 Ahah. That was the general gist I wanted to bring out, ShimmerSoul. Glad you caught that wind. x) I'm a bit concerned about the hues, honestly—they're a nice mix but maybe too dark.

Do feel free to name it, give it a trait, etc. It's leaning towards being a female in my mind but it's entirely possible that it becomes male.

 Again, not related to anything in particular. Just an avatar I've been working on and discussing for about three weeks for a Twitter friend (@BidoofAE).

It might seem like I stole a background from Ravenloss (which was the idea since he wanted it like that). But I assure you, everything is made by myself. Just nabbed things like wall colors.

And before anyone says it, yes, I know he looks young. I tried to make him like a cherub but I think I overdid it. Oops. < >;;

Here's a very little edit for a Halloween Twitter avatar. It's not anything important, but I prefer dropping bits of eyecandy when I respond here. (Much better than just posting "thanks" and falling off the edge of the world for the next week/month, hah.)

The sharp-eyed Twitter folks here might notice I bumped up the brightness of the background a bit. I also stole it from Murk's shop. Shh.

Nice, I love that Murk face man! Do you think you could do a forum avatar version of my Murk design of my character, Sir Jonah? Pretty Please?

Edit: Scratch that, I decided to try a new Murk design for my character. This time, it's going to be a permanent soul fusion of my character Sir Jonah and one of the spirits I did before. I'll post it when it's done! It's in my gallery now if you wanna see it!

Oh, and I still love the Murk thing you did!

I took a peek at the new Murk design—and I actually rather like it, LigerBeard. The stripes and water drops are still a little repetitive, personally, but the rest of 'im is pretty interesting.

Since I'm more or less done with Halloween things on Twitter now, I guess I can take some time to play around with a small drawing of your character. I'm assuming you'd like a black silhouette over a background like what I did to my own avatar? Those don't take nearly as long for me to do as a fully Flashed and shaded head like Bidoof's piece.


An update...well, I did more Halloween-related things. But they might be too gory to show here. Oops. ; Flick through my Twitter images if you want to check 'em out.

The only recent upload that might be suitable to show here is this female head. Praise be to 2046808 for suggesting her traits.

 Ding ding, Razen guessed right. : p I considered making veins/cracks, but ended up going for branches and leaves. (Giving it a pink-purple-blue gradient looks pretty nice too, but that's a very minuscule detail.)

Funny thing is that when 204 told me about her, Alpha, he said to make her "cute." Not uncanny. Hahah. She does seem a tad queer though, being so pale and cyan.

Another bit of eyecandy—a kid head! This one was spontaneously made just yesterday because...weeeeell, Tomix made a new child head template and Shaister and I ended up talking about it.

...within 24 hours, Shai turned 4 people into kids and I made one. Magical things sure do happen after we have chats.

I didn't expect to deviate so much from Tomix's template. He also laughed when he saw it. Meep.

To me, at least, what makes Cyan-girl look eerie is the way she seems to be looking outward through the screen at me. No matter what angle I view from, that eye follows. O.o When I picture her looking straight ahead and restore the integrity of the fourth wall, she actually is quite cute. Also, I'm just going to say that her hair is lovely. ^_^

Also liking the child face design, although...I feel oddly compelled to flatten that one little piece of hair sticking up on the top. >.>;

I always look forward to seeing your creations. *breaks out pompoms* Keep em' coming, Tybii! Go! Go! Go! :p

 That...that wasn't hinting for a better ship name, ShimmerSoul. ;XD

I did try making the cyan girl look forward instead of towards the side like you mentioned. And she does look a tad less imposing. Nice call.


Thank you, also. Shaping hair is both wonderful and a thorn in my side.
As for the kid's hair tuft...that's how I feel about Book 1/2 Murk's hair, hah. He has that amusingly long piece dangling above his head and I just want to swat at it like some overgrown cat when I see 'im.

Encouragement's always appreciated. : )


...I actually have nothing noteworthy to show right now. Besides editing someone else's .fla (which I likely won't show since it's not really personal work), I guess I'm just planning on a Frostval avatar and more heads. Elemental Spirits are on the back burner for now.

I really like the kid you did! Super cute!! Also, I like the two cyan girls you did a lot!

Oh, and since you seem to be in possession of a new child template, could you possibly try using it to make my new personal character design? You can check it out in my gallery!

Of course, you don't have to do it, but if you want to, I'd love to see it!

 First... I did say above that I was willing to Flash your Murk, LigerBeard. I still find him very interesting.

Second, I do not have a whole child template. Only the head. However, if you would rather your new design, that can be done as well.

I am still editing a certain someone's .fla at the moment. After this though, I guess I could do a small headshot for you.

@salene: What gave it away? The multitude of spirits? The avatar backgrounds? x)

It's true that I like Ravenloss/Pellow Village (my character's hometown is the Void Ship) and sometimes I enjoy running around there for no purpose except to get inspired. Is it my favorite zone? Mmm...right now, probably. Because as a whole, that area's pretty awesome. My largest disappointment about the place is just that the architecture isn't more complex than it is now. Mind you, that doesn't mean I don't take the time to stroll through Sulen'Eska, Verteroche, Hunter's Paradise, or other locations every now and then for ideas.

I'm happy you still enjoy my work~. Art oughta be shared. Maybe, if you're interested enough, you could give drawing a go too? (Honestly, I'm impressed you're a Youtuber. That's something I can't do, hahah.)

Oh, and quick question, how'd you come up with the idea to make Even's legs the way that they are?

As for my girl's legs...I'll have to say that I've been inspired by multiple things across the internet and real life for a while. Eg. Morphological-class characters from TOME, Ene from the Kagerou Project, Shio from God Eater, Soul Eater, ghosts, water, shapeshifters, etc. But the first connection between fluid-like composition and Even's legs probably started with >>this particular sketch<< back from 2013. I don't remember what I was thinking when I drew that, but I liked the idea, so I've stayed with it and tweaked it here and there. Before that time, I really had no preconception at all that Even would have the legs she has now. Tried giving her sandals, boots, and high heels—however, none of those piqued my fancy as much as...well, amorphous goop. : D

I'll be able to start your headshot soon-ish, hah. Almost done with my current task.

...it's been another month and it's so darn quiet. It almost feels wrong to poke this thread back to life.

Also, I'm pretty sure a lot o' people already know what I'm gonna drop here.

Not too sure what else to type. Enjoy? I forgot to shade a small piece?



And yes, each spine-scarf segment is a separate piece similar to Resolve's tail. So minus the flames, it can be shifted relatively easily. : )
