I am making this thread solely because I want to see "more" coming from this game. What few players seem to understand is that at the moment there is a huge lack of strategy. Its all based on timing. Well here's what I mean.

There are a few main components that completely decide who will win or who will lose a match. These components are Strength, HP, Block % (Dex) and Crit % (Support). If you were to tank any of these stats and combine it with a couple of skills then you will have a good chance at winning the match. I feel as if that is something we can all agree on. Right? If not, I would love to hear your reasoning.

The problem is that we only have a limited amount of points to contribute to these categories so, we base our points off of the new "Trends". We all remember the insane BC Merc that was sure to kill you in 4 turns about a few months ago right? Well people countered that by raising their dex. Before that there was the insane CH mass build that was sure to go first and people countered that by increasing their support or HP and investing in shields. My timing might be a bit off but a player came up with a 1750 BM build before that. And what'd we do? We raised our strength to topple the players that copied that build.

Now focus 5 seems to be a trendy thing and it's like a walk in the park. Follow with me here: The only reason people had 60+ dexterity was so they don't get blocked by your 60+ dexterity. F5 builds mainly have 45. The only reason people had 1300+ hp was so that they don't get far behind your 1300+ hp. F5 builds mainly have >1000. The only reason people had 560 strength was so that they can rival your 560+ Strength. F5 builds have 520<.

The point im making here is that because of this MAJOR balance problem I'm having a walk in a park with my trusty old Celtic Cleaver and +4 block chance as I raise my Primary & Gun Strength to 600, lower my dex to 50 and increase my support to 50 counter f5 builds. There needs to be more to this game than 4 categories that mainly matter in winning a battle. There needs to be more incentive to use these builds I guess rather than a strong bot and 2/3 strong skills.

I guess the problem with Balance is that our options are so darn limited that "creating new and effective builds" has been reduced to "just counter the trendy build". The problem with balance is that there needs to be more and I am really hoping that we see "more" with the new cores coming out. There used to be "more" when each and every weapon had it's own individual stats. I am not saying we gotta return to that period of time but by making all weapons the same we stripped away diversity and introduced simplicity.

Edit: I would recommend more points, I would recommend more options with legendary points, I would recommend an increase of the amount of stats we can put into a specific category for our weapons/armor, etc.

More stats and you will soon see, insane mass killings builds, yes I am talking about such insane as 1000 health 650 primary 300 defns resis, not only that but insane tanks which is pretty nice, like 750 health 420 defns resis, more over I have been focusing on increase my limits of defns/resis without lowering much of my bot damage, and the highest I can go is ATM with a whooping 750 health 410 defns resis with 605 bot damage, and yes its just a f2 not f5, plus with +6 cores massive 432 defns resis. Believe me this is not the problem , the problem is that people will use the 650 primary damage with a really nice defns resis.

The limiting factor is not stats, but skills and cores. We need skill revamp and a greater variety of cores to introduce more diversity and fix balance.
