Unfortunately you got name changes wrong, what you purchased was the name "change", not another name for yourself, which would have to count as an item.
Names are not coded as an item in the game, and such will require a large change in database to start collecting names from this point on, previous names changes are in no way tracked.
Your idea is more like name item hoarding which seeks to "copyright" as much of the available combinations of words and letters for yourself. This is a bad concept, because its taking the "locking away content from other player" to a higher level, the concept that really old accounts are to have their data wiped to free names for newer players is a general database routine in AQ, DF, MQ, AQW and WF .
If you wanted multiple names for yourself simply create alts and simulateneously have those names at the same time, switching to another at will, without ever spending varium, which is a much better deal.
