Title says it all, i'm really fed up fighting unfair battles, so here is a good suggestion in need of support!

My idea (has been probably mentioned before) it's pretty simple & very vital because players like myself who struggle to level up due to lack of free time & avoid buying 'XP boost' take forever & ever to rank up thus end up struggling more.

Personal experience:

When playing PVP battles most of the time I fight against high ranks i.e level 40, rank 20-50+ & i'm only rank 1 ATM, look how distant the ranks are, how is this fair?.. Sometimes I win but only if the opposition plays bad or if luck is on my side other than that its hard & frustrating.

Conclusion:

Currently levels have a respectable difference of 1-5, (as we all know) this was purposely made to avoid drastic unfairness. So I also want to see the same for ranks too, maybe up to 10 difference sounds perfect. If we don't get a rank caption for the legendary players soon rank 1's will be fighting against 50-100's & this could make certain players go inactive.

If this rank caption was implemented it would not only be fair but also motivate players who are slowly progressing to keep going without being put off from imbalanced battles (even if we have to wait a minute more to join a more balanced battle, it's worth it).

I agree with your idea Elite Tuga, I know many players who have said that legendaries should have a caption sometime soon otherwise in the nearby future new legendary players or low ranks will be colliding with high level 40 ranks i.e 50-100 & getting into hard one sided battles isn't any fun.

While I would love nothing more than to support this idea I can't. Why? because doing something like this to the smallest group of players who have the smallest player range would cause them to get little to no fights at all. Especially if said players are extremely high in rank.

Players who have 50+ ranks would have exteme trouble find matches or in some cases not get a fight at all. Especially with the Limit of times you can battle a person per hour.

So sorry not supported.

I understand & respect your opinion but if for example one has rank 40+ and if the caption difference was lets say 20, the rank 40 player could find anyone as low as 20 up to as high as 60.
I don't see why it wouldn't work out. Yes finding a battle would be longer but at least it would be fairer & not put off new/low rank players, right?..

Anyway, maybe this idea is more convenient when more higher ranks flourish, but its definitely something in need of implementing sooner or later, I hope Dev's look into it.

Sorry to take the example of a player, but yes as all of us knows "comicalbiker", hes rank 100+ in his case, if the above suggestion is implemented, then he will be doomed, because it is pretty obvious that only he is 100+ and no one else(atm) and thus he wouldnt get to fight until someone ranks 90+, and second point is, no of rank 40+ are really low compared to the base players, so if two rank 50+ say rank 51 and rank 52 are online together, then the pvp system would make them fight every single or most of the times, which is again pretty dumb for this idea to be implemented so sorry i dont SUPPORT this idea.

As mother stated, the player base is too small for this to be a viable option. However, changing the gap so that only L40's fight L40's and not L38/39 would be a good start.

IMO, I understand your view but its not my fault such player put himself in that position way too soon at rank 100, because of him I don't think the rest of the ED community should pay the price of imbalances. Some people need to slow the hell down or just think of something else to do, meanwhile.

I agree with your idea, that situation also needs improving.

Anyway in a more serious note: I guess my suggestion like I said before would be awesome but for it to work out smoothly I guess we would have to give it more time ( i.e 1 year) & see more players with really high legendary ranks flourish, to avoid too much battle waiting time. I just want the Dev's to keep this idea in mind for the nearby future.

In 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 or both? Cause while in 1 vs 1 it wouldn't be too much of an issue since you are looking for 1 person, in 2 vs 2 you are looking for 3 others. This would cause issues especially during non peak hours.

If there was something to compensate for the wait times like having A NPC filling in the void if a match took a certain amount of time in 1 vs 1, and A NPC for each side in 2 vs 2 or 3 NPC with one person if needed like the infernal war then I could support this change.

But as long as well have such a small player base and nothing to compensate for the wait times we have to deal with, any more isolation and some people may not get matches period especially if they play early when the populations is like 200-300. We already get repeat players 2-5 times sometimes which is a clear indication that the player base is small.
