With all these Support Abuse builds running around, maybe it's the time for a Support version of Intimidate. Increases with dex, so debuffs won't be OPed with this new skill. Maybe make it hunters and TM only, as other classes have good enough skills to take care of these builds.

The only class that lacks a debuff is TLM, not sure how it would work if some have 2.


But if this was a core instead of skill, it could work.

Maybe weapon core, active.

Support debuff cores already exist, though they're rare. More importantly, all classes can easily counter and defeat support builds - even focus 5 builds, which are usually more vulnerable against support builds, can overcome them quite handily if they invest in more HP. As such, skills or cores specifically meant to weaken such builds are unnecessary and would indeed be detrimental for build diversity.

Support debuffs won't make support builds easier, they spam enough support to keep it high even if you debuff it.

Support builds abuse the luck of the game, a game that has problems with luck. Anything agains't them is fine by me.

The problem is the way crits work and poison grenade. There is no actual way to counter crits because of their formula which adds in a set amount of bonus damage that scales with level as well as ignoring a large portion of your defense/resistance. In order to fix this problem, one of the following should be implemented:

-Make another stat affect critical damage modifiers by a percentage
-Change the formula of crits to deal %-increased damage from the original amount after defense/resistance is factored in
-Just overall reduce the damage that crits give out by a lot by massively increase their chances of happening and the cap on crit chance to make support builds more consistent with their damage output

The main problem I see with making a support debuff is that aside from reducing the target's aux damage and effects of certain skills all it does is modify the RNG. And growth serum, no matter how much it is buffed, will NEVER be worth it unless they make it a completely ridiculous %-buff. That core in itself just needs to be changed because it has been useless and pretty much untouched, and just shows that support buffs/debuffs will either be underpowered or overpowered, and at any time in any case, a huge gamble.

The chance to crit could be increased with one stat and the amount of defense/resistance ignored with another stat (support and strength respectively, in my opinion).

To make strength builds not abuse higher defense ignoring on crits, the minimum chance to crit could be decreased and the max chance to crit increased to make support crits more often (but ignoring a lot less defense because strength would be low).

And it could be strategic for smoke, malf and intimidate. You'd be nuking down their potential to counter your debuff, giving you an actually useable move.

750 hp builds extincted cuz of support builds the main reason is super fast rage gain and super strong def ignore they do BECUZ of their super high support the only skill that could be helpful for 750 hp builds is shadow arts so my suggestion is

-Give poison grenade str requirements
-Make fireball disable the opponents multi for 3 turns
-Make hybrid, plasma and mineral armors reduce the opponents rage def ignore by a % and nerf the base def boost
-Give plasma bolt the same effect as fireball but with a nerf to the base damage
