would like factions to have?

yes: faction war, faction features like the house items can be used in factions, faction meetings, faction chat

Anything that could be improved?

What was said above

Is your experience in factions good?

No, they dont have a point in anything, I dont feel any connection or feeling that I feel very proud to be in a faction or something like other games

Whats the best part about factions?

You can chat with each member if theyre online

Whats the worst part?

Its boring cause there are no exciting features

Have you ever made a faction?

Yes, I got bored when it was lvl 7 and deleted it

I'll Keep This Short, As MrBones Summed It Up Perfectly.

I Have Been Harping On This For Over Two Years. The Lack Of Factions Having Any "Value". What Is The Point Of Leveling A Faction When A Level 1 Faction Has The Same In Game Features As A Level 12 Faction?

The Staff Has Promised Faction Improvements Since The Start Of Beta, Almost 3 Years Ago, With Little To No Actual Improvements. Broken Promises... Shocker.

In Another Popular Online Game, Factions (Guilds) Actually Have Value And Purpose. A Higher Level Faction (Guilds) Would Benefit It's Players By Giving Them More "Perks" Than Lower Level Factions (Guilds).

Small Experience And Credit (Gold) Gains, Like 5%-10% Higher Than Normal As Your Faction (Guild) Reaches Top Levels.

Also, Faction Banks And Rare Items Obtainable Only In The Highest Ranked Factions (Guilds).

Ranking Faction Cheevos, Would Have Been Nice, As An Alternative Incentive, Which I Have Suggested Multiple Times.

These Are Simple, Fun And REWARDING Benefits For Both Faction Founders And Loyal Players Who Helped Build The Faction To High Levels.

Yet, Here We Are... 3 Years Later... And Still No Faction Improvements, No Faction Level Value And Complete SILENCE From The Majority Of The Staff Regarding These Long Time Issues.
