The BugMaster General Needs YOU!

Stratos, the BugMaster General, writes: Bug Hunters... unite!

OUR MISSION: To confirm every bug, mistake, glitch, hack, typo, and error in Oversoul that other players report at Artix.com/Bugs! NOTE: We are Bug Hunters... not player support! We do not fix bugs other players' characters, accounts, or upgrades.



"The bigger the bug, the more satisfying the squish!"

If the line up there makes your fingers itch to grab a mallet and squash something, then keep reading, because you're just what Stratos is looking for! Read on for more details:

1. The languages you speak/write
2. A couple sentences about how long you've played OS, and why you want to help squish bugs.

Here are Stratos' requirements for joining the Bug Hunter crew:

1. You need to have Skype installed. This will let him contact you directly about any of the bugs you've encountered.

2. You must be age 13 or older to join the crew, but 18+ is preferred (as we can give you more responsibilities once you've gained experience)

3. Help when you can. We don't have set times for our Bug Hunters to be available, but we would like you to be available to help regularly.

4. Must be able to follow directions... and ask questions! Stratos has a system set up, but if there's something you don't understand, ASK! He wants to help you squish the bugs as much as you want to squish them!

5. Good critical thinking skills are a plus. (Being able to see a problem and narrow down the source or reason can speed the fixing process up.)

Note: please don't post your age, email address, or Skype account on the forum. We don't need to know that in this thread!

So... What Now? How do I Start Squashing?

Stratos will contact you directly if you look like a good fit for this task. It won't always (or even often) be fun. You'll read reports, play AOversoul until it breaks, then go do paperwork. But you WILL be helping the OS dev team improve the game!

Reading reports and duplicating bugs over and over again not for you? That's OK! But DO we need EVERYONE's help reporting the bugs! We can't fix OS unless we know there are bugs... and that's where YOU come in!

Hello! The name is Beck.
I speak and write mainly in English, and I would love to be a part of the Bug Hunter team for Oversoul!
I've been playing Oversoul since Alpha, around late September, and I've done a few bug reports before. This is my favorite AE game, and I'd love to be a part of the team that helps the game develop smoothly.
Plus, you know, it would make an awesome pun xD I'm Beck the Beetle, Bug Hunter!

2) I've played Oversoul since Alpha, and I really liked the concept. Since then I've become slightly more involved with the community, and I just want to help! In any way I can. I also work on the wikidot.

Just like the AQW one eh? Sounds like the kinda work I can do!

1.) I speak/read English, French, and Chinese.
2.) I've been playing OS since the day it was available (Stress testing). OverSoul is probably one of my favorite MMOs to date and I really want to see it succeed. Bugs will always be prevalent in a games and programs but I want to be able to do my part to help OS be the best that it can be.

1. My main language is English and I know basics of Tagalog which is my native Filipino language. I know bits and pieces of Hiragana and Katakana in terms of Japanese writing.

2. I've played OS since the second stress test was released, through Alpha to finally the Beta Stage, and up to today. I want to help OS squish bugs because I have seen annoying glitches in-game that would be rather annoying or game breaking in terms of slowing down Oversoul's performance.

2. After playing other AE games for years, I joined Oversoul since the first open stress test and it quickly became my new main AE game. I love it so far, and want to do everything I can to help it progress even further. I've made bug reports before, and always try to find the cause or trigger of glitches before I report them.

Requirements

Check. I'm available to help most weekdays.

Check. I do my best to follow directions, but if I ever get lost and need help I know when to ask for it.
5. Good critical thinking skills are a plus. (Being able to see a problem and narrow down the source or reason can speed the fixing process up.)
Check. As I've said, I have always tried to pinpoint what triggers bugs before reporting them.

2:I have been playing OS ever since the first day of beta and have been enjoying it since. The community is nice and friendly at least most of the people iv met. I would like to help because a: make the game more enjoyable for others
b:help the staff
c: Its my second best AE game and i would love to help it in any way i can.

1)Anyways, I speak English/Chinese, but I can't read it. However if you break it up into their separate individual.... Hell with it, other chinese speakers would know what I'm talking about, but if you break it down into pin-ying I'll be able to understand what you're trying to tell me in chinese. But if we're talking about, well, talking, I speak both English and Chinese fluently.

