Hey guys,
I'm sure there's plenty of these as the game is basically dead. The only arguement to that is every now and then old players make new accounts or someone already playing makes another bot account. You can tell if you make a new account that there isn't a single new player to the game. EpicDuel has completely destroyed itself and I cannot bring myself back.

I started playing this game when it first came out, so far back that diamond blades was actually a thing for Bounty Hunters. I loved the game even without any of the paid content that was to come. Later on the game updated and you could pay $20 for the elite weapons and would give you and edge. They also released factions around this time. This is when the game was amazing to me. I really couldn't pull myself away especially with how much interaction you got when you tried talking to other players. That is something practically non existent now.

Later on, EpicDuel teamed up with Artix which I was scared that would be the downfall of the game, but it actually made it even better. I think there was also a resurgence of players around this time too. Being an Elite player, I had unlimited Varium and we were told it was gonna stay that way (which it didn't, sadly) and I could enjoy all the in game luxuries the game had to offer. The game was coming close to its peak.

The gamma Beta, Delta, and Gamma phases were all phenomenal. Everyone complained about broken builds, but they were fun and it actually showed people cared about the game and would still talk to you. I would constantly switch between classes to try to counter these or just to exploit them and I never wanted to stop playing the game. I can't remember perfectly when the game removed weapon stats and started adding more things you could just add to them (I.E. chance of stun, better chance of crit, things like that,) but this is where the game started degrading.

At this point it felt like the developers weren't trying. It felt like the game lost any sort of fun and I guess most of the players agree seeing they're all gone. I've tried multiple times to enjoy the game, making new accounts, playing on my main, whatever just trying to find where the game could seem fun. Sadly, that's not a thing anymore. No more people to talk to. No more high damage fast matches. No more personality in play style. Nothing that made the game what it is.

Now again, I'm sure there's been quite a few of posts like this and I'm just spewing the same stuff you've already heard, but I figure I might as well do it too for a sense of closure that the game won't go back to the way it was before. I've considered selling my account, but I know it's unlikely for me to find a fully secure way to do it let alone find someone who still plays this game. It's not like my Appha, beta, or any of my rare items have any value seeing stats are non existent.

So this is my farewell to EpicDuel. Thank you for the memories and thousands of hours of fun. But I cannot play this game anymore. There is no fun left.
Gg,
Tal..

I disagree with you I'm not going to go into a long post

But beta gamma , delta were not the great times

A great game doesnt attract 2000 players (ED's absolute peak) usually more like 1000-1200 players absolute max

A great game attracts 10-30,000 + players

This game never had anything like that

And the great phases you speak of were mostly people AFK in central station avoiding getting slaughtered by the p2w you would find in every battle mode

And you would see the same people quite frequently in 2v2 because not alot would pvp....And you would very rarely encounter a player at the end ofd the game none varium/elite that was active, There was a reason for this

Weapon changes and omega was an attempt to fiox trouble was the only people still playing were the ones that wanted free wins, Everyone else had left and never were going to return leaving this game with a terrible reputation of p2w.

The changes were not implemented well but the downfall was not the omega phase, It was the length of the p2w era the damage was already done before the change, Only the free win seekers remained.

Btw I've played as long as you, I dont remember it the way you do.

Well I can't really argue with you. I remember when the elite package first came out I was jealous of all of the exclusive and powerful primaries and sidearms. Although, lots of people didn't play the game very smart (I.E. BH builds focusing on smoke screen, but having energy primaries) so it still felt like I was winning a lot and still had fun.

I know where you're coming from 100% though. I had many F2P accounts because the BH life got boring every now and then and I didn't have the money when I was 13 to keep putting into the game. Players got smarter and made it feel like I was always losing, but I do remember quite a few F2P accounts that were always playing.

Maybe some of the changes were warranted to help balance P2W and F2P gap, but they weren't hiding the fact that they wanted you to spend money at all. That's why they took away the fact that elites had unlimited Varium. Trying to balance P2W/F2P while being money hungry isn't a good combination. That's just my opinion though, I know someone will say they weren't money hungry and that's fine. If people still support/defend this game that's good.

The game had tons of potential, but failed to keep up with the times with its monetization model while not understanding how to properly balance the game, constantly cramping their design space and applying bandaid fixes because of it.
