It goes without saying that as long as Varium can influence any event, not just wars, the side with the most amount of dedicated players wins every time, it's not even about numbers. Granted, numbers gives an advantage but whatever side the loyalist are on, is the side that is simply "Too big to fail" (or lose in this case)
Wars are the only way at current the developers can at the very least, try to incite excitement within the game. While I may not be slugging it out of recently I did play quite heavily 2 years ago and I've since been floating on the forums despite my seldom posting myself. I've been in too many Varium wars to care much for recent ones and again, as long they keep hosting Varium wars, they may as well save themselves the time announcing them and go get themselves a big mac.
But honestly, I still love ED, is why I continue to float on the forum (even OverSoul) It's just the changes with the recent balance, the heavy influence on hax defensive builds have left me in a rut. I've always been high hp high str builds even way back when health boosters were the "new" thing but now? Now they just made it impossible to go health or strength so it removed any identity I had in this game. I'd rather not play then become another generic heal looper.
