Originally I had 3 Corruptions and 1 Defend, but after my 2-0 loss to Signeous in our first match I switched to 2 Corruption and 2 Defends.

I thought that with 3 Corruptions I'd still only use 2 per deck rotation but I'd have 1 on hand more often to time around Iron Hide, but Defends on top of Iron Hides are enough to deal with Corruption. Although it takes 11 energy to negate a Corruption through 2 Defends and an Iron Hide, Defends can be used to play around an opponent's Iron Hide, 3 Corruptions meant having to either discard a Corruption that could've been better as a Defend or use too much energy on them and risk an Iron Hide absorbing two at once. I also ended up not having as much defence as he did, and I contemplated 2 Corruptions and 3 Defends but Darkbanex lost to Skurge with those CC's (the empty slot helps draw the ever-important Iron Hides and Neutralizes faster) so I ended up using the same set as Signeous and Skurge because it just happened to be doing that well.

Sometimes, especially in double elimination where you've got that second chance, "if you can't beat 'em join 'em" is the way to go. In the energy tournament I lost to clinton but stuck to the same CC's (1 Neutral 525, 2 Chargeds, 2 Energy-525s on my Hex) while The Jop adopted clinton's character and CC's (1 Neutral-515/525 and 1 Charged on Volt Engineer) after his first loss. The result: The Jop beat me and went on to also beat clinton in two consecutive matches using his own CC against him. Was a bit of a learning experience for me.

But hey, I've been shamelessly leeching off the good ideas of other players since the Shadow tournament when I just happened to notice that Tally had levelled a Poison Drake to 20 and that its Iron Hides (1 would be CC'd) were a great counter to other Shadow characters, most of which relied on DoT's extensively which were cannon fodder for IH. Tally ended up not showing up but Beck also happened to have caught on to the Poison Drake thing (before me I might add) and the final ended up being Poison Drake vs. Poison Drake.

Keep in mind I didn't actually know Clinton's CC until the tournament was over; great minds just think alike. I switched to Volt Engineer since Resonance wasn't working, and that's the CC I normally use for it.

There's a fixed date for the light tournament. Until then, I'm reading what everyone has to say and testing out different characters. Unfortunately, I do not own every light character, nor have access to them, so things have been relatively slow. I'll give everyone an update on the tournament later today.

In my opinion the light tournament shouldn't start till after valentines day to give people more options for light characters.

Is Founder Champion also banned or is it only Founder Knight? I was hoping to use Queen Aegea but seeing that it's banned that just leaves Founder Champion as my other decent Light character. If there's still time I could train another Light character if I have to.

I know, I would like an update soon. Eite Tuga said He/She was going to message Skurge about Queen Aegea after our PvP matches. I would like to know what's banned and what's not so I don't waste time training something I cannot use for the Tournament.

Not even sure I can take part in this school starts next week gonna be busy monday - thursday not counting work if I do miss it gonna try my best to be in the dual one though hope MG gets his rank up by then.

 Hey everyone.

Between random testing and feeling kind of sick recently, I haven't been able to update everyone in regards to the tournament. Here's some information which will hopefully clear things up!

Sign Up Date: Febuary 10th.

Banned Characters:
  • Seraphim of Ver
  • Princess/Queen Aegea
  • Penance CC
  • IronHide/Corruption CC

    Omni Knight, Zwei, Templar/Founder Knight[?], Sentry Lord, and Father Time are all permissible here. As the sign up date is Febuary 10th, I'm still open for suggestions!**

    **: Only Elite Tuga & TFP have offered me some so far! Templar as well as Founder Knight have been tought choices for me, so let me hear what you think about offensive-orientated decks. Also, don't hesitate to PM me with concerns or questions!

    I feel like characters such as Sentry Lord and Father Time can be pretty underwhelming, even with the greater heals. Both lack any real offense and usually just prolong fights rather than win them. As for Templar/Founder Knight, what do you guys think? I wanted Founder Knight to be available because it [technically] was a free and pretty powerful light legendary. As for Templar, it is a pretty offensive character, where you're supposed to focus more on attacking while slowly building HP in between turns.

    It'd be great to hear some possible solutions, rather than simply saying "This isn't right!". ;)

    		Templar seems nearly as powerful as Seraphim of Ver, but not too much more powerful than free light characters, so it's your choice whether to keep him. Founder Knight is nothing special though (how is it free though, didn't you have to purchase a soul gem package to get it? Also, it's a master, not legendary).
