 Focus builds are already crazy strong because they minimize the diminishing return effects from stats compared to any other build. There is no reason to give them extra free damage on another type of attack since they already have this advantage.

Make robot damage instead scale off of technology somewhat slowly (slower than it currently is), and level. The level scaling will make robots more balanced at lower levels.
Additionally, give ALL bots an extra damage effect which scales uniquely with something. Some examples would be:

-% of the target's missing health is added to robot damage
-% of your current health
-Bonus damage equal to a ratio of your block/deflect chance

...stuff like this. Things can get creative. The main reason is to give more builds more varied, unique offensive options without limiting robot attacks specifically to focus builds only, while nerfing focus builds since numbers wise they are a bit too strong right now and constructing one in certain ways can make them arguably the strongest class currently in ED.

I don't see how STR wouldn't run over current 5foc builds with damage if focus damage was gone. It'll be like either TANK TM with psn bot/ia, str tm, support tlm, str tlm, unless like caster builds would need more defense and less(whatever the word is, I forgot 50 str starts uograding less then 85 upgrades even less).

Would be fun to see crazy builds, but it would be stat stacked. If this happened, I'd take off my 45 str from BH and shove it on useful stuff, lol


It doesn't seem right to remove it because it's been there a while (*COUGH* PASSIVES)

 I don't know, maybe give focus builds another option that makes them a bit stronger aside from minimizing diminishing returns. It just doesn't sit right with me that a class which is superior in terms of just numbers on paper gets a free damage steroid, which is entirely lacking in creativity and leaves a lot to be desired aside from them being outright strong right now.

Yeah, the problem is that we only use focus as BH because its safe. Also because strength makes people hate you, nerf you and then call you a noob for losing.

5foc is supposed to be the % getter though, str is fast, so is supp

i use 5 focus and i lose allot because all the builds people use are : strenght builds , support builds and dex builds , 5 focus builds are the weakest

 No you're building wrong then. I don't normally tell people that but in all essence a focus build becomes incredibly flexible once you hit the top 3 levels or so and it is pretty much impossible to consistently lose to a very common build unless you are building inappropriately.

This game is at the point where there isn't going to be any major changes to the mechanics of how robots work. If 5 focus builds were to get nerfed the devs would just nerf it's damage with a lower technology scaling. We all know that Epicduel isn't the devs priority at the moment and due to that second factor it also emphasizes the unlikelihood of any drastic changes to occur. I wouldn't even be surprised if they are just treating ED like AQ, DF and MQ now, as let's be honest if they really cared about ED in the first place there wouldn't be nearly as much problems in the games balance as there is today as well as a lot more frequent and higher quality releases.

the bot that everybody uses infernal android , is very overpowerd thats what makes 5 focus good any other bot doesnt help all that much to be honest

that's taking 100 damage out of robot damage in focus build then why not reduce all damages by 100 and play a 20 + rounds game ? seriously ?

At least I actually explain why I'm thinking something rather than throwing out an attitude and barely contributing to the discussion.

 nothing in the post indicates that robot damage itself will be overall reduced. It just states that the bonus from focus will be reduced and compensated with other things.

Currently doing 5 focus earns you +200 robot damage.

Removing the focus bonus totally would mean the end of 5 - 4 focus builds, but I see that you suggested a compensation?

According to OP the reason of this "change" is due to 5 focus builds being OP, I would partially agree with this, but this is too "general", I mean there are 6 different classes, and each class has a unique
5 focus build, the only mutual thing is "5 focus", and targeting this "mutual thing" would mean fairly nerfing some "OP" 5 focus builds (BHs), but also unfairly nerfing others (5 focus merc).

I think first of all we need to determine which 5 focus builds need the nerf, instead of targeting "5 focus builds" in general, this will mean avoiding collateral damage.

5 focus is the only way to get 95% ratio+ and see how skilled and smart a player is
other builds like str/dex don't need u to be smart becuz u can use anymove and win against another str build even if the player u win against used better moves
it's actually whoever starts 1st wins lol.

5 focus got disadvantages too the speed of F5 is soo slow and btw its not f5 bh that needs a nerf its other classes that need a buff and the major reason is that the class specific weapons are weak and they need a buff I mean who would lose 5 stats to use a skill like atom smash?
I think class specific weapons need the extra 5 stats they will still be weaker than swords tho

Here's what each class needs to be good

Merc - Buff to static smash by making it improve with support

BM - Make parasite improve with support reduce its base % by 5% and make it require no stats

CH- Buff to class specific weapons and another way to gain energy

TM and TLM-Buff to class specific weapons

and that's it

 The whole basis for this suggestion was to make bots a lot more usable on other classes while not necessarily reducing the damage that focus builds did with their robots.

In an essence, it's more of a buff to every other class and build that isn't focus by making the bonus that focus builds get weaker but compensating that with benefits that anybody, not just focus builds, can utilize.