2) Been around during Alpha Testing. I want to help squish bugs because... I like to help.


Requirements Met:

2. 13+

4. I'm good at following directions as long as they make sense, if you ask me to jump off a bridge I'll begin to question authority. But really, my ability to process directions is pretty good.

5. If you count liking to think around the corners, being quick puzzle solver, and being able to solve a Rubix Cube being good at critical thinking, then I probably fall under this category.

Requirements Not Met:

1. This might be a hard one, I'll see if I can figure out a way to convince my parents to install Skype.

3. I'm readily available at all hours except for 9AM - 4PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and from 9AM - 3PM on Wednesday. And even then I'm only available for exactly one hour unless I can convince my parents otherwise.

1. Fluent in English and Spanish, decent at Portuguese.

2. I have been playing OS since early Alpha testing. I want to help find bugs because I love Oversoul and want to contribute as much as possible, as seen in my tutorial videos and wiki administrating (unofficial wiki). Bugs set the game back, and I don't want that to happen. I just enjoy helping in general, and this'd be a great way, in my eyes, to contribute.

Requirements

I should be online most hours of the day- minus the next couple of weeks due to private circumastances. Ever onward, I'll be free 20 hours out of 24.

I'd never neglect directions. They're necessary, as are asking questions.

I do tend to be good at this.

2. I've been playing since the first stress test and I always wanted to be involved with how the game grows. I want to lend my hand in helping making Oversoul as bug free as possible. I want to help make the game run as smoothly for everybody else so they can enjoy their oversoul experience to the fullest.

Requirements

1. I have skype installed

2. I'm 18 years old.

3. for most of summer, I'm online from 10pm-2pm server time

4. I can handle following orders pretty well.

5. I have a brother who works in the anti-virus industry (trend micro specifically) and I can get him to teach me how to be more aware and critical when it comes to dealing with bugs and irregular coding behaviour.

1. I speak English and I am currently reaching proficiency in Spanish.
2. I just recently started to play OS, about two or so weeks of playing. However, I have been working in the OS Bugs forums with the Aks in the attempt to clean it up, which just recently happened. I am also working in the official wiki and I'll be (hopefully) contributing much more in the coming weeks. Bugs aren't fun for anyone and regardless of whether or not I'm on the team I'll still attempt to find, report, and duplicate bugs as I have done in the past.

As far as the requirements go, I have Skype, am 18+, my entire summer will be open for helping out as well as when I head back to college, Stratos and I have worked together in the past, and I hope I have great critical thinking skills or else some of my professors would be very upset ^^

 I speak and write English without a problem, and have been learning German for roughly 5 years. I'm no professional, however understand the syntax of the language and am able to write, speak and translate it into English and vice versa.

I have been playing OverSoul since 11/10/1012.

I have limited experience from other games in regards to bug squishing, which is more than likely to prove useful along with the experience. It is part of my responsibility to ensure that [this] forum is kept in a manor which is suitable for our members, and I do not see why in-game should be any different. Finding and squashing bugs is a fun challenge and has rewarding consequences for the greater community. As a daily OS player, I know for my self how frustrating the bugs which I encounter (daily!) can be and of course it doesn't happen to just me.

 Sounds nice! I've already contributed to the AQWorlds community, so now it's OverSoul's turn! =p

  • I'm fluent in Arabic, Afghan, as well as English.
  • I've been with OverSoul since the very beginning and I've experienced how it's evolved
    into such an amazing game. Why not make it even more amazing and get rid of those
    pesky bugs!

    		 Languages English and Spanish both can be spoken and written well.
    Understand little Japanese but cannot write it.

    I likes Os because of another game AE created and made this games are like puzzles to me another thing I already identify bugs but forget to report them maybe now working in team will allow me to focus more on the bugs and glitches of the game and have that as top priority.

