Battle in this weekend’s PvP card game Tournament!

Enter our 1st ever Tournament! Winner gets a statue of their character in town. Top 100 players get immortalized on the wall of champions. The slaughterfest begins today Friday, April 19th @ 4pm EST and the carnage ends on Sunday, April 21st at 8pm EST. Think you have what it takes to be in the top 100? Or do you just want to hunt the players on the top 100 list to slow them down and ruin their winning streak? This tournament is open to ALL players. To compete, simply battle random players using the “BATTLE: Player” button. You know, the big red shiny one at the bottom of the screen. Every win will bring you closer to the ultimate 1st place price…. And if you do achieve 1st place on the leader board at the end of the tournament a statue of you constructed in the main town!

Rules:

  • Happening in-game at OverSoul.Artix.com
  • BEGINS Friday, April 19st at 4pm EST
  • ENDS Sunday, April 21st at 8pm EST
  • Win battles vs random players using the Battle: Player button to rise in rank
  • #1 Player will have a statue of them placed in town
  • (Statue will remain prominently in town until it is gloriously moved to the upcoming Hall of Champions, immortalizing the winner for all time.)
  • Top 100 players will also be immortalized on a web page called the Wall of Champions for everyone to see.
  • Cheats/Hackers/Exploiters will be disqualified
  • “Disconnects” are being tracked. High numbers of disconnects from battles will cause players to be disqualified.
  • The game is in Beta and we are doing this for no other reason than it is something cool for all of you battle hungry Oversoul Players… so when problems inevitably happen, or things do not go as well as we would like, remember the age old battle cry: “THIS IS… A BETA TEST!”

    		The rewards for the top 100 are their names to be in the Hall of Champions for an eternity.

    A tournament?!?!?!? Finally, a time to do some awesome stuff with Paladin.
    I have already 2 victories, just a lot more to go.

    		So I've been out a while, and I just got back. My strongest character is Void Knight as a Lvl 6. :P I also got X-Mas Fiend and quite a few others. So what should I use to fight? I am kinda nooby in all of them.

    		@Lord well Void Knight is either the best, or one of the best, so train that and hope you don't get matched against a level 20 or something like that.

    		How do you get a win count? I've been fighting for about an hour and it only shows 2 victories. It's bad enough that I'm being spammed by ubers but after all my victories only 2 counted?

    		The LB(LeaderBoard) updates every 5 minutes. Your win count goes up every kill the next time it updates(every 5 minutes) but you have to refresh the page for it to show. Maybe you are looking at the hourly and not all time so try looking at the top and clicking on "all time". I use ctrl f to make it easier to find where my character is on the LB once I am on the all time LB. You must be on the top 100 for it to show so you must currently have 40 or more kills in total since the tournament started.

    Ahh you're right, my win count has increased, man they're a ton of level 20 uber characters all over the place, the only character I leveled passed 15 was FireWitch, meh, that's pretty much all I can use besides some lucky matches I had with my level 12 barbarian.

    Excuse my triple post but this has been really bothering me, it always seems when I have a significant advantage on my opponent, they will click off their tab or minimize the game to keep me stuck in the "waiting for other player to connect" or whatever screen as if they're trying to get me to leave. This has been happening quite allot and while I'm told its my connection I'd have to call bollocks on that. There really should be a system that kicks players out if their connectivity ceases from the server for more than 20 seconds.

    Just delete your first post and if that does happen you either have to just play normally or refresh and re-log. Nothing we can do about it but dicusss it in the proper thread

    That thread is for any non-character suggestions so be free to voice all of your thoughts there

    But it's regarding the rule that if you quit too much you have a chance of being disqualified, I wouldn't want that happening to me due to people getting stuck constantly. Normally I couldn't care less about having to refresh but in something where it could potentially hurt me then I have a problem.

    Just try another server. I think AE will have many ways of sorting out who was doing it legally and who did it illegally.

    		The first tournament have finally end! Its been a great match to every players despite being close to win in numerous matches and yet won many battle against tough opponents! A great achievement to those who make it to top 100. Well done everyone!
