Well, let me just summarize it for you. First battle TFP went first and used chain lightning and energize when he had 14 energy. Then he charged and the next turn I think was when he had that supercharged attack that finished me off. Next two battles he used electric arc and chain lightning more, and the only big combo I remember was about 3000 damage. Through luck I was able to use healing spring several times and I won the last two battles with less than 1000 health.

I was the one to post first if you looked further back. But I am ready to duel today and during the week if I have to. Great job The Jop and Bionic Bear for defeating 2 great players. More worries for us.

EDIT: ABZOIRE and I were on at the same time. I was trying to set up recording software but my labtop was still lagging. I will try again with the desktop but otherwise I may have to use the camera. I realize this is a bad idea but either way I will try my best to get the duel done soon.

Luminitos and I were finally able to have our fight and... I lost 2 to 1. They were some great fights though. Luminitos is a very good opponent!

I had a great match with Dravius! He defeated me the first match and then I won the second match. There was a crash and so we ended up replaying the third round, which I won. Thank you Dravius for a great match! All 3 fights were very close!

Brackets updated! I blink and I miss the good stuff. Everyone did a great job today. Lots of epic fights. Sorry to see so many awesome players defeated but sadly this a ruthless tournament where we can only have one winner. But I appreciate all your great fighting. So hope you guys stay around and help motivated the remaining players as the continue the tournament.

Thanks Kiyone, ruthless indeed and I wouldn't have it any other way. :D

I'll be sure to stick around to witness the winner and cheer Jop on.

This is fairly accurate except for the Healing Springs, as in game 1 there wasn't time to use them and in games 2 and 3 you'd switched to Void Mage, executing the exact sequence of moves necessary each time to finish me in 9 turns. Abyssal Priest generally takes 9-10 turns to win (except against especially defensive characters). In game 2 I was defeated on Jop's 9th turn before my 9th, and in game 3 I was defeated on Jop's 9th turn before my 10th.

Both times this was the sequence Jop's Void Mage executed.

Charge to 19 (takes 4 turns)
Turn 5: Poison x2 (12 energy/24 total)
Turn 6: Draw hand 2 (17 energy/29 total)
Turn 7: Mark of Death x2 (10 energy/34 total)
Turn 8: Draw hand 3 (15 energy/39 total)
Turn 9: 3-hit combo converting 15 energy for around 1650 damage (possibly including Neutral attack)

Poison (4-hits) x2 = 2400
Mark of Death x2 = 1800
3-hit combo (likely including a Neutral attack) = 1650

=5850 (+100-200 of CC bonus damage)

I don't remember my moves quite as well because they weren't branded by trauma, but I know I used a Defend in each of my losses, so this would've been just enough to win for Jop to win (5850/5800).

Now, had the Marks come on turn 5 and the Poisons come on turn 7, this figure would've been significantly reduced:

Poison (2-hits) x2 = 1200
Mark of Death x2 = 1800
3-hit combo = 1650

= 4650/5800

Or had Jop drawn 1 Poison in his first hand and 1 in his second:

Poison (4-hits) x1 = 1200
Poison (2-hits) x1 = 600
Mark of Death x2 = 1800
3-hit combo = 1650

= 5250/5800, not enough.

For Jop to have been able to draw 2 Poisons, then 2 Marks, then 3 attacks in the correct sequence I thought was something of a fluke after game 2 and that even if it happened on game 3 I'd be a turn faster, but it did and I was still a turn too slow. Though with CC's and because Jop could have discarded at 10 to add the Poisons to his hand by turn 4 with 18 charge if he finished me with a Neutral attack involved in his final combo, the odds of it happening again probably weren't as low as I though. It was basically Deja Vu, and in neither game 2 nor 3 did I draw SuperCharge until my last turn before Jop killed me. Had Jop used Void Reflection at all, I likely would have been able to win because of the compromise to his offence buying me time. Had I used Skexis or Void Rebirth, there would've been a chance of my not being able to draw Neutralize -> Iron Hide, as happened in one of my duels against Lack of Fear and I felt the chance of that happening and resulting in a loss was greater than Abyssal Priest losing with the first turn, as that simply hadn't in any testing/matches I'd used it in. So this result was in no way a result of my holding back, and the defeat was absolute and honestly a shock for me.

Very good games, Jop, and win your next match so you can get some SG's at last. :)

Right, it was Bionic Bear I used healing springs against. Geez, how bad is my memory if I forget things that happened a few hours earlier? I'll do my best in the rest of the tournament for you.

Also, you probably know I switched to Void Mage so I could use Void Reflection, but according to you I'm lucky that I never drew the card. Funny.

@ The Jop and TFP - I am surprised with the summary, by what TFP explained I guess it's truly 'FATE' that wants The Jop to go far because there was nothing TFP could do better before setting up huge attacks with his opponents helpful draws and amazing "De-Ja Vu" battle sequences. I'm impressed and simultaneously worried that the same could easily occur to me, LOL.

@ Andlu - You are very humble in words but you need to stop with pessimism and start believing in yourself, otherwise it can effect your life, virtual and reality. :D

Edit: LOL, I am through and didn't even realise. Need to check bracket more often.

Since tuga keeps asking me why I used the character I used. I used it for one reason for the final story idc about the soul gems.

Thanks bro. I am confused that Tuga tried to bring a pun into this tournament but ok. As for crazy RNG I was facing against Gorillo for practice and went 4 games without neutralize. ABZOIRE make sure to stay online as often as possible.

Guess I have to wait longer then, since Megakyle777 is very, very busy. Now I have to distract my anxiety till then.

BTW, someone is so awesome for taking time with me earlier (you know who you are). We had like a dozen fights in private at Solace 666 and 777 and I learned a lot but I paid the price of getting some headaches (from over thinking too much).

Edit: Kiyone feel free to fight me sometime if you ever want too, just PM me.

Guys, try to arrange the fight within 48 hours. People don't have forever to wait. Also nearing Christmas when things are getting busy.

The sign up period was about a month ago. You can't join now.

@Bionic Bear
Thank you! I learned a lot from you as well. Mostly that Beta Void has trouble with opponents that focus on direct attacks. I'll have to adapt my character and CC to my opponent. That's probably what made me switch to void mage against Dylligraphy, a battle I barely won.
