this game is based too much on luck !!! 3 crits in a row on a noob and i get blocked by someone with 6-8 defense twice -.-. Also omega will be such a bad phase.. with the lowering of stats, this will not affect low levels at all but the higher levels. for example.. in jugg all the level 35's rely on the high defense but now we can't get it through enhancements, we are eff'ed.

1. What does noob have to do with it? Higher Support does NOT mean they will not Crit at all. And vice versa.
2. Higher Dex does NOT mean they will not block at all. And vice versa.
3. Read Staff's posts. They WILL adjust Juggernaut if there will be a need. It was said few times already in past week.
4. If you paid attention a bit more, you'd notice that they are changing formulae and everything is being re-build from scratch. Stats are getting overhaul (all of them) so they will work differently and less luck-based.
5. RNG is crucial part of the game. It's involved in every game. Probability = luck so if you hate that luck, get rid of it by making things 0% or 100%. Then you'll see HP and Str abuse for highest damage and survival & BMs + BHs being at the top since damage goes to HP. >.>

Nobody said get rid of luck altogether, I believe the OP is saying that the effect of Luck on the outcome of a battle is far too great. In the present, if two equally skilled players go up against eachother, with the same exact build, stats etc. the person who goes first, or the person who gets the luckiest will win. That should not be the case. Luck should supplement skill, but should never override skill which is what has occurred in many battles in the last couple of years. "The luckier the player, the more likely they will win", where it should be "the more skilled the player, the more likely they will win." Its really not that hard of a concept to get, all you have to do is think a little.

The amount of lucks rates itself wont change much, however with less overall stat in omega it means turns will be less attack heavy meaning the requirement for huge damage each turn will be less which means if you block or crit it will have less of a impact on the outcome of the battle.

I find it funny that everyone 9/10 talks about when chance works against them yet never remember when it works fort them. That is how chance works as trans said just because you have more of a stat doesn't grantee the effect that stat will bring.

But as the others have said just wait until omega comes and we will see the changes.

I believe that over time, EpicDuel's gameplay will shift from RNG events to user-determined events.

With most weapon specials increasing luck influence.

As well as some robots promoting luck.

I hope however the release more anti luck weapon specials like the connectivity special.

People are complaining about that one as well.

Also the only bot that works truly with luck is the pyro fly since it ability shuts down a random skill. Staff themselves even said making it anti luck as you call it would overpower the bot since everyone would just choose the one move that would shut down a person's plan on purpose. I remember cyber hunters complaining about the bot because it could take out their static by chance. Image if it could be done purposely all the choas it would cause, or BH massacre getting taking out on purpose?

But on another note until strength and OP builds get a good enough nerf lowering the RNG as trizz stated would only help those builds that are damage output monsters (AKA strength and other OP builds) and sorry to say this but that kind of build involves little to no skill.

The pyro fly is completely brocken IMO.


I dont understand why a balance team could of allowed that to be released...


It needs to be changed or removed, (Those effected refunded of coarse)



How about change the pyro fly so that you can choose the skill but instead of stopping that skill for the whole game, it is put into cool down for say 2-3 turns.

The problem with the current skills and luck is that they would appear to agree. Critical skills are heavy on critical strike, melee skills are heavy on a damage to block chance ratio. All attack skills are positively critical but nothing negatively balancing like a block or deflect chance. No skills truly work against each other. Yes, Defense Matrix and Reflex Boost reduce anything Physical including skills, but will never cancel each other out. This is the problem with skills. They use a large amount of energy out of the total energy, and because of that we expect them to burst a large effect in a short period of time yet will not actually invoke strategy with other skills. Exceptions include defence skills combined with attack skills.

but yeah i agree, luck is simply taking too much affect.
1 crit will cut 1/3 to 1/2 of ur total HP in a single turn these days.

i hope that changes in omega.

Luck is too much. I lost to Matt 1000 because his Bludgeon did 48 Critical on me.

I hate Strength Builds since they always go first against me even if they have less Support than me.
I lost once today since this Strength Blood Mage went first, blocked twice, deflected and did a Critical damage on his rage with his Bludgeon. Surely I think I should have a high chance to block, deflect but I don't.

Yesterday, I got 215 wins in a row. In those Battles, I barely deflected anyone or blocked. A lot of the time, I went last.
This game is too much on luck and I hope that it changes. I even think that your Internet speed decides on who goes first. I went to a Cyber-Cafe and the speed of the Internet there is faster than my one at home. I kept going first even if I had lower Support.

@Nexus... You said what I thought of the Builds. It depends on who goes first. A simple block or Critical damage will most likely ruin the chances of you winning. Deflection doesn't matter that much sometimes.

All together, I think Juggernaut Battles will not be as fun as it is right now. I want to see lower Leveled players as opponents since Enhancements are gone. One thing I'll hate is that if lower Leveled players are your opponents, they won't have much experience on how to battle as a team. There won't even be a lot of players who you can get. I have to wait 30 - 45 seconds or even more to get into a Juggernaut Battle.

I understand that the Battle Engine got destroyed and rebuilt but is that going to make the game better or worse?

same, i been having luck issues aswell.
despite having more dex, tech, and support than most of my opponents, i still get blocked, deflected, and critted on more.

i thank ED for TLM, probably the only class that can deal with big factors like this and still have a shot at winning.

the build is pretty good, and similar to an old tactical TLM build i had for countering luck problems in early delta.
so far, i haven't lost to a single str bh and mass CH, and only lost to focus BMs about 4-5 times.

If you think this is bad, just wait for Omega. No more npcs, imagine how mad the players are going to be once they start losing to luck 15 times in a row? I proposed the removal of losses and no one wanted that apparently.

What does NPC have to do with luck? Also with the removal of NPC for wins as well as being unlimted people can take their stress out of these characters and earn unlimited credits without issue which I see as a good thing.

@ remorse

Thank goodness that idea was never done. Your idea for an anti luck solution would kill the game close to a level when the infernal android was first released. It would make ultimates worthless especially in 1 vs 1, and would destroy battle plans as well as be overly abused. But if you feel the idea is a good one you can post it in the suggestion/balance part of the site but as of right now people barely use the pyro fly for the soul purpose that it is just that luck based.

NPCs helped u deal with the luck problems.

having too much bad luck? take a break and wait for the next NPCs. (its even a "Did You Know?" suggestion ingame.

lol, why do people complain about jugs? last time I checked it was the easiest out of all of the modes. Although if the don't fix the luck factor I see a lot of people rage quiting within a week of omega no matter how good it is.

Remember me before you challenged me earlier? I broke my computer's keyboard after I smacked it for losing cause of fluke. Now I am on my sister's iPad.

I don't like the new feature of the battle record of challenging NPCs not counting. There was a simple reason for this... "You can challenge NPCs unlimited times to farm for Credits."
If I lose a number of times, I challenge NPCs or sometimes, I Brainwash to get 15 wins. Now, I have nothing to take my stress out on. I won't even challenge NPCs since they won't be much use. I might just take a walk outside and comeback after 15 minutes.

i stayed up all night for jugg ( in australia) today, i was coming 2nd, 5 wins behind first. Lost 6 in a row due to ridiculous amounts of blocks and crits. I rage quit now, never spending a single cent on this game again.

It's been 3 years since this game was released and the luck factors have not been fixed or improved in anyway. Removing losses is the only way to remedy this situation. Once that happens the people will complain less about losing because it is no longer reflected onto their ratios.
