@Lemonus There are still four slots left in this game. One can still submit an application when the game is "Complete".

Anyway, these are all the skills I thought up (or stole from Free). Tell me if any of them are too OP to start with.

Skills:
Ice Shield: Creates a shield of ice that attaches to an arm by two rings.
Ice Fist: Encases one or both arms in ice which enhances punches while offering protection.
Ice Claw: Encases fingers with sharp ice nails which allows the usage of slash attacks.
Ice Pillar: Creates a pillar of ice as a platform to keep one from falling or to reach higher places.
Ice Wall: Creates a wall of ice for defense that sponges up damage.
Ice Spike: Creates spikes of ice to impale foes.
Ice Floor: Simple spell that turns the floor slippery.
Ice Weapon: Creates a weapon out of ice like a sword, dagger, hammer, etc.
Ice Armor: Encases body in a protective sheet of ice.
Ice Bullet: Requires ice claw. Fires off ice shots from the fingertips.
Ice Wind: Currents of cold air are blown at foes.
Ice Breath: Breathes out a stream of icy air from mouth.
Ice Fall: Causes it to hail.
Ice Prison: Traps a foe in a block of ice.

@Lemonus:
Like Daimyo said you can still post your app even if the game marked "Complete"

As with tomorrow having the game marked complete I'll also post in here all of your shiny controlable NPCs.

Decided to use my own app format for the shiny new Meisters for you guys

Nartbor:

Character Name: Marco Laister
Job: Meister
Skills & Abilities:
Heavy Slam: Marco slams his soul wavelength into something/one as an attack, usually causes minor muscle coordination loss depending on where the hit is.
Unarmed training: trained in unarmed hand-to-hand combat.
Heavy lifting: he can lift heavy objects do to weight training.
Description:
5'10", short auburn hair, sea green eyes, 18 yrs old. Normally wears a medium weight black leather jacket over a dark brown shirt, dense jeans and combat boots. Bit muscular build, rugged face and a deep tan.

Having been placed in a orphanage when he was still a baby, Marco spent most of his childhood without parents or friends. Normally the target for being picked on in the orphanage due being the only person with red hair their. He was eventually adopted by a kind loving couple or at least that's what they appeared to be. They were in truth a corrupt pair of Meister and Weapon looking for a free meal, after discovering this one night Marco ran away and lived in the streets till his 17 birthday. At which point he encountered an Meister and Weapon pair from the MWA having been sent in to deal with his adopted parents. Having come across the pair almost immediately after the battle, he believed that the MWA pair was simple a more powerful pair of monsters, not wanting others to be endangered by these monsters he charged them both with a pipe only to be quickly subdued by the Meister. Seeing Marco's potential they brought him to the MWA and told him that from here he could help a lot more people be safe then he could back in the streets of where he lived.

Often un-trusting of those around him and cold, though the kinder side of his personality is coming since he's discovered that no one in the MWA cares what you look like or where you come from.

Arthur:

Character Name: Abigale Terraco
Job: Meister
Skills & Abilities:
Soul Perception: She can perceive the souls of those around her, and discern their nature.
Gymnastics training: Running, jumping, flipping etc all worked into a battle style that's more evade and strike than straight combat.
Fencing: Taken fencing classes since she was little.
Description:
19 yrs old, black hair that reaches the middle of her back, pale blue eyes. 5'7", athletic build, pretty, tanned skin. She normally wears a dark blue shirt with an open light coat over the top, somewhat distressed jeans and sneakers.

The younger sibling to Shadow and his Meister(his step-sister) she has always been trying to keep up with them both. Taking fencing classes, gymnastics, enrolling in the MWA she has always been trying to make them proud of her(though they are) and earn her keep having been mostly raised by both of them. Quiet and a bit quirky though outgoing and kind, she never makes a big deal about being Shadow's little sister, nor does she ask for special treatment.

This is for the return of magic

Forum name: Salene
Character name: Ssvera
Magic type: Transformation:
Able to turn into a large golden snake.
Able to intimidate and sense danger while in snake form
Enemies see Ssvera as docile and unarmed
Able to make enemies seem uncomfortable, constricted, tired, and unhappy. The effect is stronger the closer Ssvera is.
Description: (What your character looks like, age and a bit on who they are.)
Ssvera is approximately 3 years old, even though she looks and acts as if she has been alive for hundreds of years. She has a black, scaly blouse that always seems to be billowing as if in a strong wind. She has very pale skin, the color of cream. Her eyes are red, and very face is very angular. She has black hair that seems to be underwater, moving of it's own accord, and swaying slowly. She has black circular tattoos all along her exposed arms. She wears black scaly pants, that have white cloth at the bottom. She wars no shoes. She is very tall and elegant, almost model like. A strong aura of fear and decay can be sensed whenever near her.

Ssvera was hatched three years before magic was returned to earth. Her egg had been incubated for almost three hundred years. Inside the egg, her unconscious brain learned, gaining information from the ever changing and shifting world around her. Her egg had been destined never to hatch by the prophets, they said that she was to lay in the mountains eternally, guarding the last of her kind. The prophets did not foresee humanity growing as it did though, and soon she was found. The humans kept her, examining her and the surrounding land. It was a cold day when the first crack appeared on her egg. The crack spread throughout the following week, slowly growing wider and longer until the egg seemed to be just a series of fragments. Ssvera was not happy when she awoke. She was tired, lethargic, and sick of humans. So she ate them.

