I got this from another game basically if you turn this option on when let say your level 40 and you fought a level 36 your stats will be downed to balance to the 36 that way it seem like your equal only difference is that your skill will stay the same only in stats are you balance the purpose of this is simply by doing this you earn 1.5 more credits and exp as a compensation if you win.

forgot to mention that this isnt force thing more of you go to settings if you want to handicap your self

Well, this is just a bandaid fix over the real problem, which is a lack of players. More players equals more people your level equals more balance.

Not necessarily. That also means that there's a better chance of players being in the far end of your range.

No, with how the balance system works it will always pick the player closest to your level. More players decreases the chances of ending up with someone 3-4 levels higher.

Actually only level 40 has a handicap of 2 or less levels in 1 vs 1. From what I have seen with my alts I sometimes get a gap of 4+ levels in both battle modes. Funny though balance is so messed up that level advantage > first turn advantage depending on builds.
