Both of those are pretty good ways to inflict statuses. For your ice burn setup, you could use King's Reign, the alnaphar set, which is a fire armor with a four hit basic attack. You could also use war's legacy, which has a four hit weapon based skill that follows your weapon's element.
As for armors / weapons that imbue burn to spells, for both ice and fire there's a magic weapon. Ice has Aciel's Calamity, which slightly reduces spell damage to inflict more ice burn (try it with the Frostbite spell, or with the Giftboxen Spell we just got), and there's the Heroic Titan's Herald weapon for fire, which pays SP to inflict a permanent fire burn, which you can then stack up and up with any other fire burn.
There are tons of other options too, but if you're looking for fire and ice, that's a place to start. You could cast spells like 74th Law for fire burn, or Burning Question, or the New Token Spell (Surtra's something or other, tokens though). Let me know if you have any questions
