Not supported. Stun skills make it possible for everyone to win, it's a weak yet useful move, made to strategically try to win a battle that would be a certain loss. This helps balance somehow, as a "weaker" person have a chance to win if he is lucky enough to stun successfully in the right situation.

In my opinion if you are relying on a stun to win despite a level difference you got yourself in that position and don't deserve to win.

People with high win rates earned that win rate through skill and playtime. If you cannot outmatch them in skill you do not deserve the win. There are many windows open to beat someone 40 ranks above you unless that player duels flawlessly. A person's inability to take advantage of said windows doesn't deserve to win entirely off of a random number generator. Luck should never be part of strategy. Unless your strategy is to use a stun move several times and expect at least one stun off of it (which would most likely result in your loss anyways) the "strategy" is reliant on an unpredictable factor that clearly doesn't show any level of skill.

Not to defend Stonehawk but remember Blocks, crits, and Deflections are also luck factors that can turn a victory into a defeat and visa versa. Even without stuns, if an ill time luck factor (not getting the right number of damage "which does happen to us all" A block or deflection comes at the wrong time due to RNG) even if you played flawlessly you can still lose.

I am aware of this but it applies to both players no matter what. Stun skills are skills that are generally slightly weaker or less cost efficient than others for their damage but have the stun chance. The deliberate incorporation of this into a build means that a stun is expected from the skill since its use won't be entirely for the damage effect. And that means expecting something that is extremely unreliable, game-changing, and lacking in any shape or form of skill.

Removing stuns and adding new skill interactions will still help in making ED healthier and more versatile. I would be against the removal of Block, Crits and etc. for the simple reason that it makes people consider those factors when creating a build, hence those STR freaks with 95 Dex for strategic purpose. Getting stunned completely shuts down any kind of possible retaliations or defensive maneuvers. I don't think / never thought stuns were / are a great addition to the game even though I used to play Tank-Overload TM for years.

Also like mentioned earlier there are now many ways to bypass Blocks / Deflects with cores and Fire Scythe, for example.

If remove stun then remove Ice Yeti, remove azrael's gun, Lionhart's shield, blocks, deflections and everything that affects the other player's turn.

By the way, stun is already badly nerfed, not only because of it's decreased damage, but now that players that are sleeping can still block and deflect, which harmed not only the builds possibility but even the animation of the game, that suggests something different from what it really is.

Keep in mind that at one point in epicduel you had to heal yourself after every fight. Another change was stun used to lower your defenses because logically a stunned person wouldn't be as good at defending themselves.
At some point logic has to give way to improving the game and taking away from how rewarding stun was is one of those things that is improving the game. Now instead of costing the enemy a turn and getting a free hit you just cost them a turn.
