If you ask me, that permanent dragon blade should be one of the items that isn't tradeable. Just looking at the mess that one items has caused is kinda ridiculous. The staff already regret ever having made one, and this just backs that up further.

I'm still looking for a few things, which are listed on this post. I'm still also open to other potential deals, so do PM me if you're interested in making an offer. Just a heads up though: I don't collect rares just for the sake of rarity and I like rares to be actually useful to my character.

I don't consider the permanent dragonblade as anything special. Not unless it can scale to our level. Would it be nice to have? Sure, why not, but it's not as if fighting 8 dragons for a temp weapon is impossible.

And while we may already have trades planned, we can't expect all trades to go as intended. People can change their minds about some trades. I'm thinking of backing out of at least one trade but I won't make that decision till later. It might be better to know the exact details of how this trade system will work before deciding.

Functionality is superior to rarity for me. If some of the more useful items happen to be rare, so be it. If this trade system goes well, many will be able to get items they've missed out on.

All due respect but the items you've mentioned are pretty bog standard when it comes to rares. Heck Ultra Omni isn't even rare to begin with. They are all seasonal, GGB or gold frostval rares(and not even the most desired ones).
Dont embarrass yourself really. That stuff doesnt come close to matching the value of the DB, not by a long shot.

Coming from someone who's been posting embarrassing rants these past few week, you really are one to talk. You say it's game that's barely played by anyone, yet the views he gets, comments on this thread and the player count say otherwise. There's trying to be argumentative but now you're just getting personal and coming off as incredibly vulgar and prickly.



I think it's time to quell any talk of trading the DB seeing as how we're not really getting anywhere and some people are just being really salty over it.

Not entirely sure why everyone is flipping out over the Dragon Blade when Dragonhand, which is of a comparable rarity, is being completely and utterly ignored. ;(

In any event, their totally subjective perceived values in in-game currency (a plethora of "lesser" perma-rares, in this particular case) aside, the aforesaid are easily worth--objectively, at that--hundreds, maybe a thousand, (of) dollars, US. Odds are, none of you will find someone willing to part with them anyways. ...Buuuut, best of luck to all of you. lol

Clearly, there is more to rarity than just the number of copies in existence.

I think it's because the Dragonblade is more iconic. There has been several Dragonblades in the history of AQ's timeline. Ornate Dragon Blades, Shadow Dragon Blade, Ice Dragon Balde, etc. But this is the one true vanilla dragon blade.
With that being said, I crave weapons like Frogzard Sword, Krieger Blade and MageSoul even more. Unfortunately I've given up on that considering I've never even seen anyone with them.

Edit: They should really make a Vanilla Dragon Blade, I'm sure Pepp would agree :P

Well, yeah. Dragon Blade is probably the most iconic weapon in the game. Conversely, I hadn't even heard of Frogzard Sword and MageSoul until they were "reintroduced" to the game in their new iterations. That being said, Dragonhand is definitely immediately recognizable by most. It was an old-school Donation rare almost as desirable as the DB itself from what little I remember of this game as a wee lad.

Ah, in a way, the rarity works against itself.

Rares that are so rare... most people haven't heard of them. Makes sense. We need a Top 20 Rare list for each item category.

If Mime Axe which has 5 copies is ranked third, then Mage Soul probably has only two or three. Teardrop probably less than ten. Haven't seen anyone else with one.

The top ten rarest weapons as of 2015.

Mime Axe, Frigid Reaper, Cyber Shogun Odachi, Black Friday Battleaxe are contest / raffle prizes with known limited quantities. From there you can sort of figure out the rest.

Speaking of which I am interested in the following items:
1) Irony Man Shield(main priority, depends on item Plvl too)
2) Mongloween Candy Bag(any, low priority)

Any items in my character page(and vault) are up for grabs in-exchange for the above items on a case by case basis, with the exception of Frostval Spear-It. While I want Candy Bag, I am not that desperate for it so it depends. PM me for more info.

Also for the record I believe the captain only allowed trading of RARE or token items only, nothing else. So items that are still available for gold in-game and aren't rare are off limits.

Nothing has been confirmed by the staff actually in terms of what direction trading/gifting will go, so I'm not gonna hold my breath. If anything none of the "deals" in this thread are finalized yet, they are just a rough idea.

I really love the old timers in here who have knowledge of the early days. So much of AQ's early history wasn't properly documented and it's such a shame imo. For 2007 and later you can easily find info on the forums, youtube and from other community members, but even 2006 gets a bit tricky to find all info about. And the really early years are almost impossible unless you are willing to do some digging. I personally have done quite a lot of that and it's always exciting to find out more about the history of this game. It's quite remarkable how much it has changed while still retaining the basic mechanics that were used in 2002.

And as I've said in the discord server, I'm also very much wanting to get a hold of the Dragon Blade as well as some other 2002-2004 rares. But I I'll wait until trading is implemented to make an offer since I'm still contacting the owners of some old accounts, including one of the Mini Carnax owners, and trading with these people would give me an excellent edge in trading with the old timers in here heheh.

Can also repost my list of trades I wanna make. If anyone has any of these and want to trade, send me a PM. Or if you have any other rare related item or topic you wanna talk about, also send a PM.

Apparently there is a 2015 version of the Logos shield. Thought you meant the 2005 version.

If trading comes along, we're going to need a way to differentiate between items with the same name.

 Logos was revamped to a water shield with a nifty blocking ability. Im surprised people actually want given the lukewarm response it got when it came out. I think i've got a couple of them in storage.

Looks great with the TeraSuul set for your char page

Logos is a really fun shield. You can almost get your combat defense to the low 90s with the toggle and a good armor. Its art is also pretty damn fine.

I started in 2002, but I was really young then and so my memory around that time is hazy at best. If you have questions from about late 2003 onwards (around the time Willow Creek), I should be able to fill in the gaps. I've taken various hiatus over a decade though.
