 I've cast my vote with ChaosRipJaw's entry, very closely followed by Wyrm's amazing entry - but I appreciated Chaos' entry just a tad more. All were enjoyable though - even DNWolf's bizarre entry - so kudos! Until round 8, gentlemen - and ladies!

 Man I like all these entries (though in retrospect I don't know how happy I am with the execution of Xafgnosi but that's hardly a surprise)!

I totally agree with Kian. I love how ChaosRipjaw's piece feels like it's a part of something. Like we're just getting a snap shot into a bigger event and mystery. It appeals to the part of me that adore the work of H.P. Lovecraft for the exact same reason. We're get a great description of what's happening in the moment we're experiencing but left with unanswered questions and a desire to know more. Plus it has flying spear-wielding mummies!

DNWolf your entry is pure genius imho. You took a collection of disparate items and turned them into an obvious, easily recognizable image. That's not an easy thing to do.

Great work all around. Oh by the bye I didn't vote for my own entry. Just sayin'.

1. Xafgnosi by Wyrm has a nice full range of values, hard to do with stark black and white but it has a nice mid range incorporated with line work within the shadows of the body. Nice use of line variation, between the geometric angular straight line work and the topographical lines. great use of shape and negative space. nice utilization of focal points. great sense of depth. very intriguing composition.
2. Oops! by ChaosRipjaw has been limited to only midrange values, it lacks strong low and high values. only line use is outline. an intriguing composition. not the best use of negative space. an okay use of focal points. lack of shading makes it very flat and takes away from the sense of depth the artist tried to apply.
3. Gosh that's good! by Dragonnightwolf. not a good composition. random linework and shape, not an appealing rendering. components are just thrown together. very flat with only midtones. lacks a use of shadow, form, and highlights. no idea of negative space.
4. Opportunity Drops by afb728 was only in a midrange value, lacked low and high range values. some sense of form is present but not to the degree that the artist is sure of what theyre doing. out lined. shading does not add to the piece, or to the form of the figure. negative space was not utilized.

 Ack, at this rate I think I'm gonna have to use something other than my pentel 0.5 lead mechanical pencil. It's just a wee bit A HELL OF A a pretty difficult time trying to shade with the flat side of that thing xD

 @Flamehead. Once again I reiterate that my first work which was going to have a brick by brick pyramid scheme was destroyed due to technical problems and this was ALL I could come up with on such short notice.

Litterally, I had "maybe" a day to work on it.

 Super cool! Congrats to everyone. Honestly I had a fun time trying to combine the various ideas into a cohesive design. For what it's worth ChaosRJ I voted for your entry. I really liked your drawing and the story behind it.