    2. I am a huge fan of EpicDuel, so loving Oversoul is easy. I've been playing OS since the day it was released. I sometimes just spend hours looking for bugs and loops around certain things in the game, just to report them. Getting this position will make my reports quickly acknowledged which will help make this game bug-free. ^_^

    Following directions is a fundamental skill I have developed, ignoring my rebellious ideologies . I'm also not shy to express my thoughts or anything of concern, so if you pick moi, be prepared for a lot of questions. :P

    I actually took a course all about critical thinking; really opened my mind.

    2. I had played Oversoul ever since Alpha test begin though I could actually joined in the stress test but due to different timeline. Anyway, back to where I stop. I want to squish bugs because I LOVE Oversoul as its a unique game and it is the game which makes my wish come true! Its a game where I can catch every different characters and use/play them in the game! Not to mention it is also a card game! I would love to help in anyway I can to make OS a successful game without being buggy. I will also be very glad to report any bug I report and ensure it will be fix by Warlic.

    Its okay if I can't become OS Bug hunter because I will be having a busy schedule ahead so I will still be glad to report any bug in the glitch thread. It doesn't matter even if you are not a bug hunter so long as you still act like one by reporting any bug you encountered in the bug thread.

    2. A couple sentences about how long you've played OS, and why you want to help squish bugs. I play OverSoul since 9/14/2012, and i really enjoy playing it. OverSoul is an unique game, and for a short period of time, OverSoul outstrip number of HeroSmash players. I would really love to become Bug Hunter for OverSoul, because i go to High School for software and programming, and Bug Hunting is my proffesion! I have a lot time in my hands, and i can concentrate on my "Job". I am reliable and hardworking, and you can trust me! When i do some job, i do it right!

    All other requirements are satisfactory

    		1.) I can write/speak Spanish fluently as well with English language. Also I also understand Portuguese since it is related to Spanish.
    2.)I have been playing since the start of OS in Alpha Phase and I played in the Stress Test too. I normally get some weird bugs and being able to report them to an admin, developer or someone who can check and fix it would be helpful in this case. I want to help OS since it has potential and being able to make the game-play better for others so they can enjoy the game to its max potential would make me happy. Some players can't get on daily so making their few time in OS successful, would be a great improvement to the game itself. I have always wanted to help a game in its developing but due to age requirement, I haven't been able to apply but I would be happy to find bugs features and other type of improvements which may have bugs which reduce their efficiency.

    I usually read books and do analyzing tests about them so tracking a bug may differ but I should be able to deduce with time what's causing it. Done

    2. I have been playing OS since I heard of it (Early Alpha) I quickly fell in love with the game and it even made me stop playing AQ. I've always been annoyed at the many bugs haunting the game and I'm ready to do something more than just complain about it in the forums!

    I can only speak/write/read english, but I've played Oversoul since Beta, and although I didn't originally fully appreciate it, it has now become my favourite AE game.
    And because it's my favourite AE game, I really want to help make it even better and better.
    I have skype, and I meet the age requirements, and being a uni student, whilst at times things do get hectic, I still get plenty of free time to do my own stuff (i.e. procrastinate assignments by playing games)

    I have very good critical thinking/problem solving skills, and am very good at following directions.

    I read/write/type/speak perfect English but no other language...

    I've played OverSoul since September 14th and It has been one of my two favorite AE games besides AQWorlds.
    I help on the OSwiki and AQWwiki because I like the satisfaction of helping someone, making there play time more enjoyable, that's probably the main reason I want to be a bug hunter.
    I fit every requirement listed in the Design Notes post, I meet the Age Requirement, I have skype downloaded and know my way around it easily, I'm on a lot so if you need to contact me, I'm almost always on both skype and AQW at the same time, I like to think I have excellent grammar skills, I would say I'm good at critical thinking. :P
    In my spare time I like to PvP. I noticed a lot of bugs in my free time and report them. I know a lot of bugs that I don't know exactly how to report them and I have a few suggestions on the OS Reporting Template that could be...Tweaked, And I have a feeling that I can really help.
    I'm genuinely a patient person so I can withstand doing Paperwork, Testing bugs, and things of that nature, and I would love nothing more then to help the
    OS Community and Staff by being a Bug Hunter. Thanks for Reading!
