OK first of all, the dev's need to realize that it is US who play this game and right now there isn't many of US.

We know the real problems of this game, why? Because we spend countless hours and some of us even countless $'s on it.

Yes I understand, some decisions may be 50/50, and that not everyone can be pleased but I mean come on, when nearly the whole community are crying out for something don't ignore it, don't push us away.

Trust me Dev team, you guys have many problems with this game right now, probably not the best time to start concentrating on another game, we don't want another game.

OK first thing you need to do is end Omega, just end it before it ends your game.

Do not introduce a new phase, because apparently anything new will kill this game, for now just revert.

Your solution is Beta, all people want back are the beta days, I mean it was definitely the prime of Epic Duel. You want people spending $'s on your game again? You want people to actually enjoy your game again? Then listen to us.

I get it that new things were implemented for our interest, but obviously things went wrong. Competition is dead, I mean I remember getting 1000+ wins in a day and not even winning the Solo title, now a days factions rarely get 1000 wins a day.

Cores are killing us, and they're killing us cause of your lack of implementing new ones. I mean don't just release one stupidly over-powered core then not bring out another one.

You bring back beta, then I promise you things will look up, get rid of all the crap that you know is destroying your game, and if you don't know what it is then go to central station vendbot world 0. Its the topic of conversation day in day out. Peace.

@Aboloft

Thank you. Im sure many people do and will agree with me.

Beta 2.0 IMO is the way forward. I mean it will give the new guys a chance of seeing the old days, with some revamped rares. All this war business too is no fun either and it kills the game. It gives people the idea of " I will be active during the war and when it ends I won't play for 2 weeks."

I agree with that too. I miss the war system like the one in the infernal mines a while back. That was tons of fun, and i would play every day just for that. With the new war system, i dont play everyday and its not nearly as enjoyable.

Oh and the rank and underdog business isn't that good either I mean how many ranks is there? Not exciting when you level up up. But whenever they released a new level cap in the old days everyone went mental.

Remember the days when Epic Duel would have 4 servers containing about 800+ people in each? Now they can't even fill 1 server..

Again, i agree with you. The dying population of this game should be enough to show the devs that they messed up, but it obviously isnt. I rarely see over 300 people online at a time.

Also the new way members are ranked in factions.

The fact that they are ranked by influence is a joke, considering the war drops are based on luck and money. Id rather be shown how my members rank against each other with wins rather than influence, but this may just be me.

I'd hate to ruin your bromance bonding, but old phases won't ever return to this game, no matter how much people want them to. There is several reasons as to why old phases won't return however i'll give you afew of them. You could say the devs don't like the idea of looking at the past, and that they wish to progress forward in spite of their mistakes they may have done, from the result of this they believe the game can also only progress forward. However what the general community of this game translate that to is, "the devs are too stubborn to revert their previous mistakes of the good of the game". Or something along those lines, to cut things short no, beta will not return nor will any of the features beta had.

Lol. I know that obviously, but there is hope and then again the devs need to hear it.

Sometimes the only way forward is backwards, look at COD for example, re-releasing the old games again.

Just because they don't do anything, doesn't mean they don't know what the problems are. It takes you 5 seconds to type "bring back beta", but they can't push the "beta" button and revert everything. It would probably be easier to completely rebuild the game and even that would take a long time. In the end, they have to ask themselves, "should we spend a year rebuilding ED for the 300 people that play it?".

This is an example of what not to do. Also, people behind COD can do this because there are masses of people who are willing to spend money on anything they put out, no matter what. ED can't do this and make a profit.

Are you seriously comparing ED to COD... I'm just going to stop here.

Well maybe the hard work they put into bringing it back would be worth it.

Believe me when I tell you I understand the work they would have to put in, but why are we talking about it like they shouldn't be working? Isn't that why we constantly pumped money into their game?

@Satafou

Its an example of even the biggest game makers need to revert at some time if there changes don't seem to work out :)

has ten 1v1 wins

Even if it was technically possible to revert EpicDuel to Beta, the issues that would arise wouldn't be worth the change. For example, how do you reimburse players that have purchased items or cores in Gamma/Delta/Omega? Those items weren't around in Beta. Secondly, whether you believe it or not, there have been A LOT of performance improvements and new features added since Beta. You'd have to sacrifice the performance slider, west naval war map, and countless NPCs.

The devs have been improving from Beta since 2010. We can all be nostalgic, but there were plenty of flaws in Beta that would drive you crazy now. It's fun to think about those "good-ole days" but the truth is, those days aren't coming back. Throwing out 6 years of work will NEVER happen, as is reiterated by the staff whenever this question pops-up.

Locked.

Thanks,
Battle Elf
