Battle Gems is now available on the Google Play store, for Android devices. It is free to install and play. Be sure to rate your game 5-stars and give it lots of love. While it is possible to play the entire game to the end without ever paying anything, please support us by upgrading to "FOUNDER." We definately went overboard with Founder perks which include: Unlimited turns, a Skeleton key that unlocks all zones, and the Dragon Knight armor and weapon set-- which unlocks a matching golden Dragon Knight armor and weapon set in our web based MMO, AdventureQuest Worlds.The android release of the game was our biggest, best, and most bug free release of any game yet-- but like any time you suddenly go from less than a hundred testers to tens of thousands of players, you find strange and unexpected things happen. So the team's current focus is bug squishing -- please help us if you can by reporting anything that happens, and include your device version and as many details as possible. Zhoom, Warlic & Rolith



Known Bugs...SQUISHY TIME :-)
The team is currently focusing on the top two bugs.


  • Gems not showing
    The gems are invisible on certain Android devices do to a GPU Pixel Shader issue. We do not have a device here at the lab getting this specific error, so we are calling our friend who works at a T-Mobile store to load BattleGems on devices until we find one that we can replicate it on. Then we will rewrite the pixel shader until we find specifically what the issue is.


  • Progress Reset!?
    This is a rare issue, but some users are losing their progress when returning to the game. Tracking this down has been difficult due to lack of details-- if you have this issue, please write us absolutely every detail you can about what you were doing before it happened. What places did you go, what things were you clicking on, did you see the progress saving spinner, etc.

Oooh finely got the game. lol I have reached lvl 20 in one go. Though I gotta say how I ended up with -22 energy is beyond me lol... So I am stuck waiting for my energy to rebuild as I have to ask the money maker of the house if I can buy a founder pack as this game is addictive... Founder is a permanent thing right not just a temp?

Also I find the app a lot more fun then I did that version in AQW that we were able to play which in truth gave a bad view of the game actually. The full version tons better.

Is a Kindle version of Battle Gems being worked on? Trying to use the Google Play store is a no go, because the Google Play App isn't on Kindles, so it doesn't let you download anything from the Google Play store.

So, excluding powerups, the game is different from AE's PvP right?

^ Well, it's got a chain/quest atmosphere going on, far more interesting enemies, and punny word balloons and cutscenes.

But the basic game mechanic is pretty much the same.

I should mention, though, that it's a MUCH better feel to select the icons by dragging your finger on a touchscreen than doing it with the mouse.

I guess that pretty much makes this null then.

The lack of quests chains and more enemies is kinda understandable since they didn't really focus on PvP.

Haven't played BG, but I did play PvP before. So I'm gonna guess it's addicting like PvP too.

 So I have finally caved after being part of AE for so long and bought my first founder package. Im glad I did because I would hate to have to wait for energy to refill when I'm playing this in school, after I have finished all of my work of course

It tells me I need to download 60MB of game content and when I click on download nothing happens. -_-

Edit: Reinstalled and installed again and same problem. "Battle gems isn't responding."
Also there is nothing wrong with my phone

I'm having the same problem as Kay Oh and I'm running Android 4.3 on a Sony Xperia Z1s and it's brand new.

Having the same issue

My nexus 7 (Android 4.4.2) is on v1.0.4.2 and i can load it and play perfectly fine

My nexus 5 (Android 4.4.2) is on v1.0.4.5 and when i load it it tells me "The game needs to download 60mb of game content. It's recommanded to use WIFI connection."

First attempt of downloading yielded an error "Files do not exist"

Second attempt gave me a successful download but nothing happened.

Third and any other temp now just does nothing.

V.1.0.4.6 has been released, im downloading it now

V.1.0.4.6 Works perfectly fine. Just download/update your game and you should be good to go

 Runs okay, if slightly crash-prone on my Xperia J, which might be partially the fault of Android 4.1 (Sadly the Xperia J line got no support for newer versions, else I would update in a heartbeat).

I like what I've seen so far. The puns, oh sweet Lorithia, the puns... I'll do a more thorough playtest tomorrow when my phone is fully loaded.

 No problem on the S III of mine.

Really nice so far, full energy refill for money is understandable and since every item is attainable there's no pay-to-win scenario.

And those puns and references. XD

Seems there arent any plans to port to Kindle/Fire OS

Not sure if this is an issue on my side, or if its a bug in the game, but I seem to be unable to actually share the "photo op"s from the boss/PvP fights. Is anyone else experiencing this?

@regz: Progression to new areas. You need 3. You can wait 8 hours for 1 (24 hours total), ask for keys on Facebook, buy them individually (not sure on this option), or buy the Founder Pack for the included Skeleton Key.

 I got to Level 60 in two hours, is that a bad thing? :P

I'm enjoying it so far, the dialogue is nice and light-hearted, although the puns do become a bit much after awhile XD

 Until now, then only AE game I was really interested in was DF, but I have to say, Battle gems is pretty darn awesome. I like how its a combination of your turn based AE game as well as your classic bejewled.

THANKS AE FOR MAKING SUCH AN AWESOME GAME FOR ANDROID! I've always wanted an AE game for phone =D

 This game is so much fun! ^^

Downloaded it as quickly I found out it was available for andorids and bought Founder status the second after. Been playing it since then alittle, I'm about level ~80 atm and I gotta say. It's way better than I expected!
All the terrible funny puns, all the action, all the nice artwork *It's flat out AMAZING. Way better than expected aswell*

One thing that I felt was kind of annoying was all the multiple quests. I mean, sure doing the same quest about 5 times is fine once or twice at once then back to a regular single or double quest, it's variation.. but the undead part with lots of 5, 6, 7 and even 14 requierment quests was just too dragged out and the smile shield made it slower than it could've been. It might be concidered more challanging, but doing the same thing over and over that many times made me alittle bored.
The slime shield is a nice touch though, not saying it was terrible, just shows that the staff has really put in their soul in making the game with ideas even if much of it already excists in the other games :P

Anyway, I still have a lot to experience since the game is just HUUUUGE. Also way bigger than I expected!

I'll give it 9/10 so far. So much fun, so much joy, so much variation, so awesome!

I bought the founder package and installed it into my brother in laws ipad back when it came out. can I login with my founder package and FC account on my android tablet?? or do I have to buy a new founder package to play my account?
