This is the story about six very speial people. Not to you maybe, but to each other. The first part is a short tale of what happened and then there will be the events out of the veiw points of the six people. That is how this story will start. From there? Well what do you think?

A hero is bored born and the events that came before.

The man that would become The Odor was born to the arch mage Samantha Smith and the woodcutter John Smith 25 years ago. At that point they already had a son by the name of Lordan and later he would get a sister that was named Sinaka. Samantha had always disliked her normal name that very much clashed with her status as arch mage so she made sure her children would ever be mistaken for someone else, and as all good mages unaware that there is such a thing as overdoing it. The Odor was a happy boy and started to show signs of magical aptitude early in his life. Something that lead Samantha to choose him over her firstborn son Lordan and started to teach him magic at the remarkable age of ten. Since this is a fantasy story for a fantasy game you probably assume Lordan hated his brother for taking his place by their mother’s side, but that was not the case as Lordan was quite pleased with helping his father in the forest and learning the humble woodsman’s trade. Since they lived in a house located in Doomwood even a woodcutter had fight training that would befit a soldier. For five years The Odor trained, gaining strength and wisdom until a dreadful evening a necromancer attacked their small house. The dark mage was after his mother and after a long hard battle the necromancer killed the arch mage, but then John slew the necromancer but perished himself from the injuries. The children were left to fend for themselves in the depths of Doomwood. They left their home to try to find aid. They wandered for the entire night until they found a dark cavern where they rested. Lordan was reluctant to venture to far into the cave and set up their beds just inside the cave mouth. Lordan made sure Sinaka and The Odor were asleep, then sat down by a tree and wept. His parents’ death was going through his head over and over again. He got up and walked around in the cave mouth for awhile, trying desperately to think of something else.

The Odor woke up and found his siblings sound asleep. He heard a low call from deeper within the cave. It was calling his name. He walked into the darkness, and found that it was far shallower than the shadows suggested it would be. At that point he was approached by a creature of compact shadow. It told him it was called Garmand, and that it sensed his plight. The Odor told him the tale of the night he had gone through and pleaded for his help. Garmand told him that he would help him. The darkness promised to guide them to a town called Amityvale and help them earn a living there. If The Odor took him with them. The boy agreed. When he left the cave with the darkness deep inside his body he had no idea how his life just had changed forever.

Lordan saw his brother twist and turn in his sleep, muttering to himself. He sat down next to him and leaned in close and put his ear next to his mouth. He couldn’t quite hear what was being said, but the voice changed between his brothers normal, calm and soothing voice to a low and suggestive one. He pulled his brother over to where their sister was sleeping. He embraced them both and fell asleep.

When Lordan awoke the next morning he saw Sinaka eating and The Odor studying a map from their house. He was told of a city called Amityvale and how they would get there. There was an inn there, where his brother promised to make sure they would have enough money to live a good life. Lordan didn’t believe that, but was happy his brother was handling it so well. That night the guards patrolling Amityvale saw three children and brought them to the city hall where they told the story about their parents’ fates. Everybody in town knew John and his wife. Many a tear was spilled over them, and their children were allowed to stay at the inn. Everyone was ready to help them through life but the very next day The Odor was helping town folks to find lost things, and helping them with his magic. He soon became the main mage that people asked for aid in times of need. This lasted for three years until The Odor one day left the city to become an adventurer to make enough money to buy a new house somewhere his sister could be totally safe. That was what he told the people of the town and also why he believed he and his friend from the cave was leaving. His friend talked to him and aided him. He had never told a soul about Garmand. He didn’t quite know why.

He journeyed across the land gathering gold and power but never feeling pleased. Never once he felt that he had enough. He never had enough gold to make Sinaka live a good life. After 5 years on the road he started bounty hunting. He became a feared figure. Then one day, two years after he had taken this dark work, he was called upon by a crime lord in Swordhaven to capture a man. He had no clue what the man had done but stalked him across the land. He caught up with him in some oak woods. He wore no armor but had nice clothes weaved with a method unknown to The Odor. They looked unbreakable. On each hand he had a gauntlet with claws of light. He was waiting for him in the clearing. The Odor told him to surrender. The man just smiled and attacked him. He was the fastest and strongest foe The Odor had ever faced. They fought for hours until the man breached his defenses and struck him to the ground. The Odor looked up at his better. The man looked grimly back. I shall banish you, you slitter of darkness he said. The Odor didn’t understand what he meant until he saw the darkness seeping up through his clothes. A shadow him rose out of his chest and then looked at the man with the claws. The man of darkness laughed and bolted into the other man who parried his attack. And then they fought. The shadow first seemed to be at an advantage but the clawed man seemed more durable. The Odor prayed for them to stop. Every time Garmand moved bolts of pain erupted inside him. He called out to Garmand begging him to stop the fight. Garmand only growled back as he fought the man with even more frenzy. The man was being driven backwards towards The Odor, stepping over him careful not to step on him. He realized Garmand wouldn’t stop until the man was dead. He summoned his last strength in a blast of darkness that hit Garmand. The shadow seemed to catch flame and staggered back as the man summoned a katana and cut the retreating shade as he tried to flee. The shade uttered a shriek and faded away. as the blade cut into the shadow The Odor felt it like his insides were on fire. He felt his body being ripped apart and then he passed out.

He woke up a few hours later. The man was gone. So was the shadow clone, and all the power he had gathered. He felt as weak as he had when he first met Garmand. He sat up and thought back. He thought of all the things he had done during these seven years. The bad things his “friend” had suggested he would do to get money. Money for his sister that he hadn’t seen in seven years. He had sent them enough money to live. He understood that they probably still relied on the money he sent them, so he decided to keep adventuring, but also head to Amityvale as soon as possible to find his family. He got up on his feet and started walking through the forest. For the first time he could remember, he saw the forest as a living thing as his mother and father had thought him. Every tree was unique, and yet in a way they were all part of a single thing. He walked for an hour until he came to a steep cliff. To walk around it would take long and he felt the need to work out, so he started climbing until he got to the top. His muscles burned but he couldn’t help but to admire the beautiful forest from such a height. He could feel the sun on his skin and the smell of the oaks. He smiled and felt great things were coming his way. He would become strong again, and this time he would take care of his family with his own strength. A loud rumbling brought him back to then and there. He heard a flapping of great wings and something big and red swooped past him. And he would find his destiny.
