Tank Promo and Seasonal Promise

 The Promo Promise stated that every seasonal promo will return unless stated otherwise. Got it. Okay, non varium players want a chance too. I did not support it but it is what it is. Yet my question is why isn't the tank promo coming back?

This promo, the tank promo, was originally tagged as seasonal both in game and on the wiki page.

So this discussion is about "Why do you think the Tank Promo isn't coming back". "Did you get a chance to purchase it". "Were you planning on purchasing it". I am eager to hear your comments

Since it doesn't affect balance, why should it?
In all games, the base minimum advantage a paying player gets are special cosmetics. So I think it shouldn't come back.

 It was a cosmetic promo which wasn't really popular. Instead of bringing it back for a couple of players who would buy it - mostly those with a surplus of Credits; either long-time players or those who played during Gifting - we decided to keep it permanently Rare because it doesn't affect balance, and gives a little bit more value to the promo.

Yes, the Rare Policy says all the seasonal promos will return a year after / around similar time period, but there are exceptions made - for example, Rare Bots returned due to having a variety of them in-game, as opposed to half of them being previously permanently Rare. In this case, it's a cosmetic advantage + what I said above. As NW said, we can create more alignment-exclusive Bikes/Mutations if there is a demand for them but not necessarily tie them to a promo. They could be made into Rare items which would be only available this Summer, and gone forever - just like the Tanks.

 But you promised. Promises don't get exceptions. And f thats the case then, for variety, why not return Platinums Pride and Infernal Interdictor cores? Weapons that are already coded into the system that will enhance diversity and will not affect balance since the weapons are already balanced?

 Rare Bots were also promised to be rare, and returned due to variety. Exceptions can be made if they are justified, and I've already explained why. If it was a promo with exclusive cores, it'd be another story - but it's not.

Platinum's Pride will NOT be back because it was company-wide Event and all the items went permanently rare in other games, so we CANNOT bring it back. Infernal Staff was made before the policy so it'll not be brought back - it works similar to Mastery cores; increasing your chance to Crit, and increasing damage on Crits, does the same thing on average; Crit more for less damage or Crit less for more damage.

 Massive contradiction. tank promo came out after the promise. No mean to sound hostile but basically you guys do whatever you want whenever you want even though there are plenty of bikes in the game and not enough cores. Yea cores are hard to make but those cores are already made. Nerf them, call it something else and release it to players

Even though this is a massive contradiction and rather hypocritical, The game belongs to the developers so they can actually do whatever they want. Honestly I would not be surprised at all if one they "Accidentally released" The infernal interdictor or the platinum's pride and then "accidentally" posted it on their twitter and got everyone to "accidentally" retweet it.

 Company-wide Event - everything went rare in all of the games, including ED. Similar to the Anniversary Event last year, with Titan's Mug; items required to complete the Event have went rare in all the games after around a month. It applies to all the games and there is no exception.

 Im just massively confused though. When Eggzooka came out that's exactly what happened Qwerty. It was a rare that came out before the Promo Promise so it deserved to stay rare. However, as this vehicle came out after the rare Promise, it deserves to come back in game in a shop along with the Exile and Legion Battlegear. That was your promise. And that's what I want. Every other promo we bought you let back into game, and so this one should too. Even if its just for Varium only. You originally planned it as a seasonal rare and this vehicle, in a game where cosmetics are now starting to matter a lot to players, was something that we were actually looking forward to in this war between EXILES and LEGION along with the EXILE and LEGION battlegear. Battlegear, plus the tank, plus even some exile or Legion sidearms/ armors were what we were looking forwarde to.

Unless you say "It's our game, and we can do whatever we want whenever we want. Especially go back on our promises" then I really feel like you have to release this tank back into a shop.

Oh, i totally missed that promo. Thnx :)

P.S: I think it should stay rare. Since it was an special event. Although it doesn't hurt if they bring back.

 All promos are special events, and this one happened to be seasonal just like the others. And exactly, it's not like im asking to bring back a rare core with no reasoning whatsoever. Im simply inquiring about the fact that they have broken their promise.This can't just be swept under the rug. I was looking forward to owning a tank.

 Hi everyone,

As you all know, Tanks will not be coming back. Ranloth has already explained the reason behind the dev's decision better than I can so I think it's time to move on. Feel free to leave any ideas for new mutable items or rares in the ED Suggestions board.
