Usually, when I battle against say...A Merc...This would happen

Me: Malfunction
Merc: Bunker Buster
Me: Static Charge
Merc: Artillary Strike (Merc is now out of Energy)
Me: Strike (Frostbite Activates)
Frostbite: Does nothing...

I personally, would like to see Frostbite being put into every skill that makes contact (Aside from Ultimates) because you know, a chance to do 15% more Damage is so much more useful than 5 Energy loss per turn for 3 turns when your opponent has No Energy at all...so what do you guys think?

Silver Sky Magician -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 12:30:08)

No. Do you have any idea just how powerful Frostbite is? It can ruin an entire build due to pure luck. And I mean pure luck; the chance of Frostbite activating isn't even affected by any stat or skill. There's no need to buff it further. I would go so far as to say that letting Frostbite make attacks do 15% more damage instead if the opponent is out of energy is as good as allowing EMP and Atom Smasher do HP damage when they drain more energy than the opponent have left, and letting Assimilation gain an additional 15% damage in a similar scenario. Which is clearly unviable as it would make energy draining skills/effects even more deadly and unbalanced than they already are.

Infinity Everlasting -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 13:21:08)

It's ironic that this is coming from someone who owns a new frost weapon, my builds have been destroyed by frostbite skill many times, so it certainly does not need a buff

plus, not every merc drains their mp in 2-3 rounds

Rayman -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 13:23:34)

No.
What about if u apply Frostbite to ur opponent that have 4 or less energy the Frostbite Dot is send to u?

Then you need more Energy >.>

At least 90% of the Mercs I meet drain EP in 2 Rounds

@Above The HoT is a great idea. If you get Frostbite on a player that has 4 or Less Energy you should inflict a HoT on yourself (And Yes, I noticed you said DoT "-.-)

I think frostbite is the 1 of the best ability ever it stopped this guy from healing in battle so i won

liy010 -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 14:02:09)

Eh, Okay...I guess it's good enough...

Battle Elf -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 15:32:58)

I personally think FrostBite is a fatal special to non-energy regain classes and is very very powerful.

But
quote:

As a general rule, no buffs will be granted to rare items. This is regardless of their status as Limited, Seasonal, Promotional, etc. In order to achieve a more balanced system of play, buffs cannot be guaranteed or handed out on a regular basis. This policy has been decided by the game staff and is not likely to change. However, if you feel that your case is especially strong, that is, you have numbers and evidence to support your conclusions, you are welcome to contact the game staff using this forum's PM system to discuss it more thoroughly. Keep in mind that the game staff cannot promise that your case will be followed through upon, as the game's balance will take precedence over personal requests for the sake of all of the game's vast player base.

You can discuss this in the ED Balance Thread but there is a very low chance it will be considered :).

The Game -> RE: Changing "Frostbite" (4/6/2012 16:25:57)

The above post pretty much hit the nail on the head. Taking into account that quote, ED Balance Discussion would be the best place if you feel something needs to change. Otherwise, you seem to have already conceded the point.
