Therry's side of the story
Therry listened to Gavin, while the others of the group heavily proclaimed they will find Vlade seeking revenge and more. Therry could only hold the voucher and look at it.

"All the riches I desire?: Thought Therry by himself. "I could easily grab this and be done with it... But I cheated on my friends and on the bet then... Could I live with myself knowing I never found out about Vlade and just bribed myself out of this?"
Therry pondered for a bit longer before deciding. "Gavin was it? I appreciate your offer and though I would completely have gone for the voucher, I have to decline. I will not lie to my friends. And it would seem like I am not the only one here that does not wishes to be bought out of this."

Therry saw how the other group members were either angry at this scene or calmly declined, Therry wonders if he is the only one who is not out to find Vlade for vengeful reasons.
As Therry was wondering about what is going on right now, the druid said:
"Secondly, Since we are all in a common cause for finding the entity, I offer the opinion, and the suggestion, that we all stick together as a group. We'll cover more ground and we'll have more allies helping one another.
Lastly, If this entity can take out 52 men in a short amount of time, do you really want to take your chances going it alone?"

Therry bursted out in laughter. "My apologies man, I was not listening to you. Hahahaha! You wish to stick together with everyone? Sounds like great idea, though I doubt grumpy and mister serious there are too interested in it since they would likely bicker over who gets to deal with Vlade first. And I don't know you too well either. I don't trust humans who are so open for alliances, they tend to be the first to betray us. So I would love to hear why you are after Vlade before starting to speak of teams. I don't even know Vlade, I just started this bet of finding him!"

Therry bursts out in laughter, finding the whole situation here rather funny.

Warwolf: Honor among a crew: Chapter 2

"I believe I already stated that good sir dwarf." The druid stated his calm demeanor starting to wane a slight bit. "My entire clan and that of a monastery of monks was eliminated." The druid's eyes held something else. "Taking a bet to find an entity whom doesn't exist, is quite a bold thing to do. I believe the others can speak for themselves wether they wish to join or not. Also, the Dwarf does bring up a fairly good point here. We'll cover the bridge of whom takes first shot at the Vlade, when we find the entity. We'll do it in a fair, respectable manner. I understand that each of us, minus the Dwarf has a lot of reason for going after Vlade, and I should think we all shall benefit from the final cause."

"As for betrayal." The druid says gazing seriously at the dwarf now. "I should like to think that I am the least likely source to betray another of any kind."

Warwolf looks at the others calmly and peacefully his patience once more returning to full strength. "It is, after all, your own choices to make. But I offer a small word of kindness and caution. Should you choose to travel alone, There will be no one to watch your back, or aid you should you come into some kind of trouble. And I believe, we may on the course of this journey, need the aid of one another, Perhaps I'll be proven wrong, but if we're already being told that our deaths will be assured if we continue our quest. Our deaths may be less assured if we work together as a group."

Marc listened as an individual known as Warwolf suggested some sort of alliance against Vlade. An interesting take on the situation. Unfortunately, one of the other members laughed as he dismissed the idea, feeling distrustful of the potential allies. Marc shook his head in annoyance this Therry did not come off as serious, and he wondered if the man's intentions to find Vlade was worthwhile. He seemed more acquainted with his bet than Vlade himself. Perhaps Therry was the one to not trust, then; perhaps his mind could be overcome by a lust for gold.

Marc broke into the discussion between Therry and Warwolf. "Betrayal or not, I think it best to have this conversation elsewhere - as in, not in the same vicinity as this 'Gavin' fellow. An alliance piques my interest, as the enemy of my enemy is my friend, so they say, but we should not discuss this openly."

Marc figured it best to leave the warehouse, deal with whatever threats Gavin offered, and then discuss an 'alliance'.

Therry's side of the story
Therry can feel the animosity in the air, for some reason the humans distrust him more but then again, being a dwarf has such a thing happen more often than not.
Therry's laugh stopped abrupt when the man named Warwolf dismisses his reasoning to find Vlade.
"I don't know why you guys take this thing so super serious. You guys are after Vlade. Nobody knows who he is and yet he is blamed for all kinds of crimes, sounds like a scapegoat to me.
And bets should not be underestimated, I take my bets serious. If you bet with me that I find Vlade, I will. If gold was all I wanted, I would have taken up the offer.

