the Quest is to kill 3
spawns

I have try'ed multiple times to kill them but the Quest wont continue and progress is still 0

i did go to epicduelwiki and it said the same about the quest and what you need to do because you can't yet go to in side of the ship.

Kill the spawns aboard the ship. That is how you get it to count them. It isn't a bug and it mentions aboard the ship in the mission.

I fell in the same problem, in fact many players will mistakenly try to go the ship near the level 15 and level 10 spawns, where as you need to go to the teleport pad near charfade, a telly that I couldn't see when the room was full.

So I hope they mention you need to go through the teleport pad to reach the ship rather than going to the ship that appears near the level 10 / 15 spawns by foot which is impossible since you can't reach it.
Also the teleport pad needs to be bigger in case the room is full.
