I'm thinking (DREAMING) about cut-scenes that uses a style reminiscent to Nihon Falcom's. In the simplest explanation, everyone exchanges conversation bit by bit instead of a long page of words from one person at a time in missions. everyone is written with detail to personality, relationship to the protagonist and expression, and dialogue changes with each plot event. Each important character's face and expression (determination/sighing/wide-eyed-looking-down-embarrassed ones i noticed are my favorites ahahah..) is shown with each display of words in conversation. Seeing what I mean by Nihon Falcom-esque explains more than my writing about it. Think it's to be stored as a future story-telling mechanic? good cinematography too for an overview-based camera edit: now that I think about it, undertale is kind of like everything I've written. that and anything by Nihon Falcom are my most favorite games ever; I want to put epic duel on that list too. who doesn't like undertale? so cute and evil or do you folles et fous have yourselves some suggestions to change epic duel inspired from other favorite titles? write 'em up here, discuss what makes us smile, who knows, a big-name might read it. maybe could be a general discussion, maybe could be agree/disagree to my suggestion, i'm confused, both apply, help.
