When I mean for EpicDuel to scrap everything I meant it towards the overall battle system. Buffing and nerfing at this point is building upon a system that is broken because like others stated before there is a cycle that happens in Pvp games like this that takes place: Op Build is found, people start copying said OP build, certain aspects of the build is nerfed, and the cycle restarts.
A 50/50 win ratio should be based on skill not on builds, stats, or gear even though those are part of the foundation and each class should be able to counter each class in its own way because we don't have the luxury of always changing it up everytime. Reason why old RPGs were fun was because of the balance and challenges they brought. An impossible enemy? The enemy is weak to such and such skill.
With EpicDuel's current system players found it hard to have fun near the level cap because they get players with higher stats, better *gear* (just gear with increased stats), and the chances of that player with a considered OP build. The win rate on that has lowered to a good 20 - 30%.
If we wanted to literally go with a rock, paper, and scissors system with stats then a game I know and loved playing accomplished that because it literally is that system with stats and the win chance is literally 50/50. spoiler:
