Testers check the releases made by the developers before it is implemented into the game. However, they are not in-game moderators so they cannot mute, kick out, or ban any players. Testers have green name tags in-game.

Thief Enhancements
Thief Enhancements primarily increase your Dexterity stats, with some added Strength and Endurance. The higher your Dexterity, the higher your Haste and Hit Chance. Some Classes that benefit most from Thief Enhancements are DeathKnights, Dragonlords, and Rogues. Seek out Metrea the Rogue Trainer at Battleon Town’s Trainers Lodge and Elissa Keelhaul the Pirate Trainer in Lolosia to obtain Thief Enhancements.

Treasure Chest
Treasure Chests are items dropped by any monster in the game that, when opened, yield great rewards. In order to open them, you have to obtain Treasure Chest keys from the NPC named Twilly in Battleon, the hub town. One key costs 200 Adventure Coins. Legends can obtain two free Treasure Chest keys for free once a month.

Trolls
Not to be confused with the mythical creatures, trolls are players who do or say certain things to annoy or offend other players. If you happen to encounter this type of player, it's best to ignore them.

U

Upholder
Upholders are users who contributed to AQW through purchasing Membership between October and November, AQW's anniversary period, of the corresponding year.

W

Wars
Wars are events that require the turning in of a set amount of medals dropped from defeat of monsters to complete. Wars have War Meters, which keeps count of how many waves people have completed across ALL servers. Once the meter hits 100%, the war boss will be released.

Weapons
A weapon is a type of battle equipment that you use to attack enemies. Types of weapons include swords, daggers, axes, maces, bows, staffs, polearms, etc. Weapon enhancements are used to change the weapon's level.

White Hats
White Hats are former hackers who have vowed to use their very specific set of skills and knowledge of programming and/or web development to help keep AQWorlds safe. White Hats have dark red name tags in-game.

Wisdom
Wisdom is a statistic that increases Hit chance, Crit chance, and Evasion chance.

Wizard Enhancement
The Wizard Enhancement increases Intellect, Wisdom, Luck, and Endurance stats, which helps buff your Spell Power to boost your magical damage. Some Classes that benefit most from Wizard Enhancements are ChronoCorruptors, Paladin Slayers, and Vindicators of They. Speak with Arcana the Mage Trainer at the Trainers Lodge in Battleon Town to buy Wizard Enhancements.

A great start to the guide! You can always use the AQW Wiki's Glossary to help if you get stuck for terms to add, though credits must be given.

Although you're using bold, underline and italics; at the moment (aside from the guide title) the main bulk of the guide is all in black and the regular size. This makes it hard to separate the guide in the reader's eyes. Try using different sizes and colors for your sub-headings to help space out the guide so the reader can easily identify which section they are viewing. See A Guide to Guides for more information.

My last point is the line-break tag. This is how they should be spaced to create an even gap between he lines:

Once the guide becomes more detailed, I shall post some more feedback. Keep up the great work!

@bnguyen101 Oh sorry about that! There's not really a spell check for your name, though. Anyways, thanks.

You might want to add somewhere that not only Moderators have golden names. Also adding Testers and Developers would be better.
This link might help you for the description.

Also found a part where you are slightly mistaken
quote:

A seasonal rare is available at a specific time once a year.

It's not necessarily once a year, considering that the Voltaire events re-appear on Friday 13th and we sometimes have more than one per year, so I'd delete the "once a year"

Ready, set, review! Going to do a little nitpicking so you don't have to! Keep in mind these are all just suggestions and are based in my opinion so you don't necessarily have to make any/all of them. Different sections correlate to yours in the guide.

-Under "server": Capitalize the two times you say "legend" so that it is clear you're talking about the title of Legend. Also, I believe you have to be over the age of 13 as well as confirm your email in order to use the chat servers.
-Under "Lag": You say "I" instead of "it". I'd also sort of disagree with glitches/bugs being included as a part of lag. This DNs post has some very useful information on lag.
-Under "membership": You say "limited time" twice, it doesn't seem really necessary to have them both. One can be useful since packages stack and thus you don't necessarily only get 1, 3, 6, or 12 months of membership but it might be good to mention these are the packages.
-Under "release": Capitalize "Design Notes" and add a period to the end of this one. You may also want to include the Wiki's Chronicle of Releases. Not as handy as the DNs a lot of the time, but it has everything on it.
-Under "bugs": Remove the "similar to lag" part, since (as mentioned before) lag and bugs aren't really the same thing.
-Under "chat": Maybe include that the chat pane can be expanded, scrolled, and hidden.
-Under "account activation": You just need a period at the end of this one too.