Therry stands up and throws his voucher into the fire to proof his point.

"And if anyone has a problem with my resolution, he can talk to my pickaxe!" Yelled Therry at the rest.

Realizing Therry was getting angry, Therry takes a deep breath before smiling and walking outside.
Right before the exit, Therry calls the individuals out once more.
"I am all in for an alliance, but there will be boundaries so that we can work together and only if you want to. I do not cooperate with people who only listen to themselves."

Dervos watched in silence as Warwolf suggested an alliance. It seemed like an odd thing to suggest since the half-dragon already thought they were going to work together, but, then again, it probably was a good idea to make absolutely sure everyone was alright with this. He was about to speak up, but then, to his surprise, the dwarf started laughing? Then the new guy seemed to get offended by this and the dwarf left to talk about he alliance outside. In the end, the thief just groaned in slight frustration at the whole series of events. It was too early to leave Gavin, this guy knew stuff that could be helpful. Whatever! If the others wanted to focus on getting their team together, then he would just have to make sure he got a lead for them. It was time to start asking the REAL questions.

"Vlade is not to be found. He is not to be disturbed, awakened, or searched for."

The thief suddenly banged his hands in the table violently to get Gavin's attention. "Hold It!!!" He exclaimed, putting on more of a show than anything else. "Gavin, you said Vlade was not to be 'awakened'. What the heck did you mean by that?!" Dervos's mouth twitched into a subtle smile. How COULD he explain that unless he was hiding information? Well, that, or maybe it was just an odd word choice, but still, it was worth the effort to try to see if it amounted to anything. If they were going to find Vlade they had to follow every lead, after all. "The only way that makes sense is if Vlade is sealed away somewhere, right? And I'm going to guess that the only way the Waking Sun could know that is if they knew where Vlade was or are involved in some way that you're not telling us!"

Warwolf listened and acknowledged Marc's response. He did have a point. If Gavin really was the enemy, then. The thought trailed off as the Dwarf responded. Frowning the druid watched the little guy leave and when the Dragon Kind banged his hands on the table. That took Warwolf's attention.

Listening to the Thief's inquiry, the man raised an eyebrow very slowly. Realizing the dragon kind was right, the druid stood there awaiting an answer. Why indeed would Gavin had mentioned "awakened" and Disturbed in the same sentence? An extremely unusual choice of words.

Perhaps the Waking Sun knew more then they were actually sharing.

Therry's temper flared for a moment as he stepped out of the warehouse, but before Marc could really make any effort to respond, a man known as Dervos suddenly slammed his hands on the table. "Hold it," he exclaimed. "Gavin, you said Vlade was not to be 'awakened'. What the heck did you mean by that?!" Marc grinned. Dervos was an observant man to have spotted that clue. It did beg to be answered, and Marc was thoroughly interested in Gavin's reply. Warwolf had also taken an obvious interest in it.

Marc reached down and gripped the hilt of his sword and turned to Dervos. "All I know is that this 'Rising Sun' seems to be our enemy - not an ally. We should deal with this here and now." Looking back over at Gavin, Marc then demanded, "tell us everything you know Gavin, and if I believe you then I might let you live. Refuse to tell me, or lie to me, and I'll kill you where you stand. I am in no mood for games, and you're not about to intimidate me. So let's get this over with eh?"

Marc was confident he was backed up by the other Vlade-seekers in the room, but regardless he was determined to finish this business with Gavin and then leave as soon as possible - hopefully with some new-found allies.

Warwolf Chapter 5: Wise is the call. "I would advise a word of caution, friend." The druid said to Marc looking back towards Gavin. "After all, we don't exactly know how many clan members there are, nor how many might be lurking just out of reach with only a needed call to arms."

Faint was not able to learn much of use before the doors to the warehouse opened, only a short distance away from her. She instinctively shied away from the light, repositioning herself so that she could see a man clad in white robes, the indicatives of a long life beginning to surface in his face. She heard him address the people outside, beckoning them to join him. She had been right when she guessed the one who arranged the meeting would be inside, but she was still surprised she had not come across him on her trek within the warehouse.

