I first played Epic Duel in the gamma stage and I think that was the peak of Epic Duel. As soon as omega came out I didn't mind it too much but as soon as they removed blood lust, reroute and hybrid armour I stopped playing. I don't understand how that is balancing its just nerfing all 3 classes equally. Hybrid armour wasn't OP there were ways to get around it. I just want to know the reasoning behind remove all passive abilities.

So according to the devs passives were removed because they didn't want "mandatory" skills on each class's skill tree. The "problem" was that no matter what build, each class invested around 6+ points into their passive save for a few very rare exceptions, and the devs wanted to diversify builds by removing these "mandatory" skills to allot more skill points for hopefully the creation of other builds.

They flubbed on the rework part of it because the replacement skills, which are skills regarding energy flow, are WAY more mandatory than passives ever were.

Yeah it's actually quite amusing how much classes depend on the likes of battery now, if someone using the pyro bot disabled battery i just close the game most of the time, as there's no point wasting time trying to win a battle without it.

Bringing back passives would actually involve following a form of coherent and simple logic that would actually bring back old players and encourage them to battle again, while also pleasing the current minute playerbase. This would also lead to more profits for the business, and prosperity in general. Why on earth would anyone want that?

This game used to be so popular and fun now its just a shell of what it was. The dev's should listen to what the players want not what they want

believe it or not it was a group of players who suggested that passives be removed. Reason beging that passvies were mandatory for mostly every build, and that if you choose to play without them you were at a disadvantage. So they thought "If passives were gone more variety would come into the game" which was why they suggested it. However sadly even with all the months they put into making it they didn't get rid of all the flaws within it, which in turn caused the energy dependance meta.

My point being is that even though the staff may add things into the game, it isn't always because the staff just decided to do so. Sometimes it is as pointed out player suggestions.

@ goldslayer1

I actually remember seeing some of those topics in the forums, and I even remember posting against them and this was before omega. The response I gave for them was exactly what I saw them post to me a few times as well.

But yeah I agree with the last part. Not to mention the adding cost to core's the week prior to changing passives to actives certainly helped the situation.

has ten 1v1 wins

This suggestion has been brought up many times in the last year, and the developers have continued to state the passives will not return

Locked.