-Under "class": It should be "a type" and "a unique" instead of "an". I wouldn't say they can be "exchanged" since that implies exclusivity, i.e. only being able to have/use one class. Maybe reword it so it's clear that you can get different ones. Finally, capitalize Warrior, Mage, Rogue, and Healer.
-Under "experience points": Level cap is 65. This is one you'll have to keep updating as the level cap increases.
-Under "farming": Your wording on this is a little confusing in the first place, but you may want to make it clear that most people use "farming" in the term of repeatedly doing a task, usually efficiently.
-Under "spam": While skills can technically be spammed to inconvenience other players, most of the time when people say it in regards to skills (especially here on the forums) we mean use it as often as possible. So you may want to remove skills from that or specify what kind of skill spamming you mean.
-Under "drop / drop rate": Items from quests are also called drops, so remove the "on a monster". Since you talk about the relative magnitudes of drop rates, you may want to mention that the rate isn't often confirmed and if it is, it's on the Wiki's page for the item.
-Under "rare": Remove the part about "awesome rare" since it isn't really a rare, and there are a lot of other rarities as well. Also, mention an exception for items that are "rare" because their source is no longer obtainable, i.e. Lesser Caladbolg is "rare" because HcPP is rare, but you can still actually get the Lesser Caladbolg if you have the HcPP.
-Under "guild": AQW has factions as well, so mentioning that in the list could be a little confusing. Capitalize "legend" when you use it. And you may want to say 50 players rather than 50 members, since members was the old name for Legends, so it could be a little confusing.
-Under "temporary items": Just missing the period.
-Under "health points": These can also be restored via the game's passive regeneration engine, not solely by resting, as well as from potions and class skills. Might want to mention these.
-Under "mana points": Same as for health points".
-Under "wars": Just missing the period.
-Under "public test realm": They aren't just mentioned by mods in the game chat, they are often on the DNs and in the server list. They're also almost exclusively Legend-only.

-Under "free player": Capitalize "legend". Also, some people argue that a "free player" plays exclusively without payment, which means they are not a Legend but also don't buy ACs. And although it hasn't caught on as much and not a lot of people use it, the "official" term for non-member players is Heroes. You can take a look through this DNs post if you want to see some of the terminology that the team says they'll use.
-Under "founder": Capitalize "founder". Also, the Platinum Dragon is a yearly thing they get, not monthly.

-Under "Portal": Missing the period. Also, capitalize "artix points".
-Under "Artix Points": Capitalize "artix". Maybe also mention they can be obtained with offers, since you mention that for ACs.

Now just a few suggestions for general improvement.
-For things that have a common acronym, like the Design Notes being called "DNs", you may want to include those with their sections.
-You may want an entire section for acronyms since they are quite prevalent in the game and on the forums, but that is a lot of work. The Wiki has a nice list but it is by no means complete/exclusive.

That's all of my nitpicking for now, good luck with getting your approval!

Thank you guys for the much needed reviews! I really appreciate it! I didn't even notice all the errors in the guide, and I have been busy with my summer job ( who knew you could be this busy in summer?) but I will try to get to everything. But I'm just glad to finally get more feedback on my guide. Thanks again, guys!

Your approval request has been denied.

Before this guide is approved, I would like you to implement more of Shadowhunt's suggestions posted earlier. I see that you've changed a few things, but there are still some lingering issues.

Some of the things he pointed out were just nitpicking small grammar points (these are not necessary to fix but would still be good), however there were also a few more important things that you missed. These are just some examples:

quote:

-Under "experience points": Level cap is 65. This is one you'll have to keep updating as the level cap increases.

quote:

-Under "rare": Remove the part about "awesome rare" since it isn't really a rare, and there are a lot of other rarities as well. Also, mention an exception for items that are "rare" because their source is no longer obtainable, i.e. Lesser Caladbolg is "rare" because HcPP is rare, but you can still actually get the Lesser Caladbolg if you have the HcPP.

quote:

-Under "guild": AQW has factions as well, so mentioning that in the list could be a little confusing. Capitalize "legend" when you use it. And you may want to say 50 players rather than 50 members, since members was the old name for Legends, so it could be a little confusing.

It is important that a guide does not have incorrect information, and that it is as clear and concise as possible. This is why I encourage you to once more review the feedback you've been given.

Also, be sure to give thanks where it is due by updating the credits section when you are done.

I am currently changing the format of this guide to more of a glossary type format. As you can probably imagine, that's going to take a lot of time to rearrange every term into alphabetical order. Also, I am very busy so I might have to save the changes here on the forums before I'm finished since I'm not using a computer, just thought I'd let you guys know.

Approval request denied.

