Simple Poll:

Should passive skills be brought back?
Yes or No

This is something that 9/10 ED plays would obviously vote yes for, however it is pointless even making a poll on this topic as the devs themselves have already stated several times that they clearly have no intention whatsoever to even consider bringing passives back. Although battery is far stronger than the old reroute for many reasons, and the new hybrid is arguably a lot weaker as not only do you need to waste a turn and energy but also the fact there's so many ways to counter it whether that's: hawk bot; abyss bot; using moves like battery/gen/heal to waste a turn duration of it; or simply just building up rage. The way the devs want ED to work doesn't involve passives and if they did they would of never of done the change in the first place.

Pretty much the above. Passive skills will not be brought back, and we had Devs personally confirm this a couple of times too. They are gone, forever.

Yes, they should be back. We need to ask them (Devs) to bring passive skills back, not only one time, but everyday.. someday they'll hear us..

Are you stupid? They are well aware of the demand for passives to return but it simply won't happen.

As much as I liked passives, they better improve what we have now. Going back to the past won't solve anything. Next thing you know, people would want enhancements back, lol.

The fact that passives will not come back means that energy control will remain extremely important.

One way to work around this fact is to completely remove energy cost for about half of the current energy skills, and prevent overuse by cooldown control. For example, Field Medic, all buffs and shields (Technician, Plasma Shield, Defense Matrix and so on) should cost no energy.

Maybe they can bring them back and rename them to something else, that way they don't look like they give in to the player base like they are supposed to do. :/ hehe.

Passives won't be coming back even if everyone walked up to the staff and screamed "We want our passives back!" There have been many topics and suggestions of ways to do so and each time the staff said they aren't coming back ever.

Hey everyone,
Passives won't be coming back. Ever. The dev's have already addressed this concern multiple times over social media.

Nightwraith's Tweet (From September 26, 2014:
quote:

Because I still see confusion on the subject: No, passive skills are not returning.
As much fun as it is to speculate, passives will never return. As such, I'm locking this up.

Thanks,
Battle Elf
