since you rarely ever read my posts, and don't often read others either, you probably didn't see that.

I do read their posts, why do I have to tell you if I read someone elses posts, and why do you keep saying that because I DO

forumlogin -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/10/2011 20:52:15)

@Hellsoarer
Maybe because you never acknowledge any of the arguments presented in favor of lessening rares, dismiss any arguments contrary to your opinion (such as making SCMMs bimonthly) with a no and nothing else, and various other factors all pointing to you ignoring most of the posts.

But that's getting in a direction which involves me being way too venomous than I should.

So, on a lighter note, what smaller changes d'ya'll think MQ should implement?
Stuff like more haircuts, a clothes shop update, etc.
Personally, I'd like to see mecha have a secondary and tertiary coloring system like ED (thanks, Ein.).
Pick one color as the main color, then another to get some other parts, and a third color for things like the nails or foot linings.

Schwarzbart -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/11/2011 2:06:33)

I think one of the big weakpoints of AQ and MQ ist that you are left alone in what equipment is good or not so good till you find out about the forum but even then its a loot of work.

RagingPanda -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/11/2011 15:34:43)

For me, MQ got boring because of the long grinding in between levels. I loved the idea of Mecha and being able to pilot one, but what really did it for me was the fact that you do it solo. Not too much variety and you can't talk to other players live like in AQW. I just get bored after a few fights when I log in and the seasonal maps? Boooooring. Just cut and paste with little new content.

YES MOAR HAIRCUTS!!

RainBlade -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/11/2011 18:20:17)

It would be nice if you could customize your character eye colour and yes definitely more hairstyles wouldn't hurt either.

DarthTwiggums -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/11/2011 20:23:55)

I'm planning to get a Dragon Amulet soon. I love MQ, but one thing DF has over MQ is that there is much more stuff to do if you're upgraded in DF than if you are upgraded in MQ.

Destroy8r9 -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/11/2011 20:27:52)

@ darthtwiggims that's because of aqworlds taking all our staff we only have one full-time staff member and that's korin

megakyle777 -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/17/2011 12:24:26)

The lack of continuing story honestly made me quit the game. I like MQ and feel it has potential, but we have had little to no Story Progress ALL YEAR, and when we did, the cutscenes were somewhat bad compared to the other games, and the story which had a good going at the beginning seems to have paddled off into multiple different things.

Also, I feel the game has gotten too mini game centric. I would like it if Mini Games were an option rather then a necessity. I have not completed the most recent Frostval Quest due to this. But yeah, story more important.[;)]

mt -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/18/2011 3:27:50)

this topic is sadly a dead horse being beaten with a whip.

for your list rares should be a main problem not a supoorting one.

I believe that mq needs a couple of things

1. needs a little freshness aka stats when not given to 1 stat alone has no effect.

2. rares -another beaten horse- you guys destroy half the cool stuff you buillt!!! imagine if there were only half the number of rares, how many choices would a person have at every level??

3. lack of intake from the community- the suggestions shop. now this isnt a rant but i only see about two-three names of people who have designed a piece?

4. lots of half thoughts for example, you guys had that ship diving mini game why havent we seen that on say necyptosis? why havent we had many redoes of the system where we the players are forced to adjust our mech builds to beat challenges?

and lastly 5. grinding for gold- gold is a pain and exp becomes a pain. At level 29 i think? i had to spam evil jim(level 40) with a lucky wolfblade because he had a newbertron and it took a coupple of non stop grinding hours!!! with 1 hit or two hit kos!!!!! i mean why??

however lets look at a bright spot in this game- it has the potential its a hidden diamond that needs to be cut so it can be used! the staff, who unlike some game developers(thats right war of legends im pointing at you) are human and actually care if something awful happens to a player. but back to the point, ^ are what we need. we are not asking for immediate tech magic. we are asking for recognition such as with the s.o.o.n list and some info telling us there is progress

guthixnite -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/18/2011 6:53:14)

personally. i don't play mechquest because the storyline doesn't hook me in, although right now i am working on westion storyline while farming in DF for soulweaver and talking to my friend on AQW. i may even open up AQ to get a little bit in there. personally, i find no problem with keeping up with the forums while playing AQW,DF,MQ, and AQ at the same time. my only problem is the story isn't east for me to grasp like DFs Ravenloss saga or AQW and it's chaos lords

Selutu -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/19/2011 4:20:43)

MQ can focus on the storyline a bit more (they say it'll be done this year)
New mode for SC as in Extreme, Hard e.g.
Open Hard or Extreme for SCs

valiant viking -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/19/2011 5:27:34)

MQ is fun to play at first specially if your a star captain and you have a SC mechs ,its my fave among the others because it gives more benefit to players who upgrade their account than the other games, but as time goes by, it becomes boring and repetitive.. i agree that the game is harder at lower levels making the game difficult to play for new players who dont have SC upgrades, they should do something about that, its an excellent idea creating verified mech to encourage players who support and play other artix games, but they should create more weapons to go along with it which is upgradeable, making cool equipments upgradeable will make it more fun, it will be better to add more battle options for character battles instead of having only attack and strong attack, there should also be some specials for different uniforms and special moves for SC's.. making some of the uniforms special classes that has special moves will make it fun as well, like the ninja.. etc.. also make the cool weapons upgradeable so it will be more fun to personalize your mech setup, because most of the cool weapons and favorites are stuck on their levels, and you'l not be able to use them anymore if you reach high levels.. by making the cool weapons upgradeable specially the favorite rares, it will give players options to personalize their mechs and giving them lots of options and possibilities making the game more fun and interactive

No more vanity. I believe the amount of haircuts right now is good. Storyline over vanity anyday.

forumlogin -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/19/2011 21:23:28)

@trans
That was more about the question, what small things would you like improved about MQ?
Haircuts was an example. Other examples include but are not limited to higher sellback rate, more color options, a secondary/tertiary coloring system, uniforms doing stuff, etc.

arny -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/22/2011 17:32:46)

the new releases( since January 2011) seems silly to me because they always put something that wasnt that really important, but maybe im wrong at its only the beginning of a new year

Darkopilisk -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/23/2011 22:47:27)

hmmm my opinion; Mech Quest is a popular game, its just that it fails to hold the more fickle fans, but for the more hardcore who are prepared to farm and what not it seems perfect, the stories are always extremely entertaining... i think simply it should be easier to level up so that fans are more gripped by it, and maybe a cutscene at the very start of the game that explains the general idea of whats going on in the unvierse... just a suggestion.

Moon Raven -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/24/2011 8:29:08)

I think they should release some kind of Challenges like K&S or just make more of those so you can battle higher lvl opponents than you are, that would make grinding much easier.

Razen -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/24/2011 17:13:38)

Well, considering much of AE's help is volunteer, MQ needs a more solid team of volunteers, and paid members! That's why MQ doesn't get as much of updates, and thus is less popular.

BumFoolingGuy -> RE: MQ's Low Popularity (1/24/2011 20:47:58)

Since almost a few of the things in the S.O.O.N. list is the revamp of the energy blade fighting, a special preview move for the Ultra-Violet or the Evil-Jim's replica weapon?
