How do people feel about this? the idea I had in mind was a completely open world roleplay where you're either a cop, a criminal or a vigilante. It has a sort of noir setting [think Max Payne], and your goal is to thrive or die. There will be criminal hierarchies, feuds, etc etc so you're never truly safe, no matter what faction you choose to be part of.

I'm slightly interested.... Would this still take place in the AE universe? I've always kind-of been interested in a noir setting but never been that great at that sort-of style. I have an idea for a character that would fit but if this isn't a concept that can fit inside of a fantasy world in some way then I'm probably going to pass on it.

Potentially. We can still use swords and stuff and maybe some lee way will be allowed for light magic but there won't be any majestic sights or high fantasy feel to it, just grit.

Any crime drama stuff interests me, and your idea sounds cool. I'd like to be a vigilante cause I have a good idea for a character. Only thing that might put me off is the use of magic. Nothing wrong it, I'd just need to see an ooc to really decide.

Would you allow a vampire that fights by channeling fire, ice, and lightning magic through an umbrella? Kind-of like the Penguin from Batman, but not fat and able to burn stuff.

This looks very interesting. I'm very much into the 'film noir' genre so this is a welcome fresh breath of air through the RP concept. Could we integrate some kind of Mob aspect into it?

I may have an interest and a character, though I am given pause to wonder - is there a premise for it beyond just free roam and criminal activity?
