A third alignment would solve a lot of problems, and especially, the conflict about the both alignments Exile and Legion, with a 3rd alignment, there will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, instead of Winner/ Loser, with that, for example, if an alignment takes the 3rd place, it will work harder to climb to the second place next time and so on, there will be more diversity and open-wide story line, maybe this alignment will start weak, but if the devs put something special in it, i'm sure many players will join it.
I hope Devs consider this suggestion as one of the many ways to solve this childish conflict between the two alignments... because whenever an alignment loses they directly relate it to the devs, like they rigged it or something else, I'm not sure if the devs rigged the war or not, but I'm sure this will cause a lot frustration in the minds of players...

I would like to hear the feedback of other players, and maybe more improved ways to solve this problem, and make the war an occasion to break the routine in ED and make it more joyable, more than an occasion for making the players more frustrated from the game..

I like this idea, I'd imagine the alignment logo being either yellow, green or maybe even purple.

I think it should be the ex-government. Maybe call it Recurrers? (Bad at names)

Exile hates them because they hate government, they hate Legion for taking their place. Legion hates them because of some event in the past I could make up.

The ideal faction I am looking for is one that is not interested in petty ideals. The faction would be as follows:

•do not consider themselves as a faction neither do they enforce a people's government, so the Legion considers them to be a threat

•values the will and rights of all people while not being violent, so Exile hates their guts

•prefers technological advancement to political stigma, which is perceived as threatening to Legion and Exile alike

•live outside of the main continent, which makes them foreign


Ideally, a futuristic population that severely outclasses both the leadership of Exile and Legion. This might just add a nice twist to the main plotline. I am disheartened by having to side with Exile or Legion every second.

Very interesting idea, and I would like to see it implemented. It would be rather similar to the MechQuest House system with WolfBlade, RuneHawk and Mystraven.

All that I'm afraid of is that this idea should have been implemented much earlier. If it was to be released now, there are 2 possible scenarios:

1) No one joins this alignment because of several reasons (expensive switching-cost, only new players can join, people are afraid to lose their current influence, etc)
2) Many, many people join, leaving the older alignments Exile and Legion way behind in terms of numbers. As you know, the flavour-of-the-month trend is quite influential in ED.

Essentially a nerf to the war weapons since your chance of them being useful gets lowered from 50% -> 33%

And seeing as they are god awfully expensive, a nerf would cause ruckus.

Q...Q: Where does neutral stand when Exile fights for freedom and Legion fights for order?

 That's not what neutral means. Neutral means you don't side with anyone for your own reasons, rather than fighting for nothing, no beliefs, etc.

No beliefs, no nothing? That's like you are doing things for no reason what-soever.

I do like this idea of a Faction that is neutral. There are NPC's out there who are neutral but why can't we be neutral? Some people may not even like what the Legion or Exile wish.

Problems I see with this is an uneven battle during wars. If there's a handicap, then it won't be much fun. EpicDuel doesn't have active players as it did in the past and this will just make the numbers in the Factions less.

Perhaps the third alignment can be like a Socialist or Communist (kinda, not really) type of alignment. Something in-between democracy (Exile) or having a dictator (Legion).

Or we can have it like a holy order or whatever where these guys try to stop the war for their religion/beliefs.

I extremely do not recommend introducing religion-based content into EpicDuel. Not because I am not religious, but because of the damage it would do to our community and AE's reputation. And you do not have to believe me, but heed the information: religions are not known for preventing war.

We should stop this religious discussion as it would lead to conflict.

I think you should be able to e a neutral faction
As 4 achievements here's my idea
Lets say it's the infernal war.
Exile just broke through the final vault
They got an 2500 rating achievement
While legion I believe got 950 (not sure)
The neutral faction gets an achievement
between 2500 and 950 rating points
Just a suggestion could be any amount of rating points

A very fascinating idea though. Making a third alignment should be very useful across Delta V. But yeah would like to remind make it as a neutral alignment,neither good nor bad. And make it permanent ,who so ever joins that alignment will be like joining exile or legion no discounts or anything else in changing alignment later.
And for the timing of inserting a new alignment can be after this war , say like an alien who just came after a battle between two people .

This idea is interesting. I support this! But this'll be hard for others since it's still new to players. Hope they implement this after the war so that this 3rd alignment can prepare for next year's war and have time to grow stronger.

Neutral Alignment which battles both Exile and Legion...

Will always insta-Neutral if an AE game gets one :P
