The majority of my post was written before the cut was announced. One last parting gift for Ross, and he can do with it what he likes, I suppose. Just wanted to say that I didn't see the cut and write that to be mean. It's been fun, blank!

 A note to go along with the post, Kriege has torn off the head plate of the helmet. This results in his head now being more vulnerable. He won't have the forehead/cranial protection. Without the plate to attach to, the chain coif is going to slid somewhat down his neck as well.

 I really have no desire and drive to work on a post, but I'm working on a post. It will likely be up within the next two hours, since I'll sleep though the deadline otherwise, as I am fighting off an illness of some kind.

Well, sleep in assuming my back lets me. Too much burning of candles on both ends.

Edit #1: Did you know that harlequin is a shade of green? I would like to use some of the words in my post more often. Speaking of, I am reviewing that post now.

Edit #2: Post is up. I'll be heading to bed shortly-like. Working on it at such an odd hour meant...really had no room to go and get any peer review of it, but I did my best to try and bring it up to a far better muster than the post written on a recalcitrant iPad between sparse moments of wi-fi access. There are benefits to being home. Even if being home means finally catching ill during the attempted recovery from the rigors of travel. Being home means a comfy bed with plenty of blankets. It calls to me. Cheers folks =P

After a certain degree of consideration, given the fact that jerenda has idled out, I'm going to push the next cut back three days to Saturday evening. There is a decision which I could have made tonight, however I would prefer to see how the current situation develops over the ensuing days and then revisit my thoughts upon their conclusion.

The Pillar of Wind has slowed to a calm zephyr, its forces considerably diminished.

As noted above, the next cut is now scheduled for the evening of Saturday, September 27th (barring idle).

I'm working on a post now. I'm going to put it up at seven-ish so jerenda has time to either put up her exit post or give me a quick blurb on what Julianna will be doing so I don't have to gloss over her actions. Hopefully that'll be enough time for you to post tonight.

Thanks, Apocalypse. I don't have a cookie, so how about I don't throw a fireball at your face?

I'm feeling rather sick today. It made it difficult to shift through the different thoughts for this improvised post, but hopefully I'll come back with a clear head and a decent post later.

Edit #1: Oh how fun the timeline is to play with right now.

Edit #2: Remember, I do have physics as part of my effects. "F.E.R.R.E.T.s may appear closer than they are." At least after firing off both Scatters from the citrine and garnet aligned emitters, aka pawclaw blades, you can easily assume that the construct will be propelled away from Makelyth. Not easily punted, basically. That said, your move, dragonman. (One of the OOC reasons I decided to go after you is that I am working all day tomorrow, so my non-presence also won't slow things down much for the other melee.)

And here we are again - the 4th in our series of eliminations. On Wednesday I'd managed to narrow the scope of my decision down to two individuals, but had wanted to observe them for one cycle more before settling the issue. Before proceeding forward, I need to clarify something: The post for this cut was originally written and intended to be put up last night, and what has occurred since unfortunately does not change the reasoning by which I've had to make my decision. That said, let us proceed with the post as it was originally designed.

The reasons that I've had to make this cut are twofold, both because of idle and because of posting style and flow, as well as other, more minor factors which have in the end contributed to this being the only decision that I can make here.

The Pillar of Darkness squelches and then with but a *pop* recedes from its place on the sands, naught but a small pocket of Dark against the arena's wall remaining. Necro-Knight, it is with regret that I must announce that you have been cut. Should you wish to retreat, a gate will appear on the wall behind where the Darkness Pillar once stood and will transport you and you alone out of the arena.

The last cut before we reach our final grouping will take place on the Evening of Wednesday, October 1st - right on time.

You will notice that my post is about 1 minute and 41 seconds after Kell's post. I really need to do my last-minute revisions BEFORE the last minute (as in, before it is transferred to the actual board)

 Post is done. Biding my remaining time in hopes of getting a peer look-over or two before tossing it up.

Edit: F.E.R.R.E.T.s are pack-based territorial defenders. Without another F.E.R.R.E.T. to trust with the role of distraction, a solo chassis tends towards having limited avenues of assaulting bipedal targets. This isn't so much a lack of imagination being shown in going for the leg, as much as an acknowledgement of the lack of viable targeted locations available to a Lightsplitter chassis. Especially when being reluctant towards charging further Scatters for their not-intended use as a mobility aid.

 I'm working on the post, and should get things up tonight. Just as a note, so that everyone is on the same page, Apoc and I discussed his last post, and I approved his actions as regards the resolution of Kriege's grapple attempt.

To describe the fire-breath, think that one guy in Iron Man 3 that breathed fire. Not billowing, encompassing flames, but a narrow stream with devastating consequences. It won't last long, but wherever F.E.R.R.E.T. moves, Makelyth will attempt to follow with the fire.

Edit: Of course, he may have a hard time seeing the ferret depending on the Shimmer, but his reptilian eyes can usually follow the signs of movement.
