@Dragon Elite
I'm actually not; been trying to find his previous evolutions cus I need to recapture that darn Sword Skeleton, but I haven't been having much luck. 12 tries and still nothing >.<
I was just in the Undead Dungeon cus Blade Skeleton spawn often there... though they all seem to be hiding now.
Finding that Ancient Shogun spawned there was just happenstance.
I guess the others care for the sake of wiki completeness.

Oh okay that's cool and good luck.

Is it me or is Aegea's possession rate astronomically low? I've defeated her at least 10 times and have failed to possess her each time. Also, I've only seen her once since the release. It seems they put a bunch of the old Halloween Characters in the inn.

@Gorillo really I only found them in Sleepy Wolf and for some reason where Orc Rogue spawns.

Sleepy Wolf Inn shares its character pool with parts of the World Map that aren't special locations like "Lake" or "Giant Boulders".

@Jop I know, but for me it was easiest to find any of Priest's 3 forms in Sleepy Wolf, and that's all I'm going to say.

Inn is only good for finding the orcs in my opinion

I finally ranked up to shogun and the deck is amazing thinking of making it my first level 20 shadow character

I'm curious as to how you came to the conclusion that Ancient Shogun's deck is amazing. For a Legendary requiring a Level 20 and a total of 10 SG's to obtain, I find it seriously underwhelming.

I can count twenty Shadow characters with decks I'd consider better than Ancient Shogun's: Abberant, Arch Lich, Assassin, Black Dragon, Blood Ranger, Dark Incarnate, Darkon, DarkonDrago, Degore, Dread Fiend, Fiend of Vergil, Necrosis Dezgardo, Poison Drake, Revontheus, Vampire Knight, Vampire Lord, Void Cowboy, Void Cowgirl, Void Knight, and Void Reaper.

I do not recommend that anyone get Ancient Shogun unless they want to collect all Legendary characters. All that can be said for it is that it has amazing art and animations. I don't see that alone as compensation for its deck considering how much harder it is to obtain than so many more effective characters.

Not only that, he got Void Reflection. And he got 2 Blood Rage with 2 life drain which will maintain his HP.

@Gorillo As if Shadow isn't power hungry enough; it's two 500 attacks ._.
@Mega 11 for 1000 Damage and 100 Health If I'm not mistaken, it looks a lot like it's pretty dead-on cost per reward. Also, the cow-people have the same thing going for them.

It doesn't even have empower, even with the 6 attacks and legendary rank. Gosh.

Mega mentioned about using 2 blood rage and 2 life drain. It heal a total of 800 HP and not 100 health on 1 life drain card. After that, using 2 blood rage will cost 6 energy but it deal 1000 pierce damage while sacrificing his health. Ancient shogun is cost effective but he is good if we used him properly. I guess this is what mega wanted to mention judging from what he will be saying. He may not have empower which is not s good thing but CC can fixed that. Just equip at least 1 empower and 2 poison then he will he good.

@legend 2 life drains and 2 blood rages heal for 200 health although this can't be done cause energy cap is 20 haha. 1 life drain and 1 blood rage heal for 100 health

Yes. But I think mega was aware about the life and what he mean by maintain was actually meaning ancient shogun will heal back 200 HP. I guess he must had meant what I always do in battle when using shogun. I used 2 life drain before using blood rage due to cost effect and to healibg some health back to stay alive then use 2 blood rage to deal more damage if the opponent used shield.that's how I understand what mega was saying. Its strange that I got quite the same thinking as him. At least in OS.

I'm talking about one for each. 1000, 400-300=100. So 11 energy for 1100 total output. Even then, it would be 800-300=500, certainly not 200 .-.

Ancient Shogun has 0 Poisons and 1 Mark of Death. That's what it comes down to. Its Void Reflection, its pairs of Blood Rages and Life Drains, and its lack of Empowers aren't nearly as pressing issues because those are all very average cards. Void Reflection is pretty decent when it works but it's the worst card in the game if your opponent can play around it, which they often can. Many opponents will have the resources to just put up defenses and DoTs (which is generally their best bet anyway) without attacking into Void Reflection. That 13 energy out the window is more than enough to lose you the fight. Blood Rage's piercing damage is a nice situational benefit that isn't beneficial in most situations. Unless it's a finisher, it's worse than Sacrifice because 100 HP is less costly than 3 energy. Just because Blood Rage is less common than Sacrifice in base decks doesn't mean that Ancient Shogun gets any benefit from having Blood Rages as opposed to Sacrifices. Life Drain is perhaps the least special of all and should only be used when it's unavoidable (not that Ancient Shogun has the better alternatives it's supposed to anyway). The Life Drain combos with Blood Rage are cute, but mediocre and actually less cost-effective than just dropping two 500-Attacks... Not much of a combo, really.

Ancient Shogun has an uncharacteristic lack of the DoTs that are essential to Shadow characters' success and nothing to make up for it. Its deck would be below average for a Master and is downright disappointing for a Legendary. Crypt Samurai was a laughingstock for having such a bad deck as a Master, and unfortunately this trait appears to run in the family. Shadow characters work best by maximizing their odds of opening with as many Poisons as possible so that they don't have to worry about not getting the full duration of their DoT's before cleaning up by smacking away at whatever HP is left. All Ancient Shogun can do is smack away while hoping for the best and expecting the worst. Sure, you can CC Poisons in, but then it'll still be inferior to those characters with both base AND CC Poisons.

@Gorillo Titan: Shadowfire is a cool perk, but it's really nothing out of the ordinary. Its cost-to-benefit ratio is the same as the universal 500-attack and it's just a reskinned Fire Ball. To say Ancient Shogun's deck is amazing because of the single Shadowfire without looking at the rest of it is analagous to calling Fire Bat's and Burn Mage's respective decks amazing, which they aren't.

Just equip some poison, 1 Mark Of Death and 1 empower will fix this situation. ;)

I thought that it was assumed; after all that fuss about the power of poison during the shadow tourney, I thought that people already knew that shogun was doomed to be inferior from the start. Empower would have rounded it out nicely, in the event of not receiving enough charges for other stuff; charge conservation and all that.
On another note, is empower more commonly rolled from CC than poison? I've got a 2 to 5 ratio despite what the star amount would lead you to believe.
._.

It depend on one's own luck when getting the high rarity card especially when player bought with 15K gold. Since empower have one less rarity star than poison, it have a slight chance to get more empower than poison but everything is based on luck. Not really worth it consider 15K gold is too expensive and the chance to get low rarity card is very high.

Depends on your definitions of "fix" and "this situation", which evidently are much different from mine.