While progress has been made on updating and fixing some of the things, there is still a list of things that would be good to change, or in some case are inaccurate and must be changed, before the guide is ready for approval. The list is as follows:

-Account Activation: By saying "keep up to date on our brand new weekly releases", it sounds like you're speaking as a staff member. While not exactly terrible, you're not one, and I don't know that you should take that tone.
-Action Bar: Should either say "is where your" or "is where the" but not "is where your the"
-Adventure Coins: Should be "are the secondary" and "they can be". They can be obtained for free through things like Honorable Hero badges/other AE gifts or selling the monthly Treasure Chest Keys Legends get. May want to mention more methods here.
-Akiba New Year: Really just missing the period, though you may want to capitalize New Year's Day
-Allignment: Alignment is spelled wrong. As an optional tidbit you may want to mention that alignment has no impact on the storyline.
-Armor: Because some armors are more than just aesthetic and provide boosts, you may want to reword this section so that it doesn't say they are "just" costumes
-Artix Entertainment: Mobile games include Undead Assault and BioBeasts as well now
-Artix Points: There is still no mention of offers even though offers are mentioned for ACs
-Bank: The entry is somewhat misleading as it implies a limited number of normal items can be stored, when in reality you need to purchase bank spaces for ANY non-AC item
-Class: I'm hesitant to go with "a type of fighter", and since there are clone classes a "unique set of skills" isn't exactly true. Maybe just "a set of particular skills" or something.
-Character Page: The last sentence is confusing grammatically. Might want to mention Legends can change their background from certain places in-game
-Developer: No longer true, as they have a purple rather than gold name now
-Drop Rate: The drop rate is not the average chance of getting it, it is the chance per kill/turn in that you will get it. No mention of Wiki having the drop rate for anything confirmed, not imperative to add this but could be a useful bit of info
-DragonLord (and Guardian and Star Captain): All of these mention linking the upgraded other game account to the Master Account that is linked to the AQW account. I'm fairly sure this isn't right, since there are the verification links you use and you can link more than one AQW account to a Master Account
-Founder: Says the dragon is monthly rather than annual
-Gold: Can also be obtained from Ballyhoo, certain upgrade packages, and contests. It can also be used to buy enhancements
-Good Luck Day: I've never heard it called this. I have always heard it called Lucky Day
-Guild: Doesn't need the "where" in "where if you are a Legend". Technically a new guild only has 15 slots and can be expanded to 50, so you may want to mention that for clarity
-Health Points: Also restored when dodging with the Rogue mana regen model, or from class skills/potions
-Legendary Hero: Just go with Legend since this is the term used everywhere (including his own description) and Legendary Hero is a class
-Mana Points: Restored during battle as well via the passive regeneration system, albeit slowly, as well as class skills (and maybe potions?)
-Membership: I don't think you need a Master Account to buy membership, though I'm not 100% sure on that one. You can also buy it in-game. Should probably mention they can stack
-Moderator: The name is technically gold, not yellow
-Party: Might want to mention it shows HP/MP for everyone and is limited to 6 players (you and 5 others)
-Pets: If you're going to mention roles, you should mention all roles (aesthetic, quest, battle, bank)
-Player VS Player: It's just /join bludrutbrawl for matches now. Queuing pretty much guarantees never getting into a match
-Quests: I wouldn't call them required nor for specific storylines, as there are a lot of quests that aren't necessary or aren't for storylines. Just say it's a task, and maybe add that it's usually gathering something or slaying monsters
-Rare: Though the information isn't technically wrong, the Buyback Shop changes some things, so you might want to figure out a way to put that in there. There's still no mention of things being "rare by association", which I feel is important to note
-Release: Still think the Wiki's Chronicle of Releases could be added here, but it's not imperative
-Reputation: Should say "increase your rank" and not "increase you rank"
-SponZard: Again using "our" making it sound like you're a developer, which you aren't
-Tester: Mention the name colour for them
-Weapons: Missing period
-AQ: (In the Acronyms and Abbreviations section) May want to mention that some people use AQC for AQ Classic

Other things:
-The Acronyms and Abbreviations could, and probably should, be expanded. This won't hold the guide back from being approved on its own, but the list right now is rather small and the list of acronyms people use, especially around the forums, is pretty big, so it would probably be good to expand on it. The Wiki's Abbreviations/Acronyms list is a good start, though it's still not all-encompassing, especially for the forums
-An entry for "Bag" could be good (since you buy bag space, for example), even if it just says "See Inventory"
-An entry for the Buyback Shop should be added
-Weapon, helm, and armor all have an entry but cape doesn't. You probably should add one
-There should be a standardization of capitalization. Adventure Coins, Reputation, Gold (unless referring to the colour, like for a mod's name), Experience, Class Points, Artix Points, Legend, etc. should be capitalized throughout
-Credits section needs to be expanded, Zyrain's name is spelled wrong in it as well
-A Changelog might be a good addition
-The entire Game Commands section doesn't really fit with the theme of the guide. It fits better with the How to Play! guide. It fits so well, in fact, that it is already in it. So the Game Commands section, though I can appreciate the work you've put into it, should probably just be removed
-Since you mention the Testers, Mods, and Devs, you might want to mention all the AE Team Member groups. More information on them can be found in this Design Notes

If there are any points that you require further clarification on, please PM me and let me know. This is not ordered by importance and I've not indicated directly which items are inaccurate and thus need to be changed (though wording should fairly well be able to tell you), but if you require this, please PM me and give me a couple days to get it all sorted.

^ Thank you for all the good suggestions. Also, I put "Storage" as opposed to "bag" and put the Wiki Chronicle of Releases with all of the other links. As for the class description, I am still working on finding the best way to implement the information.
