well too many fame beggars ! they fame you without even asking and spam (''your name'' fame back) and if u didn't fame or was afk or whatever you will get cussed and called a noob and much more !!! and even if u report them , they wont get banned or muted or whatever ... and they keep on begging and spamming ! like seriously something should be done about this like return mute button (wont mute all chats for the sake of 1 person) or a fame off button so u wont receive fame or something and say (this player can't receive fame at this time please try again later) <<< or something similar , cause it really has gone so far and uncontrollable ...

Spammers/beggars will always be prevalent in any game. And indeed, usually moderators exist in order to sanction these people who break the rules of conduct. However, most MMOs or similar type games have an IGNORE button which allows players to at least Ignore/dismiss the players being toxic to the community, while waiting for the moderators to take action. The simple solution would be to remove the in-game fame button and bring back the ignore button. Or add the ignore button back in somewhere. We know the technology for it is already there, so no excuses.

As for fame itself, I remember discussing the matter with Cinderella, many years ago. Perhaps I have already shared this tale with you. She stated to me that the primary purpose of the fame feature was to promote the game by making players share char page links which would indirectly provide publicity for Epicduel. Fair enough. Now that the Char Page medium has been phased out, I see no need for fame to exist. If it must stay, revert it back to its old state, or remove it and retire the achievements.

I support this 100%, fame begging is ridiculous. The biggest mistake EpicDuel made was when they removed the "Ignore" button.

@ T.600

the hacking thing that apparently had always existed came back in full storm and after the gifting event (when people were fame hacking to get gifts) The staff finally decided to do something. Personally I think as many mentioned it they should do like they are doing to get rid of the botting problem which is remove the cheevo's or in another case reset the offender's fame back to 0 while removing any cheevo they earned previously due to the lack of it.

But as for the problem now I seriously think they should just remove it the in game fame option and make the cheevo's rare. the original purpose was to promote the game through social media and have other people fame you, however thanks to the latest change it completely defeated the purpose.

The fame "feature" is totally useless and is only annoying players. Both, beggars and wheedled players.
The daily and overall fame leaderboards should be removed. Also the option to fame players during a
duel as players want to concentrate on the duels and not on other things that will reduce their win rate.
The Rockstar achievement was a really bad idea as it has nothing to do with famousness. Its just a proof
for being a successfull beggar.
