Hello guys,

I understand this has been asked and discussed with other players many times and I am having a hard time to decide which Subrace is most effective for Pure Ranger with invested stats for DEX, END, and LUK. I would really appreciate for your suggestions.

This is the link of my char btw

Luna Neko if using bows. Werepyre if using spears. The only catch for werepyre is you're forced to either maybe take a little bit of END and put into INT to pay for werepyre stuff or use a little bit of +INT gear to increase MP for the same reason. But the things Werepyre does is prob worth it over Werewolf. If you do not wish to do that, then Werewolf for spear using.

What would be the advantages of Werepyre to Werewolf?

Werepyre's beastform has a few advantages. First, it does a little bit more damage. Second, it splits half its cost between SP and MP. If you don't train INT, you can use the stat drive toggle and click it on and off every turn to fund the beastform, and essentially it pays with HP instead (because when you use a temp INT boost to pay for an MP effect, when you lose the INT boost, you pay HP relative to the MP you would've paid essentially)

Werewolf though has a +50 DEX drive. This multiplies your damage by 1.1x, which essentially brings you up to werepyre damage levels, and gives you 8 bth. So, it's better damage and accuracy, but you pay fully in SP. Also, you can use the END scaling werewolf heal, and the bleed skill, where werepyre's requires either STR or INT or both.

Also, werepyre gives some slight lifesteal and very very slightly better SP regen per turn for the cost of HP instead of passively. Werepyre also gives the werepyre bat guests, which is 9/10 times much more useful than the werewolf guest. Werepyre bats either does elevuln and defloss, or restores SP

Super quick: Werewolf slightly higher damage and accuracy overall, but more SP cost. Werepyre has a much better guest. Werewolf has better other abilities.

Werepyre's quick cast panic offsets the fact you'd be using HP. If you've trained END, it's a nice use of it. Like Grace said, toggling on/off the INT drive provides the MP to use it, and then turning it off eats into your HP's a little. The panic lowers monster damage and so the HP loss is mitigated.

END training in many ways is fueling more offense, which is why all of those extra HP's are important. It's a way to increase damage output a variety of ways to help bridge some gaps between CHA users and non CHA users. In fact, since player damage boosts are so plentiful and stackable compared to Beastmaster related boosts, it's probably the better overall damage boosting stat. And utilizing your HP with INT drives (this includes items like Q4) can help you do that.
