By "never ending fights" I mean fights between 2 high defense/resistance builds capable of heal looping but can't inflict enough damage fast enough to kill the other.
My suggestion is that after a certain round both blocks and deflects are disabled and damage for all attacks are increased.
An alternative suggestion is a "draw" option where after a certain round both players can choose to end the match and are rewarded with the winning exp and credits.

rage normally fixes things right up, but i agree about making blocks/deflects gone after a battle goes on for a while - imagine rage blocks over and over and over... one is bad enough. and i agree about more damage after no-good quarrel-hitting that doesn't exhaust anyone enough and they keep getting themselves energy/health and giving more weak hitting, battles can get long.

I like the idea of a draw option after maybe turn 25 or so.

I like the idea of increasing the damage, but first it has to be tested. Maybe some builds get a higher advantage than some others.

Btw disable block and deflection isn't a good idea, if this long fight is between a dex build and a strength build, the dex player will be destroyed.

Draw option might be good too.

Yeah, I was thinking the draw option would be better because it would be hard to create a fair alternative that doesn't favor one build type over the other to try and end games after a certain point.

@racing
That could potentially be a problem but I was initially thinking that strength and support builds tend not to have this problem due to them having lower defenses and a higher damage output.

Would the draw option count as a win or loss? What if players said to eachother "Hey, lets both get to a round x so we can both receive the winning creds and xp without getting a loss." and i'm pretty sure the situation would be the same if the devs add in a draw win counter.

Would be a draw counter next to losses. The scenario you gave would be a very inefficient way of boosting. 2 players can already just try to 1v1 each other, have 1 player lose twice and both of them would end up with more rewards in a shorter amount of time than a long fight resulting in a draw.

@Altador987

The point is to shut down matches where it's impossible for either player to win unless they just end up getting lucky. If you like playing long matches you could always just disagree to the draw.
