Frostbane is one of the most iconic, if not the most iconic weapon in Epicduel, but with the Icy Chill core, it's basically useless. I propose that we get rid of the locked core and just have it open like a normal weapon. This is not game-breaking or hardly showing bias since there's really nothing to gain from it except the nostalgia factor and weapon variety. A lot of older players I've talked to are extremely sad about not being able to use it, myself included, and I think it would just be a cool historic weapon brought back. Again, I'm NOT suggesting we buff it, just get rid of its useless core. And no, I'm not proposing we bring it back for sale to the general public.

Icy chill should definitely get unlocked but I think there still needs to be some way to get it back on that same weapon, so maybe make it available in the core store but you can only attach it onto specific weapons, IE the ones that initially had it?

I think that's a good suggestion and it could even be a possible change in approaching other locked cores with similarly useless/little used functions. The ability to delete and reattach cores from the original weapon for a credit price itself isn't game-breaking or advantageous to the owner, all it does is provide a larger variety of weapons to choose from.

It was suggested before, by me and some other members. The devs' response was that all weapons with locked cores, either useless or useful, should remain the same to maintain their uniquness, as in indicate which part of the year they belong to, or which event they are introduced in (Icy Chill as in winter days).

This was viable when cores weren't actually a thing before Omega, and the suggestions (Either this one or other ones) clearly indicate the weapons will maintain their unique cores. So I'm not sure what is holding them back from freeing up these weapons.

Yea, it really is a shame that some great looking weapons are being locked behind useless cores. The issue with Frost weapons, the Mecha weapons, and similar weapons is that they are only viable in battle against a single-type of opponent that players face either only one time (George Lowe) or once a year (Mecha). Before cores were introduced, their respective effects were built into the weapon, so I don't see why they can't just do that again and come up with new actual battle-helpful cores that correspond with whatever seasonal type the weapons adhere to if the devs still wanted to maintain the uniqueness. They could even recycle FrostBite, slap it on to the rest of the Frost weapons, get rid of Icy Chill, and still maintain seasonal uniqueness. IMO, the Frost weapons were some of the best designed and useful weapons in the game when they came out and they really don't deserve to rot in inventory hell.