Can you please give defined rules about the Fair? Quite literally anything Alison does now should easily enrage the typical Fair, so I want to make sure she's not dealing with a bunch of sociopathic gods here.

@salene:
Time to review that app.
quote:

Able to intimidate and sense danger while in snake form

This seems kinda redundant considering she's is a big snake.
quote:

Enemies see Ssvera as docile and unarmed
Able to make enemies seem uncomfortable, constricted, tired, and unhappy. The effect is stronger the closer Ssvera is.

Are these for her human form or snake form?

I guess I didn't state it clearly in the thread, but there were no creatures of magical nature on Earth until very recently and by that I mean like a week ago in game. While I'm not opposed to a non-human PC, I can't accept the app due to the inconsistencies in the back-story, though that could be my own fault for not clearly stating that a for mentioned lack of magical creatures on Earth.

@Kkut:
Basic Fair rules:
1. Carry out any deal made with them.
2. Threats mostly annoy them.
3. Slights may or may not be returned in kind.
4. Don't steal from them.

I'll and more when I think of more.

Yep. You can:
1. Rewrite the back-story to fit a human.
2. Rewrite what she's been up to for the past week.

Your choice really.

So... Are they incapable of lying? Clearly "must be invited" doesn't apply so...

There is the TvTrope link I was expecting. They are incapable of lying but they can twist their words link usual. They do also have the iron weakness.

How We Roll Winner
Dec14

Forum name: Arthur
Character Name: Lancet Grey
Job: Death Scythe
Weapon form: Lancet in his Weapon form is a huge claymore with a black spiked chain attached to the pommel which can be extended upto a full range of 15 feet in order to maximise Lancet's reach. The chain has a balled end which makes it partly difficult for the wielder to maintain a grip on the massive blade.

Lancet is a dual-edged blade with the breadth being grey in color with intricately carved red runes which seem to pulse with life. The edges are polished silver and shine a beautiful white. In Death Scythe form, Lancet has a maximum length of 5 feet from pommel to the tip and a breadth of 1 and a half foot across the girth of the blade.

The Hilt is wrapped with black-ish bandages and seem to twist in the wielder's grasp as if writhing.

Lancet's cross-guard is shaped like a golden dragon's jowl with the blade seeming to erupt out of its open jaws.

All in all, Lancet strikes an imposing figure as a Weapon.

Description: 25 years of age, Lancet has a somewhat mysterious personality. He talks only when talked to or when he needs to and generally doesn't mingle with the other people of the society if he can help it, which he can't under most situations. He mostly remains calm, preferring to show his emotions only when he sees fit.

When he is happy, he will show it with a tiny smile. Infact, this smile of his is so small that it is practically not there.
In his anger, he will make sure that all around him know that he's not to be messed with.

Strangely enough, he has an appetite the size of a dinosaur and he doesn't like being disturbed when he is busy eating.

He has a golden mane of hair on his head that he brushes back very neatly. He further has a fairly handsome face, more on the cute side than on the beautiful side. His fair complexion further projects his features.
A plain black eye-patch adorns his left eye leaving him only at the mercy of his right one. He has plain brown eyes.

He wears a red scarf on top of a slim-fitting dark grey T-shirt with a wide neck. For lower apparel, he wears blue denim and heavy brown boots.

Skills and Abilities:

Soul Rupture is an ability that lets Lancet unleash huge amounts of Soul Energy in the form of ground-breaking strikes one hit from which can obliterate one's Soul shaking it up. It has a stun effect on enemies.

Inverse Pulse is an attack that enables Lancet to become near untouchable. Any object, person or attack that is thrown/flown/launched at him provided the projectile's velocity is reasonably high, almost half the velocity of sound in air.

Stand of Endurance grants Lancet's wielder an immense amount of endurance for as long as he doesn't get exhausted. However, during this period, the Wielder's movements become heavy and Lancet's movements get restricted.

Mach Speed grants the Wielder Superhuman speed for a short amount of time. Additionally, the person can even phase through solid objects while using this ability. Does not work against natural structures like whole mountains or cliff faces.

Multiple Damnation makes Lancet's blade disappear and strike in the form of sharp and fast wind currents from all directions. Good for handling multiple enemies but devastating when used on one.

Critical Stab extends Lancet's Stab reach to three times the usual resulting in an extended stab range.

Final Solution is an attack that consumes the Meister's Soul Energy completely causing Lancet to exponentially increase in size and to additionally become easier to wield. In this form, all of the above-mentioned attacks can be used to a greater effect and the damage inflicted by Lancet becomes massive. Lancet cannot go back to human form for a short time after this attack is used.

.-. You didn't have to re-post your whole app. Your powers are powerful and you are a Deathscythe, so I have one warning don't break the city and MWA by accident it takes a lot of money to repair.

So I've been thinking about adding something to Return of Magic for a while. I was thinking of adding something akin to the karma system in inFamous, though I want to know what everyone thinks of it. Go with adding it to Return of Magic or just make an inFamous A&R? I do have some ideas for a inFamous A&R I do remember someone mentioning somewhere here that they were also thinking of of doing one.

So with Good Karma our heal move becomes a group heal and with Evil Karma we get bonus exp for killing bystanders? Seriously speaking, you should only use the "karma exclusive upgrades/powers" part. Even then, I was intending to include a Neutral karma rank as well. Though besides all that, you should probably just focus on making an interesting story.
