Dialogue
San Robin: Oh, you're back? I thought you were still at the Gouda-grotto.

  • Well... (Enter Quest!)
  • Not now.

*The scene continues where you previously left off. You and the Big Cheese stand firmly on opposite ends of the room should this battle between you both resume.*

<Character>: Your lies and evil plans have come to an end!
The Big Cheese: Evil plans, tsk, as if those temples serve a purpose, the deities don't protect us! Ask San Robin!
<Character>: What do you mean by that?
The Big Cheese: That's for me to know... and for you... to find out.

*He falls flat on the floor, beaten from the fight.*

<Character>: That's the end of him... I wonder what he meant though, I guess I can go back to San Robin and ask.

*You exit the hideout right away to meet up with San Robin back at the entrance.*

San Robin: How did it go?
<Character>: The Big Cheese will no longer pillage temples.
San Robin: That's gouda to hear!
<Character>: However, he did say some interesting things.
    San Robin: Things? Like what?
<Character>: He... mentioned your past and how deities don't protect us anymore.
San Robin: I really don't like to talk about that...
    <Character>: I understand.
San Robin: But I think you have the right to know.
    <Character>: Thank you.
San Robin: You see, I haven't always lived in Falconreach. I was orphaned at a very young age and was taken in by a group of traveling merchants.
<Character>: I'm sorry to hear that.
San Robin: Don't worry about it, my time with the merchants was great!
San Robin: We were like one big family, the traders taught me how to barter and the smithy taught me the basics of blacksmithing.
San Robin: We traveled all across Lore, I've seen many places, met many people.
San Robin: I've sailed with people from Osprey Cove and had weapon training with the ninjas from the Shadow of the Wind Village.
<Character>: So you know your way with weapons?
San Robin: You can say that! And it's kind of necessary when you have a magic problem like mine.
    <Character>: Right.
San Robin: But all in all it wasn't a "normal" life, but I was happy.
<Character>: That sounds like a good life to me!
    San Robin: It really was.
San Robin: Until... The merchants... my family... we were attacked by bandits.
<Character>: So when The Big Cheese said the deities don't protect us, he meant...
San Robin: I fought as hard as I could, I managed to beat a bunch of bandits, but during the fight, a loose arrow knocked down a tree branch...
San Robin: ... which landed on top of my head. I woke up in a nearby village, some villagers found me and my family.
San Robin: They told me I was the only survivor.
    <Character>: I'm so sorry...
San Robin: The bandits must've thought I was dead... the only reason I survived is pure dumb "luck".
<Character>: What did you do after that?
San Robin: I was furious, but...
San Robin: I realized I couldn't do much at that moment, so I decided to keep traveling around and train while keeping an eye on nearby bandit activity.
San Robin: During my travels, I met Roblos... and we decided to train and fight crime together.
<Character>: So that's how you came to be here.
San Robin: Yes... we don't always see eye to eye, but in the end he is my best friend.
    <Character>: And the bandits?
San Robin: I haven't managed to find them yet.
<Character>: I will keep an eye out as well.
    San Robin: I appreciate that.

*He looks up at the sky and notices that dusk has arrived. You both were so deep in conversation that you didn't bother to notice.*

San Robin: It's getting dark, we better get back to Falconreach.
<Character>: Agreed, a lot of monsters come out during the night after all.
San Robin: But there's still tons during the day!
    <Character>: *Groan*

*You and San Robin take an evening hike through the forest back to Falconreach. An HP/MP healing pad is present at the start of the hike.*

Pop-up headlines when stepping on the healing pad in the forest:
    quote:

    "Great taste, less filling."

*Approaching the golden lit circular beam after the trio of bandits is fought completes the quest.*