As they followed, clearly eager for the slimmest morsel of information they could scrape from this meeting, Faint was surprised to see that only most of those walking inside were human. In particular, she found her eyes falling on with odd, reptilian features, his skin covered in orange scales. Suddenly, the comment about smelling people in the warehouse made a lot more sense, and Faint found herself wishing she could magic her scent away.

However, if she matched voices to faces, this would also be the one with the group’s descriptions. Nabbing that might prove useful, if only to quell her fears that one of those letters had, indeed, been meant for her.

For the moment, however, she held her breath, trying to memorize features as the group passed, and only when they had all went past her hiding spot did she dare move to follow.

The group led her to a large table positioned in the middle of the room, enough chairs arrayed so that all present could seat. Faint spared an unsettled thought towards the fact that, even if she matched one seat to each person present, there was still an empty place left.

Regardless, the man only spoke once everyone had seated.

Gavin was his name, follower of the Waking Sun. She filed that information away for later, frowning. She had come across the name during her investigation – a cult of sorts, if she recalled correctly – but until then had had no reason to differentiate it from any of the other conspiracies surrounding Vlade.

It turned out that Gavin had little to say beyond that, and once she recalled the purported purpose of the group, she was not truly surprised by what he had to say. Abandon your quest, he said, but Faint was damned if she did, and damned if she did not. As if she needed more people to remind her of simply how untenable her position was.

She did, however, perk in interest when the old man mentioned the vouchers under the seats, and she had to restrain herself from peeking out of cover too overtly. It was only made harder by the fire lighting from the other side of the room. As if by magic.

Still, doubt struck.

A blank check, one for each. Just like that? What kind of resources must an organization have to do such a thing? Even royalty would balk at such a thing. And they offer as much simply because a few people decide to look for something that might not even exist? She suppressed an amused chuckle. Why, I believe I found the cure for poverty. Just look for Vlade and hope this cult shows up. Everyone should give it a try.

Not that it would do any good for her. Even if she could take the voucher and exchange it for a king’s ransom, she would have a whole guild of trained killers after her head. She could not withdraw such large quantities of coin on her lonesome without attracting their attention, nor would she be able to make good of such resources before a stray blade found its way into her neck. Nor was she sure she could trust the same thing not to happen if she took a voucher and continued to search for Vlade.

Better the devil you know, after all.

It was rather surprising when every other person in the room rejected the offer as well. The fact that half of them did so out of pride and principle, of all things, was maddening. Taking the risk in order to exact revenge, or doing so because of someone one cared about, those motives she understood, even if it had been a long time since such feelings had managed to move her hand, for she knew from experience the drive they could bestow on one.

As the man in black robes answered the man in white with his own speech, Faint could not help but to instantly dislike him. So polite. So serene. So disgustingly self-righteous.

His words had the make those uttered by politician or a religious fanatic, painting Vlade as this dark figure that wreaked havoc across the kingdom and needed to be stopped, and by the end of his spiel, she was not sure he was referring to Vlade, or to every single danger that lurked in the night, herself and her shadowy patrons included.

Did he have enough concrete information to make that claim? She certainly did not.

Still, ‘snatching babes in the night?' Hah! Does it also kick puppies and stone beggars on the streets?

Either he had bought entirely onto the fears of the crowd, or he was maneuvering for alliances. It was a matter of intransigent stupidity or shameless manipulation, and Faint could not bring herself to trust either. In fact, she did not believe for a second that the man expected anything from this chase other than vengeance for the men ‘Vlade’ had supposedly killed.

She was not disappointed when the man proposed an alliance between those present in order to find their mark. Before one who would likely prefer to stop such a venture, in fact, something that did little to dispel her concerns about the man’s judgment.

Faint checked behind her, trying to make sure no one had sneaked up on her. She did not want to be there when things devolved into a scuffle, but she was also resolved to learn as much as she could from these men.

Therry's side of the story
After exiting out of the warehouse, Therry noticed the rest remained seated. Wonder what else could be said but without embarrassing himself of returning back to his seat, Therry leaned against the wall next to the entrance and keeps his ears open for what else is going to be said if anything.
